💀 ii. fresh coat of paint
[In the hours and days following Beat's message on the journals, he constantly finds himself standing in front of the memorial wall made after the fall of the Story Eater almost a year ago. Most of the graffiti and paintings depict people who were present facing off against a tall towering creature. Some depict the town of Reverein itself, others on what seems to be people on the moon that hangs in the sky.
Other pieces of art on the wall have no rhyme or reason, but many respect the space of those painted before, a collage of styles and personalities of all those who've lived in the village. Important details were not painted over and many left pieces to be continued by the next artist.
Beat had been doing just that, adding to some art of a bush with differing flowers on it: chamomile, roses, and yellow lilies. If you happen upon him, he may be in the middle of adding a few new pieces. It may be a tree with veins that glow a bright purple, cherry blossoms, or a black cat curling into itself at the roots of the tree.
Regardless of when you catch him in the process, the look on his face is sad, almost pensive or solemn. Nothing like one might expect if you've gotten the chance to meet him.]
💀 iii. dreamboard 402: top-tier pranks
[In an attempt to cheer himself up, Beat decided to participate in pranking a few hapless victims, hoping to get at least a laugh out of it.
If you walk past two posts or a narrow row of trees, you might find yourself slamming your face into a piece of plastic stretched across a distance. It is near invisible except for a perceptive few. Should you get caught you may hear a snicker hiding behind a bush or bench. And should you manage to avoid it, there's a clear grunt of frustration nearby.
It's not hard to find Beat hunched over something in an attempt to hide himself.]

I think so~ He bears a symbol on his chest that looks a bit like a star, so I thought maybe something with that could be nice.

[Beat sets up a little distance away, towards where he had already made a few paintings over the last few months. He places a sketchbook tilted upward for him to follow as he gets to work.]

[So he turns to Beat with a curious look on his face.]

[Beat goes through the basics with Heizou before starting. He outlines his drawing of a black cat, similar to what he has in his sketchbook, curling up by some flowers, before filling the rest in. His painting style may seem messy but it comes off with a bit of a stylized aesthetic when he's done with the first coat.]
So you jus' gotta point it an' press down to start paintin'. An' don't go pointin' it at no one when you's sprayin', aight?

When he finishes that first coat Heizou can't help but applaud a little, obviously very impressed by the whole thing.]
That looks amazing! You really do have a gift, Beat! Are you sure I can't just commission you to do this one for me?
