Who: Venti & Friends Which: Closed log with starters inside. Where: Reverein. What: A catch all log for things with Venti for the month of September. Warnings: Tba. Most likely alcohol use.
[Venti also has a small pack but it appears he packs extremely light. Almost like he barely has anything with him. What will he do if they need to camp? Live in a tree and eat berries and nuts? Yes, actually.]
Off we go, then.
[He can't help but be charmed by Bennett's boyish enthusiasms. He truly should be a good leader in the Adventurer's Guild. If it wasn't for that pesky thing he calls his Bad Luck or whatever...]
What shall we talk about while we walk, Bennett? Perhaps we could exchange more stories?
[He hums thoughtfully as he decides which one to tell.]
Have you heard many stories about the first pyro archon, Murata?
[As Bennett is blessed with the use of pyro he wonders if the boy has heard many stories of those old days. Venti will of course keep his details rather... skewed... as needed. But he doesn't mind sharing a tale or two of the old archon. From a bard's perspective, of course.
As they walk along the wilds will come into view as well. The foliage and wildflowers growing thicker as they make their way towards the outskirts.]
It's not often that Natlan's stories reach places like Mondstadt. Even rarer still that these old stories come up at all. But long ago, Natlan's Murata was a strong and powerful archon. And perhaps a bit too fireheaded too.
[He giggles.]
There's stories of her being able to take down armies of hilichurls with one swipe of her fire. Or that she could create a volcano by only taking a single step.
Yeah, I think so. [He doesn't sound particularly down about himself when he says that, though. If anything, it's the opposite.]
But I don't think that's a bad thing. I could be the Luck Archon, taking all my people's bad luck and poor karma just so they can live happy and prosperous lives without worry!
Your optimism knows no boundaries. I can't help but feel quite the charge of inspiration when I hear that.
[As they leave the city and enter the wilds the change of scenery is almost instant. The open fields and stretches of wildflowers and strange growing forests. Lush and thick and uninhabited for miles and miles. They'll have to pick a direction to explore and Venti assumes away from the newly formed ocean and beach to uncharted zones.]
How about we hope that it's only the gentle and watchful eye of the anemo archon that we need today, hm? Which way should we go, captain?
Heheh... Well, there's no point in being gloomy all the time. I'm doing what I love, and what I love is being an adventurer!
[He smiles a big smile. He felt down about his luck at times, and hated causing problems for other people because of it, but... He truly loved being an adventurer with every fiber of his soul.]
Even if I have a bad day... There's always tomorrow, right?
[As they come upon the area that signifies the start of their journey, Bennett looks upon it with great marvel. This world was just a dream ultimately, but that didn't make it any less impressive. In fact, maybe that made it all the more impressive to Bennett, that a world like this could be born from so many people's dreams and be so incredible to look at. And as the leader, it was up to him to decide where to go from here.
It was an almost daunting task. It was easy to lead a team when your team consists of just yourself...]
Hmm... My adventurer's intuition tells me to go... this way!
[He eagerly heads deeper into the thick forests. better keep up, Venti!]
[He admires the boy for his words. A true child of Mondstadt always trying to make the best of things despite any sort of hardships. It's a shame that bad luck seems to (supposedly) follow Bennett. Perhaps one day he'll find a way to break free from that.]
Ehe, off we go!
[A good choice for them to go! Venti has marvelled at the beauty of this world so many times already. The sparkling brush of the wildflowers, the glowing trees, the mysterious wilds. It's beautiful and unknown here and that's half the fun of being on an adventure.
As they continue into the thick woods they might notice that it seems brighter than usual despite them having walked underneath the full branches. Like the dream has turned the saturation up to ten for now.]
Have you noticed that, Bennett? Everything here seems to be very colourful.
[Bennett marvels at the sight of the landscape they reach. Bennett may be an adventurer, but he has seen little of the world beyond his little country.]
It's amazing! We don't have sights like this back in Mondstadt, that's for sure!
[Sorry, Venti. He doesn't mean anything bad by it, he loves Mondstadt.]
I hear Sumeru's lush and colorful like this. Do you think that's true, Venti? You seem to know a lot about the world outside Mondstadt!
[No offence taken. Mondstadt is a very brightly lit open field with some mountains. It's beautiful in its simplicity!]
It's truly a sight to behold!
[He hums and reaches down to pluck a wildflower up.]
I've heard many stories from Sumeru. From all over Teyvat, actually! But Sumeru has some of the most beautiful stories of all. Stories of giant trees looming over entire cities, glowing mushrooms at every step and forests that grow as far as the eye can see. One could spend their whole life studying the plants there and never be finished!

[Bennett keeps pace with Venti as they proceed to their destination, a spring in his step as he brims with energy and vigor.]
Why don't you share a story this time? Since you're a bard, you must have tons of them, right?

[Bennett repeats the name slowly back to Venti, largely unfamiliar with it.]
That's... Natlan's archon, right...? [He shakes his head quickly in Venti's direction.]
I haven't heard much of anything at all about Natlan, honestly.

[Venti nods and continues,]

[That almost sounds too impossible to believe. But Bennett believes it anyway. Why would Venti lie after all?]
That's incredible... If I was the archon, I think I'd take a single step and fall into the volcano instead...
no subject
Ehe, don't assume that, Bennett. If that were the case, do you really think your bad luck would follow you into godhood?
[Venti still thinks this bad luck thing is fake...]
