yo Shorty, it's ya birthday π₯³
Who: Beat and Futaba
Which: Closed log!
Where: One of their treehouses, and wherever else they decide to go
What: Celebrating a birthday, forward dated to the 19th.
Warnings: Probably none but some very schmoopy doo feelings and cute.
[It was a normal day, nothing truly special, but a normal day was usually spent with Beat anyway, but that made it better than normal, and much more special.
She didn't quite remember when, but when the topic of birthdays had come up, Futaba had casually dropped her own— it wasn't usually important, but now... now it felt like it should be important. As much as Beat's own was for her now. So when he mentioned wanting to come over, hang a bit, the yoozh... well. He wasn't forgetful, so he had to know... right?
It was actually exciting.
When the knock at the door came, she knew who it was. How could she not? Beat just had his own way of knocking that just screamed it was him. It wasn't long before the telltale thuds of her running to the door, and how the door practically flew open to reveal a brightly smiling Futaba. Her clothes were the same, but her hoodie looked a little different...]

Bones!

[And that was put into just making a blanket and pillow fort because that's what she had on hand.
Once inside, though it's not very big; just big enough for the two of them to eat comfortably and watch something, two plates of curry and rice are already waiting, still steaming. That had been the last thing she'd been doing before he knocked, so it had been pretty perfect timing! Laptop is also ready to go, episode she wants to see just needing to have the Play button clicked.]
I tried to make each portion equal since I know we'll eat a ton of it, and so you won't accuse innocent ol' me of giving myself more. [She would NEVER do that, of course, she's innocent. :)]

Already ready to dig in, he stops himself when she mentions that she kept the curry equal between them. Looking over the two plates, his forehead creases as his brows scrunch together.]
You sure 'bout that?
[If there is a difference between the two, Beat didn't see it. But that didn't mean he was going to let Futaba off easily.]

[Just gonna. Help herself to a giant bite off his plate.]
Guess I have more!
[There was a lot put into the silly fort, but if it got a little destroyed, that was fine. Just as long as curry sauce doesn't get on anything!!]

Hold up! I didn't mean you canβ
[It doesn't seem like he's actually mad, but he certainly sounds surprised. He swipes at her when she grabs a bite from his plate only to hit one of the sides holding the blanket fort up, causing the top to slip and drape over both of their heads.]
Yo, who turned off the lights?!
no subject
You did, Bones! Augh, the blanket—!!
[IS SHE GOING TO HAVE CURRY STAINS ON HER BLANKET LIKE AN OTAKU WHAT
Hopefully she's quick enough to save the blankets from a curry fate... for how she normally is, this was a fairly quick fix for her, and the blanket doesn't look...t oo bad.]
Phew... I think I'm safe from a lifetime of curry blanket...
