The more Yujin heard, the less of it he understood. Why would someone need to make a living in the afterlife? Why was there money involved? Things like power and politics... Why would they still matter in this place? It was baffling.

"I apologize. I believed a key aspect of Hell was to be punished for the misdeeds of life. Eternal punishment, that is. Is there no, ah, no higher power setting such punishment in motion?"

Because to him, it sounded as if all these sinners were just left to their own devices in such a place and as a result, all which they deemed important in life continued to be a high priority even in death. The ability to obtain power and money equated to success, and success was rather the opposite of eternal punishment, he felt.
