What: Sora is affected by a Bleeding Heart creature that latches onto his heart. It begins to feed on his loving nature and makes him crave more in order to keep feeding it. Sora becomes love-obsessed! And some extra prompts are inside.
Warnings: Themes of violence, jealousy, obsession and possessiveness.

[a. building a soup cart]

[Who can refuse free soup and helping someone out with building something new? Sora can be found helping with building the newest soup cart for Reverein's greatest upcoming soup seller. He's looking forward to trying out the soup when it's all done. Jiang Yanli has been so kind to him over the network so he's more than happy to help!

Since he's had a few chances at building things with his own two hands now Sora is confident he can do an okay job. He lifts the hammer in his hand and smacks it down on one nail with a satisfying clack. But once he goes for the next nail he misses the nail by just a fraction and knicks his finger!]

Yweoch!

[He yelps and pulls his hand away as quick as he can. As he winces in pain and puts his finger in his mouth to lull the pain away small sparks of annoyed energy seem to crackle around him like tiny firecrackers.]

That smarts... I've gotta get better at this! Who knew using a hammer would be harder than a keyblade sometimes?

[b. communal gardening area & communal fire pit]

[Alternatively, Sora can be found at the communal garden helping to keep everything cleaned up during these down months. It's not exactly warm outside right now but a few things are still growing strong. Sora will hunker down and tend to some plants and notice that small red and heart-shaped flowers might bloom at his fingertips. Must be the time of year?

Or Sora can also be found at the communal fire pit sitting next to the warmth of the roaring fire at the end of an evening. He's got a pack of fresh marshmallows and he's ready to share if someone wants a sweet and toasted treat.]

[c. bleeding hearts: wishing well]

[It's when a particular snap of negative emotion filters through the air that it happens to Sora. One moment he's minding his own business and checking out the wishing well to add a few hopeful dreams to the bottom of it when a sharp feeling pierces his heart. It feels like heat crawling down his throat and it takes a hold of his heart with a squeeze. He gasps and feels his energy suddenly sapped out of him. Weak and breathy Sora tries to inhale as he drops to a knee and grabs onto the edge of the wishing well.]

What's... going on?

[He can feel something sucking away at something deep inside of him. A dark red glow starts to appear around Sora as he tries to breathe. He suddenly feels so empty and like he needs to fill up with ... something.]

Someone... Is anyone there?

[He looks up with a red glow in his eyes. The rush of adrenaline he feels to find someone- anyone- to help make this empty feeling in his chest go away. Fill up his heart... Anyone who might be nearby, if Sora knows them or not, will be looked at like the new light of his life. He'll look at them like they can make him feel full again. And that makes them so, so special.]

[d. bleeding hearts: dream swings]

[Eventually the bleeding heart has taken hold of Sora's heart so fully that he wanders towards the sweet emotions that linger around the dream swings. He wanders through them looking for a way to feed the empty feeling in his chest. To hug someone, to hold someone close, to hear things that make him feel- he'll take anything.]

Hey! There you are! I was looking for you all over the place!

[Is Sora speaking to you? Knowing you or not Sora seems to look at you like he recognizes you. He looks cheerful and friendly as always and yet there is something a little wider to Sora's gaze. Something a little off or strange as he moves towards you.]

I wanted to tell you something.

[ A shiver runs down Susato's spine. The urge to pull away, to just slap him or toss him out of it are palpable, but that would only hurt him in more ways than one. The creature is slow to move, but she can see the red glow intensify at his chest a little more, which hopefully means it's working.

She does pull back, but only so far as to be able to check for herself, and respond to him. ]

... D, Don't say that. You wouldn't leave me, right?

Oh. Susato, I could never ever leave you. You're right, I have to take that back.

[Even as she pulls away though Sora seems to move a step closer. Like he doesn't know what personal space is anymore. All he knows is he has to be near her. To keep feeling her acceptance of him. Don't pull away... Don't.]

I wanna stay with you forever, Susato.

[The energy flares as if reaching out to her. Pulling and pulling her in. He almost pulls her into a tight hug.]

[ Susato doesn't pull away, at least not right away. For a while, Sora will get exactly what he wants as her heart races, just waiting helplessly. She can feel the energy pulling her in as Sora deepens the hug, but she's supposed to be pulling it out.

She feels rather impatient, but she knows this is normal for the creature.

Eventually, as she convinces herself she wants nothing more than to stay with Sora, too, she can see it, emerging with a mighty flap of its wings. A little more, and as if using the red glow of its chest as a trigger, she lifts Sora with a mighty strength he might not have known she had, and tosses him into the air and onto the ground. ]

[ No time to feel bad. No time for doubts.

With the creature exposed, Susato manages to pull out her staff in a flashy and impressive twirl, a staff which she kept who-knows-where. Flames appear like wisps at either end of the staff, ghostly at first, but then become more tanglible, though they don't seem to burn the staff at all.

In a swift motion, she strikes the creature down, watching as it disappears like a heart into Kingdom Hearts. ]

Huh-?!

