professorbestie: (Britain - Heavy thoughts)

Yujin listened to the story in silence, reacting with no more than the occasional nod or tilt of the head, or even a light twitch of the fingers. He'd faced his share of killers in his lifetime- not through forensic science but through a different profession of his. Upon being exposed, some would show remorse, while others would insist that their actions were justified. Alastor seemed to fall more into the latter category, though the notion that he was never caught was a dreadful one. It just went to show there were more monsters in the world than the records showed.

There was a different problem to consider. If there was something 'wrong' with Alastor- if his wires were still frayed, as he so worded it, what did that mean for his existence here? Would he still unleash those 'urges' on innocent people? Yujin didn't dare ask, for he could very well find himself as Alastor's next target. He'd have to keep a close eye out instead.

"... I see," he said quietly. "Well, it does sound as if you're taking responsibility for your actions, and that is already more than most murderers would do."
