1. Fae Moon Mirror.
[The disappearance of the moon is concerning enough. Alphen can only hope things will get better in Reverein before they get worse. He's really wishing for the best. Trying to lend a hand to those in need is exactly what needs to be done in a situation like this. He begins searching for shards of the mirror but unfortunately his luck isn't very good. His sense of direction isn't that great. Alphen can be found suspiciously on of one of the treetops if you can manage to get up there.]
You can see so much from up here, but I still don't see anything that looks like a mirror shard.
[He can hear some shuffling and moving around the area so he remains alert. Maybe he's not alone after all. ]
How are things with you?
2. Flower Blossom Owls.
[Alphen is used to being around an owl or two but these ones seem a little different from the ones back in his world. They're covered in pink blossoms. They've been friendly so far so Alphen tries to call out to them a few times but it's not working. After some time he figures that calling out to them normally might just be scaring them off instead. So he attempts to lure the owl out.]
I think these owls are hungry. Would you happen to have any more fruit on you? I used up my last one a while ago.
[He speaks to anyone who may be nearby with the owls perched up in peoples flower beds and crops. It'd be better if the owls could find a home with the trees and settle there where they wouldn't get hurt.]
They keep coming back for more food and they're really friendly. I might want to give them a name.
[Do not name the owls.]
3. At the treehouse.
[Alphen's is getting really tired of the moldy laundry piles back at home. His brows furrow until he sighs into a frown. He thought that burning older clothes that can no longer be used might free up space and give him peace of mind.]
I thought I might try helping with some of the chores.
[Maybe by incinerating moldy clothing would help, yeah. He doesn't want to burden Kisara too much with all the cleaning.]
Burning stuff is one way to get things done. Are you any good at cleaning?

Gina
There's another book over there! Do you think you can grab it?
[Having Gina around will surely help. They worked well together last time so he doesn't see why they can't team up again here. ]
I appreciate having you around to help.
no subject
Her arms crossed, she grins confidently in response.]
'Course I can! [She springs forward and snatches the book out of the air!]
Ya don't need to get soft about it. This seemed easy enough, an' it is, so I may as well give it a go! Them books're gonna 'ave to try a lot 'arder to sneak by us.
no subject
[ This isn't such a bad job. They'll be finished everything before they know it, but Alphen still appreciates Gina's help nonetheless. ]
I figured you might be hungry once we're done cleaning. Does eating together after sound good?
no subject
[They're definitely a lot safer to tackle than birds! As she secures one, she looks back towards the shelves as she tries to remember where it goes.
And she lights up at the offer of food!]
Now that sounds like the best idea I've 'eard all day! I ain't never sayin' no to a good meal! Ya thinkin' of goin' for anytin' specific?
[Even being in this world for a few months now and not having to worry about money, she still fully appreciates the value of a free meal!]
no subject
[He sounds so happy. Alphen always enjoys the company of a good friend and he's even happier that he gets to spend more time with Gina. He'd like to know more about her as well.
She's lively and full of spirit.]
I'm not picky about what I eat but I have an appreciation for spicy food. What's your favorite food, Gina?
no subject
Me favorite? Guess I got meself a likin' for fish an' chips. I do like sweets a lot too. I'm not picky either, mind. I'd like to keep givin' new foods a try! [Growing up on the streets, her food options were very limited, so a world without money gives her a whole new world full of options!]
no subject
[ The quality of meals just seems to improve with good company. He'd consider Gina a nice friend by now!! ]
Isn't it more filling to eat with friends than be on your own?
no subject
[Still, she seems a bit unsure about what she's saying. While she's still carrying around the same book.]
...I dunno much about friends meself, but... always nice to 'ave company for a meal.
no subject
[He offers a handshake of greeting to Gina.]
We don't have to act like strangers around each other.
no subject
[She seems a bit insecure about the idea, as she looks down at his offered hand.]
Yeah, I get we ain't strangers an' all. But we still just met not that long ago. But quick, innit? [She just didn't think others would want to be her friend so quickly.]
no subject
[ He nods firmly. ]
Do you think it's a bad idea?
no subject
Just, y'know, didn't think friends 'appened so quickly. But if you're gonna keep on goin' on about it, I reckon I might as well just let it 'appen. Go on, call us mates if ya like.
no subject
We can get to know one another better. I'll tell you more about myself too if you like. Then maybe you can tell me something about yourself.
[ He doesn't mind being this open to speaking! ]
no subject
Well fine, then. Tell me about yerself, Alphen.
no subject
[He's got some kind of knightly presence to him after all gone and said that. ]
I'm still a swordsman so I can use my strength to protect what's important. What about you?
no subject
[Although he does seem fairly... gallant? Diligent? Something like the knights she hears of from stories.]
As for me, I used to be a diver. O' pockets. But I've been trainin' to be a detective instead. Solvin' mysteries an' catchin' bad folks. Stuff o' that sort.
no subject
[ He isn't the only one down here who can fight it seems. ]
You want to become like a detective? I can really respect that. You have a dream you want to achieve. I know you'll get there, Gina.
no subject
[She smiles at his support.]
Thanks. Glad ya think so. Not everyone'd think I'd 'ave a chance as a detective, but I'm gettin' there! An' I'm gonna out-detective that 'Erlock Sholmes one day too!
no subject
As long as you keep striving to be your best you can do anything you want. If I may ask why did you pick a detective?
[ is there a reason why she choose this one in particular? ]
no subject
[She nods along, glad Alphen doesn't approve of such people at least. ...And when it comes to talking about herself, she tugs at her hat a bit. She'll try not to go into a lot of detail, feeling unsure about sharing too much of herself.]
It just seemed like the best fit for me, really. Got taken in by a good one who showed me the ropes. I got a bit of a likin' for solvin' mysteries, an' takin' down all them rotten coves is real appealin' too!
no subject
You had someone look after you? What were they like?
[Alphen can understand what that experience is like. He was taken in by Zephyr and started learning from there. He finds Gina relatable in more ways than he expects. ]
no subject
[So far, he doesn't seem like a bad adult. But he does keep prying! As he asks his question, she folds her arms and looks off to the side.]
Yer full o' questions, aren't ya? 'E was... 'E's an alright guy, 'e is. 'E could really get on yer nerves an' all, but 'e still got all the know-'ow of a top-notch detective.
no subject
[ He nods firmly. ]
There was someone I knew back home who was a hero to everyone. His name is Zephyr. Without him I don't know where I'd be. I think I understand where you're coming from.
no subject
[She says somewhat defensively as she looks away. She feels too vulnerable talking about Gregson, and so she's put up a guard. She's definitely not ready to get emotional in front of a new apparent friend! All the more reason to keep the focus on him.]
...Some kinda big-time 'ero, eh?
no subject
[He leaves it at that. Alphen's just going for idle chatter anyway. Being around Gina and just getting to know her better is enough. ]
Yeah, that's right. Zephyr's the one who inspired everyone into becoming better people. He fought so that we would know what true freedom is like. I want to try being a leader like he was.
Do you think I can do it?