[One moment he's holding onto her warmth and feeling all of that sweetness fill him up. He loves that feeling and he never wants to let it go! The next he's feeling something pull outside of him. Heavy and painful and like a knife through his chest! There is a flash of red energy and smoke before-

And then...??]

AHHHHH?!

[His body is flying through the air!!! His limbs flailing wildly!!]

[THUMP.

Sora hits the ground with a painful thud! Landing on his back as stars and little chirping birds fill his vision and he just lays there like a dazed starfish.]

What...

[But there's a quiet in his head. His chest doesn't hurt anymore... Is it over?]

What happened? Where...? Ughhh, everything hurts...

[ He had her worried in the first half, not gonna lie--

Susato winces as Sora lands, though she had been responsible for it. After a while, she really felt guilty, continuously doing it to Ryunosuke, and it appears that Sora's situation is no different, even though she's only done it this once. ]

S, Sora? [ She leans in and offers her hand to help him up. ] My apologies, I didn't want to hurt you.

[Sora does sit up with a wince and he rubs the back of his head.]

Huh? Susato?

[Everything is so blurry so it takes him a second to get his bearings straight.]

Why can I see a bunch of stars right now? Ugh, my head.

[ Stars... It's hard to tell whether he means that literally, but she leans in even further, getting down one knee to place her hand on his forehead instead, something she's seen her father do numerous times. ]

Sorry. [ She says it again, less formally this time. She may as well give an explanation. ] A creature had a hold on your heart.

[Sora will feel a little feverish from the events and the red energy. He is dizzy and feels like all his energy is sapped out of him. He's exhausted!

But he looks up looking worried. Genuinely worried.]

A creature? ... I did something really weird, didn't I. I feel like I'm the one who should be saying sorry right now.

[Susato, he's so sorry.]

[ She hesitates, because he's not exactly wrong, but it's not really his fault, so she wouldn't feel right accepting his apology. She lowers her hand, Sora's warmth lingering. ]

Don't worry about that for now. You feel feverish. [ That might pass, considering the circumstances, but she still feels it worth mentioning. ] You... You don't remember anything?

[He's still not sure if he deserves not to worry! He did something strange and even if something was controlling him it was still him that did it. It makes him feel awful.]

Uh... I think I can remember fuzzy bits of it. It's all really muddled up in my head.

[Like a dream in a dream- ugh. That's too deep.]

I remember seeing you and wanting to talk to you. I remember saying that I really like you.

[Which isn't entirely untrue because he likes their friendship!! He just could have said it in a less creepy way!!]

[ He's not... wrong. A bit of blush may creep onto her cheeks, because they feel warmer, but she ignores this embarrassment, shaking her head. ]

...Well, I don't think you were lying.

[ She can tell he wasn't, but at the same time, she certainly hopes not. ]

Besides, I had to toss you, so... we are even now. I think. [ Probably? It feels like they're even. Can we say they're even? ]

[Sora does manage a sheepish laugh as he nods.]

Yeah, okay. I think we can call it even if you tossed me that far. If I ever do anything weird like that again don't hesitate to do it again. Okay?

[He honestly means that. Just toss the heck out of him because he never ever wants to do creepy things to his friends. It's not him. And it's going to take weeks for him to shake off these feelings. Honestly, maybe he should be tossed one more time.]

I'm glad we're friends, Susato. Thanks for helping me.

[ Her smile brightens, but there is a nervousness to it, just under the surface. She certainly isn't chomping at the bit to toss him again, so hopefully he'll feel more like himself with time!

She's relieved. ]

You're very welcome. Do you, um, at least remember what you came out here to do? [ She could at least stick around for a little longer to make sure he's alright? ]

Uhhh. Actually, I have no idea how I got out here.

[He rubs sheepishly at his hair and looks around with a frown. There are probably some people wondering what he might be up to. But he doesn't want to leave without making sure things are okay between them as friends, at least.]

Maybe I was looking to hang out on the swings or something? I don't think I need another nap, though.

[ ...Hmmm. Susato seems to tilt her head, not entirely convinced by the swings, either. Besides, a nap might make him vulnerable to being possessed again, and for all she knows, that's how it happened the first time.

Sooo... she defaults to something simplistic. Simplistic, but a safe bet, she thinks, for a relatively healthy and active boy his age, to the point where she wouldn't feel bad, even if she was wrong. ]

. . . Are you hungry?

Huh?

[The thing about Sora is that he's a very typical teenage boy. And a very typical shounen protagonist too.]

Yeah, I could eat!

[He's always hungry! And it'll probably cure him right up!]

[ ...Yeah, he seemed like the type.

Susato grins. ]

Well, then. Perhaps it is about time I showed you where I work. [ She beams. For once, she looks prideful. ] I don't suppose you have ever visited the Wild Harvest?

Whoa, you work there?! I haven't gotten to see the inside yet! I've heard a lot about it! Let's go!

[Sora smiles and is quick to follow for that!

And with that the two of them will explore the restaurant and have a good meal that helps settle some of the mood Sora's in. He still feels bad but at least this is a step in the right direction.]
