[07] move along, move along just to make it through
Who: Susato and anyone
Which: Open catch-all log for September + network option
Where: The Wild Harvest garden, but open to other locations.
What: Yujin Mikotoba has left Songerein.
Warnings: Will add if needed.
🌸 A. an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Sender: Susato Mikotoba
To: Everyone
Subject: Reverein's clinic
[ It's short, and to the point. Susato doesn't use the journal often to broadcast like this, but now that she is, she feels it prudent to be as direct as possible. ]
To whom it may concern:
For the past couple weeks, the Reverein communal clinic has been without a proper doctor to run it. If you are in need of aid, please be patient, as the volunteers are doing the very best they can.
If you have medical experience and would like to help, please let me know. Thank you.
Regards,
Susato Mikotoba
🌸 B. move along, move along, like i know you do.
[ Within the garden of the Wild Harvest, among the faint hissing of snakes and the lull of the waterfalls, Susato closes her journal and tucks away her pen. She takes a deep breath as she moves to stand from her favorite bench, and she walks with purpose into an area littered with stars that look like stepping stones upon the ground.
For a moment, she stops and simply stares. There it is. A blank star, waiting for a name. Perhaps it appeared some time ago. Perhaps she simply ignored it, but after digesting recent events, she has no time to wallow in the remaining stages of grief. He's not even dead, but she wonders if that doesn't make things worse.
Either way, she doesn't even need a pen. She slowly bends down, spending another moment feeling the rough surface of the starfish with her hand before she commits with her pointer finger.
The strokes appear in a glow, and the end result looks engraved. ]
御琴羽 悠仁

[ Susato protests, that outburst coming automatically in Kazuma's defense. ]
We have been through the best and the worst of what this world has to offer, I assure you. We do not need the paopu to tell us how intertwined our destinies are... but we will enjoy one together regardless, at our own leisure and no one else's.
Every day, if we so please!

He offers a small smile, his tone taking on a softer voice.]
Ah, Susato-chan... I'm sorry. You must love him a lot.

[ Oops. That may have come off more strongly than she intended, though she will stand by those feelings regardless. She does clear her throat, however, shrinking slightly in turn. Somehow she's still holding that fried rice, and shockingly, it hasn't spilled any.
She takes a breath, and reels in those emotions. ]
For as long as I can remember.

Wh, What about you?

He wants to make the mood lighthearted once more, but also it's not hard for Sanji to be... Sanji.]
I don't have a girlfriend, but I'm a lover to all ladies. Whatever they want, they only need to ask this love cook~~ I live to serve...!
no subject
Did you become a cook solely to win the hearts of women?
no subject
While I love each and every lady, I didn't become a cook for them. [...] I always wanted to cook, since I was young. Just wanted to make something delicious with my own hands and have others enjoy it.
no subject
I see... Then, what was your first ever dish? Did it come easily to you?
no subject
You're eating it, Susato-chan. [He says that softly.] I consider it the first successful dish I made... and I had a lot of training from a shit--grumpy old man. Of course, the ingredients and spices aren't 100% the same as back home, but it's close.
no subject
Ah. I had no idea you had fallen back to your roots.
...I'm sure he would be proud, even if he is grumpy.
no subject
[He's been getting the urge to make his nakama's favorite food lately. It feels like it's been a while since he's done that.]
Heh, I hope the old man is. Although, he wouldn't admit it even if he was. We just had that sort of relationship.
[Sanji remains quiet for a moment, before noticing that she's mostly eaten the fried rice, causing him to smile brightly at her.] Was the food good?
no subject
It was delicious.
[ It would be rude of her not to wash it before giving the container back to him, though. She replaces the lid, placing her hand atop it gingerly, satisfied. ]
...Someone I know once told me, actually, that... where he is from, it is customary to bring food to someone as a form of comfort, when something unfortunate has happened.
no subject
Ah, Susato-chan... has something happened to you?
[Maybe he's mistaken her words and she's just speaking generally, but Sanji wants to make sure. He figures it's better to ask than not, especially for a lady friend!! She doesn't look hurt or anything, but that's only the surface!]
no subject
I've lost someone important to me. [ Though she is quick to add, almost too defensively: ] He hasn't died, but it is a loss all the same.
...My father.
no subject
I'm sorry. Never gets easier being separated, even if you know you'll see them again.
[Plus, he doubts that she had the chance to say good-bye to him.]
no subject
Well, when I do see him, I'm going to give him an earful.
[ ......She pauses. ]
But... thank you. You may not have known, but this was just what I needed.
no subject
I'm glad that I was able to help. Want me to swing by some time and make you more food? I'll bring your favorite.
🎀
She laughs. ]
You are welcome anytime you'd like.
