[CLOSED] Food and Booze
Who: 76, Alastor, and Husk
Which: Log, Closed
Where: The Wild Harvest
What: Alastor shows Husk where to get some booze and some good food in Reverein, introducing him to the brewmaster himself in the process.
Warnings: Standard Alastor warning applies. Also both he and Husk are from Literal Hell which is not a nice place, the two of them being humans who got sent there due to them royally screwing up their own lives.
" -- absolutely delightful, I tell you!"
Alastor hadn't stopped chattering since he'd decided to show Husk the best place to get a drink in Reverein. There was a certain amount of pride he had in the steadily-growing town similar to his pride in the Hazbin Hotel. It wasn't his territory -- he didn't even claim the radio station that he helped construct -- but it was his where it counted he supposed.
It'd been a while since he'd seen anyone from his Hell here, and he'd been utterly delighted it'd been dear Husk. However, he knew the cat wouldn't be happy without a bottle of booze, and he knew just the man to take him to.
"And here we are! The Wild Harvest! Marvelous place with excellent food! Not to mention good alcohol!"

That kitten was likely to remain nearby, curiosity piqued, but clearly smart enough to not be underfoot while doing so.
76 hummed a little- "Always appreciate the recommendation as well, Alastor. It was more around when she first opened- still have some old flyers from then that we made for it." Something kept on hand just out of fondness, too.
There was a tip of his glass towards Husk then, briefly. "We kick out the violent drunks, just for the safety of those working here and other customers. More so if they attack someone in here, and at least it's only happened a couple of times. The bitching bit was a joke.
"Most tend to honestly behave, and when they actually want an ear they get it. Got the garden they can sit in for a bit of privacy, too."
Sorry for the delay. My brain peaced out all of yesterday
He waved off 76's gratitude. "Keep cooking as well as you do, and I'll happily keep recommending you! Even if it means I have to fight a crowd, you having a steady stream of customers means I still get to enjoy your food from time to time. Mutually-beneficial!"
It's okay!
Husk knows Alastor hates being touched. He knows Alastor must first initiate the touching. Sorry, Alastor, but Husk is moving to put a paw on your forehead to make sure you're okay. Because this isn't really like you.
"You sure you're okay?"
The RL Hell Stress Be Real _(:з)∠)_
Wasn't hard to make that assumption that there were some difference and things he was missing.
"Mutually beneficial is the best way to be around here." Hm, "Though I guess I'll have to take time off from the Harvest after my wedding."
Genuine worry from the Vegas aesthetic guy, huh.

"I never barred anyone from performing over the radio in Hell! It's just nobody wanted to! Apparently not even after my little sabbatical!"
He rotated his head around despite the already awkward position to look at 76, smile cheering someone and his ears pricking back up.
"Ah, so you're to be the latest victim of holy matrimony! Should I offer my condolences?"
He was teasing. Mostly.

"I mean... You are very possessive over your property." Husk should know. He's been owned by you for HOW many years, Alastor?
"I wouldn't think you'd be willin' to share your radio tower."
Husk will mull this over in his head, but first, he'll take a nice, long chug from his whiskey bottle.

Guy really must've made a hell of a reputation for himself.
76 did pull up the hidden stool behind the bar, letting himself take a seat for the moment since there was no rush to keep to his feet for. The bit of a break would be good for him- or something like that. Still a concept he was getting used to after all his time here.
"Depends on if you know Reaper or not, and even then some might offer both." The fact that the man had proposed to him on Halloween, on this very bar counter, during the Wild Harvest's Halloween Party.
"Still surprised he asked at all."
Did pause briefly, head tipping Husk's way-
"By the way, you get a free sampling of Dream Honeyshine if you're interested. Stronger stuff than what you've got in hand now," a little gesture towards the jars that held those colorful and galaxy-like glowing liquid behind the bar as well. "My own recipe, hobby I picked up since most normal stuff is like sipping at water."

Alastor had twisted ideas of fun.
He recognized the Dream Honeyshine. It'd been what had gotten him utterly blasted at Eustace's bachelor party. He could warn Husk but...nah.
Though he was going to wait for when Husk was too far into drinking that he couldn't quickly stop himself without choking before idly twirling his own glass and saying, "Though for the record, Husker, the radio tower here isn't mine."

Goddamnit. Alastor.
Husk knew what's coming. The punishment won't be as big as... well, having to scream on radio, but Husk would still hate it and made a glare at Alastor that was a mixture of resignation and 'Don't you fucking dare'.
Without turning to face 76, Husk spoke in a low growl. "...If what you say about that moonshine is true... I might fuckin' need it."
Fuck Husk's life.

Some things between Reaper and himself were complicated, and yet here they were. Their spars these days did not usually get into them shooting at each other these days at least.
He did wince just a little at the spray of whisky and just sat his own glass down, setting both a clean cloth there on the bar top within Alastor's reach if he needed it, while also picking up one of the smaller jars. Still the size of a larger drinking glass, the sparkling/glowing liquid within a mix that held various shades of orange and red along with black that didn't mix with movement, setting that down within Husk's reach.
"Here."

Alastor leaned towards Husk just enough so that the vast majority of spat whiskey ended up on the feline when he proceeded to spin his head around like someone put a scene from The Exorcist on fast forward. He then finished dabbing what was left on himself off and wiped off what ended up on the bar with the cloth.
Grinning playfully, he reached out to start petting Husk under the pretext of wiping off the whiskey.
"You should be more careful, old friend!"
no subject
But once the petting ends, Alastor can damn well be sure Husk is going to grab that glass of glowing liquid and down it as fast as possible.
...Damn. That's actually some pretty good stuff. Huh!

"You're welcome to another drink yourself, Alastor- or anything else as a sweet or non-sweet dessert if you feel like it." May as well offer, given it was the polite way to go about it. That and he did like to ensure folks were satisfied and not left hungry.
"Even if it's just re-fills for either of you; food or drink."
no subject
Alastor sprang to his feet, picking up his empty dishes and heading towards the kitchen.
"I'll leave you two to discuss the finer points of brewing. I'm afraid my interests in it only lies in the flavor."
