[This message comes in some very distinct handwriting. He's actually writing in Japanese but, y'know, magical mechanics. Though it might be recognizable to those who've conversed with Yujin over the journal before, it's also perfectly legible. (C'mon, not all doctors have terrible handwriting.)]

Good afternoon. If I may have a moment of everyone's time, please.

Should we not be acquainted yet, my name is Yujin Mikotoba. Currently, I am working with Dr. Mathis to get a medical clinic up and running. Back home, I am a university professor of forensic science and on rare occasion, I serve as a diplomatic advisor to my government.

I am writing to you today with the intention of discussing the ever increasing criminal activities within Reverein and its neighboring areas. It has come to my attention that there are no true written laws to be found, nor official law enforcement. There is no ruler of any sort here, and as a result, no one who has the final say in conflicts. I fear that before long, we may be opening ourselves up not only to vigilantes, but to those who may take advantage of the lack of structure and authority in order to get away with more nefarious deeds.

However, I am aware this is not a simple discussion by any means. As our community continues to grow, so does the diversity within it. We all hail from different worlds, with different cultures and values. What may be common courtesy to some may be an entirely foreign concept to others. For that reason, I propose that there may be merit in assembling a council of sorts. Not to rule, but rather, to offer perspective from different angles. It may be too early to construct true laws, though that needn't stop us from coming together and building a bit of moral structure. The more feedback and experiences we gather in this council, the easier it will be to construct regulatory guidelines. Then, in due time, perhaps we may gather some volunteers to be certain these guidelines are adhered to for the sake of keeping the peace.

This is only a humble proposal, of course. If you have any thoughts on the matter, or an interest in this hypothetical council, please feel free to respond. I would very much like to hear more opinions. Thank you for your time.

[Greenhouse | OTA]

[It's a brisk day out, a light drizzle of rain pestering anyone who dares to venture outside. Luckily, Yujin Mikotoba is working inside. Inside the greenhouse, that is! The Glowing Dawn flowers, an impressive collection in all, are glowing with a discreet blue light and the rain is tapping against the glass roof in a relaxing manner. All in all, it's not a bad place to be! Yujin is crouching by some of the flowers, checking the leaves for any infestations and taking notes on their growth.

While the greenhouse is just behind the Mikotoba treehouse, it's not exactly private property. Anyone is free to stop by and investigate!]

[Clinic | Closed to Jude]

[Another location where Yujin spends his time is the soon-to-be-clinic! It's still being prepared together with Jude, but they're getting very close now. The place ought to be operational soon enough.

At the moment, Yujin is preparing a bed in one of the patient rooms. After what happened with 76, it's become extra clear to him that the clinic needs to be ready to accept patients as soon as possible, so they can recover in a controlled environment with all the necessities within reach. The room has to be clean and it has to be comfortable.]

[ A light rain isn't enough to dissuade Zelda from going about her day to day tasks, especially since it's a sign that winter is ending and the first early thaw should be just around the corner. Although it's too wet to work in the communal garden, preparing the garden beds for spring planting, it's a fine time to spend shopping in the markets.

Zelda is on her way home from the market this afternoon, carrying a waterproof leather satchel containing her purchases from Wild Harvest and the apothecary, when she notices the light from the greenhouse. Curious, she goes to investigate, unbothered by the fact that it probably belongs to whoever lives in the treehouse nearby. Zelda has grown accustomed to the casual, communal nature of Reverein. What she sees first when she peeks in through the glass is the distinctive blue glow of the aptly named Glowing Dawn and an unfamiliar figure nearby with their back to Zelda.

Someone is managing to grow the Dawn domestically? Hadn't Jude told her that no one had managed such a feat yet? (Granted, that was in December.) Then again, Jude hadn't shared many details about any other dreamwalkers involved with the Dawn, except for a Mr. 76 and an unidentified companion. (Zelda had also declined to ask anything of the sort.)

