[Semi-Open] Oh, would you look at that. It's Joshua Day.
Who: FF16s and anyone who has positive CR with Joshua is invited (friends of friends can also drop by!)
Which: Semi-Open Log
Where: Starflower Cafe!
When: Backdated to March 25th
What: Once upon a time, some people looked at a baby and said, "You are Joshua." Today, we celebrate the 29th anniversary of that occasion.
Warnings: None!
It's early evening, and the golden hour sun shines gently through the windows of the Starflower Cafe. There's a modest array of red, white, and black decorations strung from the roof and set upon the tables to catch the flickering flames of lantern centrepieces, but the overall ambience is simple and warm, reminiscent of Rosarian hospitality.
Clive and Jill extended invitations earlier in the week, emphasising that the celebration is a surprise for Joshua. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, whereupon Jill will guide them not into hiding, per se, but at least to places where they can't be spotted through the windows. Meanwhile, Clive will be escorting Joshua to the party under the pretence of treating him to a name day dinner.
As such, guests are also encouraged to surprise some JOY into Mister Phoenix Boy when the brothers arrive.
Once the excitement of the surprise subsides, all guests will receive a softly glowing phoenix feather imbued with healing dreamotion. Joshua is handing them out personally as tokens of gratitude, so come and get yours!
Early mingling will happen over the appetizer buffet, which features potato croquettes, charcuterie boards with a heavy emphasis on cheese, various veggie platters with dips, and small cups of ice cream. Or, guests can sit down and chat over dinner: a roast with all the fixings.
After dinner, everyone will be escorted outside to where a bonfire has been set up. There, guests can enjoy roasting marshmallows, s'mores, and other sweet treats over the fire while watching a fireworks show to end the night.
TL;DR it's a party. So, like, party y'all.
(Clive and Jill will be around, but they'll be busy ensuring everything goes off without a hitch, so they won't be interacting much. Please feel free to assume that introductions have happened & that everyone present has been invited to their wedding, where they will be much more present!)

[That's how he treats the women in his team, at least?]
no subject
[He does finger guns at him, clicking his tongue as he does so.]
Hey, darlin' how's it going?
no subject
[Why, Yato?]
no subject
Oh. Well, in that case you can use it on whoever you like! No need to stick to girls if that's your thing.
[Totally misinterpreting the situation, here.]
no subject
[He doesn't understaaaaaand.]
I thought we were just talking about talking to friends?
no subject
[Or perhaps he doesn't know. Hmmmm.]
Maybe you are a bit young for romance after all.

It refers to whether you prefer girls or guys. Or both! Or neither! Those are options, too.
no subject
Wait... you mean like in the way that Cray likes - liked... Elina, right?
no subject
no subject
[Does... does she know?]
No, there's... no one I like in that way. And even if I did... I don't know. I wouldn't... want to leave them.
[But his time is limited, after all.]
no subject
[Don't be like him, Ryu. That's creepy. Although now he feels a pang of guilt, remembering that eventual Ryu is going to have a showdown for his existence.
Turning to face him properly, he nudges the kid's shoulder.]
...aw, hey. You're not going anywhere, remember? You're gonna pull through this meeting with your other half and come out on top. You can't go disappearing on us, alright? If I'm not allowed to, neither are you.
no subject
Well, you're definitely not allowed to. ... But I want him to be able to live, too.
no subject
no subject
[At least that's what the others have told him. Deis supplied that last bit, but...]
I don't even really know what he looks like.
no subject
[He gives Ryu a once-over, humming to himself.]
Well, considering you're blue haired, maybe he's red? Red oni, blue oni. And your specialty is fire, so perhaps he's more of an ice dragon sort? Though, man. Since he lived a while ago, I hope he's not some ugly old man. That'd suck to have your twin be three or four times your age, wouldn't it?
no subject
... I don't know what an oni is, but maybe? I know the other Endless have weird forms when they're not in their large forms, so I have no idea what he might look like...
no subject
Ah, an oni is an ogre, but it's just a saying, really. You seem pretty normal to me, but I guess that might be because you weren't summoned quite like the others, huh? Either way, I hope if - when - you get to meet him, all goes well for you. I'd hate to lose you as a friend.
no subject
[He still looks confused, but... sure.]
I... hope so too. I just want him to be able to be happy, too. We all deserve to be free.
