I'm not sure if anything ever lived here...there's no sign of any furnishing or living in. Perhaps some of the creatures took residence, but if something did used to live in these houses, it was a long time ago.

[Which is weird because it sounded like this world hasn't existed for all that long. Given this is some kind of dream world, could these trees just naturally be forming tree houses...? That sounds even more absurd.]