The princess locates the door to the greenhouse and raps her knuckles on the glass. ]

Excuse me? May I come in?

[ Zelda opens the door and steps inside the greenhouse. She sets her satchel down next to the door so she can push back her hood and shake off a little bit of the rain clinging to her jack. ]

My thanks. [ She offers Yujin a graceful smile. ] Apologies for my intrusion, but I couldn't help noticing those blue flowers you are growing.

So they are the Dawn. [ It's said as much to herself as to Yujin. ] I thought as much when I saw them through the window. But then with the rain on the window obscuring them---

[ Zelda stops herself abruptly, remembering her manners. ]

I don't believe I've had the pleasure of your acquaintance yet. I am Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. [ She places a hand lightly to her chest and inclines her head in a polite bow. ]

[ Zelda stiffens for a moment. This is the reaction she's been worried about ever since she decided to stop hiding her title: someone panicking about being in the presence of royalty.

When she first arrived in Songerein, Zelda fell into habit of omitting her title from her introductions (at Satan's suggestion). With no Hyrule and no Hyrulean citizens, there was no need to broadcast her identity as Hyrule's princess. She could just be Zelda for a little while, free from the burden of her heritage. When the truth came out anyway, it was Satan who reassured Zelda that no one would overreact to her being a princess and treat her any differently than they had before.

So much for that. Zelda makes a mental note to tell Satan "I told you so!" in the journal later on.

Despite her initial reaction, Zelda recovers quickly and tries to offer Yujin a gentle smile. ]

Please, simply 'Zelda' will suffice. My title is of little consequence here. [ And, before he might protest to her informality-- ] Mikotoba, you said? Have you any relation to a Susato Mikotoba?

[ It could be a coincidence that two dreamwalkers share the same surname, but that seems very unlikely. ]

[ Zelda relaxes as well, the tension dropping out of her shoulders. She is grateful that Yujin is going along with the change in subject. ]

I have, yes. We crossed paths at the lakeside not too long ago while she was out gathering flowers.

[ Zelda intentionally omits the part where that meeting took place after dark on a moonless night. If Susato was out without permission, Zelda won't be the one to tell her father. ]

[ Zelda nods. ]

Yes, sir. She is a very kind and considerate young woman. I do look forward to meeting her again in the future.

[ Zelda's words are chosen with care (she doesn't want to accidentally say something to Susato's father that could be construed as negative), but the emotion behind them is genuine. Zelda's first impressions of Susato are of an intelligent and amiable woman with a deep capacity for empathy. The princess is curious about the 'research' Susato mentioned with some trepidation, but decides that asking Susato's father about it might not be prudent. ]

[ Though she specified 'Just Zelda,' Zelda is willing to compromise and accept 'Miss Zelda' over one of the more formal alternatives. She gets the impression that Yujin is normally this courteous with anyone, not just a princess. ]

I have, yes. I believe it has been six months? [ There's a little questioning inflection as she mentally tallies the months. ] I believe the other dreamwalkers I awakened with were the first to arrive here. I do not recall anyone else living in Reverein at that time, other than the fairies.

Not directly. [ Zelda thinks back to her first days in Songerein, trying to remember if she ever received such a directive. Her memories of first awakening in the plaza are muddy from the half-asleep state of dormancy she had been living in for decades while sealed away with Calamity Ganon. It took a few days to fully come back to herself. ] Not that I recall, at least.

We took it upon ourselves to restore the city all the same, but not everything is our doing. There are times, after dream shifts, where the city somehow... restores itself.

[ Zelda has considered asking the fairies for more information about how things work around here, but sometimes it seems like they're just as confused as the dreamwalkers. ]

I must admit that I have not investigated this happening very closely. So many things in this world seem to happen with no impetus whatsoever. The arrivals and departures of other dreamwalkers, for example, always seem to come as a surprise to the fae, as do dreamshifts. They appear to understand what is happening well enough, but I do not believe they control it.
