A.) Hug it Out

[ Yasusada was roaming around, trying to memorize the layout of this new place he was brought to. He was stuck between heading further into town or rushing off to explor into the colorful looking forest nearby. A thoughtful look on his face as he debated, one that apparently looked far too serious for a certain fae creature's liking. Within seconds he was hit with such a lightning quick attack of magic and suddenly he just...

wanted to hug someone. Anyone. Everyone?? He just wanted to hug someone so badly!

Chasing people down around town, sneaking up behind them while they're distracted, no one in this place was safe from this hug samurai... ]


B.) Cat-bee Honey Harvest

Wait. Wait, you mean to tell me, that these adorable fuzzy guys make honey?!

[ Yasusada's eyes were practically sparkling with excitement. Forget helping with the mead making, he just wanted to check out these crazy purring lil guys... aaaaand maybe try a little bit of their honey. ]

Do you think they have names? We definitely need to give them names.

[ A few of the Cat-bee's were already buzzing around him. It would make sense, since he was carrying around a bag of little candies he managed to barter from a nearby shop. ]

How cute... I think they like me!


C.) Apple Picking

[ Apple picking seemed like such a harmless job to pick up. It'd be so easy to climb right up into the tree and just start harvesting all the apples in sight, especially with a sword right? Not only that, but they said that anyone picking apples could keep any of the apples they picked too? Nature's candy was still something delicious and sweet and a dream version of sweet had to be even better, so Yasusada definitely wasn't going to miss out on this! ]

I heard we get to keep a bunch of the apples we pick. Isn't that cool?

[ Yasusada looked back to the person nearest to him with a big smile on his face. When it came to sweets, he was more than happy to do what he could to get them. He let out a cheerful little hum with a basket in his arms. ]

Hey, with four hands, it'll go a lot faster than with two, don't you think so? How about we see how many apples we can collect!

[ Though, collecting apples doesn't have to be such a calm activity, right? Whos to say there can't be a little more fun to it. With the basket in hand, Yasusada flashed a playful look to the nearest person. ]

I bet I can collect more apples than you can. Buuuut I'll understand if you want to quit now.

iii.)

[ After finally successfully grabbing a few apples, he's tired himself out a bit and decided it was the perfect time to take a little rest with his delicious reward. He was leaning against one of the trees, taking a few bites out of one his apples. ]

These taste even better than I was expecting hehe~

[ What he didn't realize was that he was already starting to float a little off the ground. ]

Cat-Bee Harvest

[Toge has helped out with the cat-bees before, and he loves the little guys. They're soft, buzzy, cats that could fly, and make honey... all very good qualities for Toge. And he's fairly good with animals, so he's able to pry some honey from them without getting too badly clawed or stung.]

[He sees someone getting absolutely starry-eyed around the kitties, and really Toge can't blame him. They're super cute, and their honey is tasty. He chuckles softly under his breath at the sight.]

Salmon, salmon.

[They definitely look happy around this guy! They probably do like him!]

Salmon Salmon?? Is that their names?

[ maybe they're beasts that enjoy food names! His eyes twinkle with excitement as he reaches out for one of the nearby cat bee's flying. ]

Dango! And maybe Onigiri!

[fishflakes]

[That's... not what he means, but it's not like he could exactly clarify on that. Toge just blinks at the new guy, looking at him going to the other cat-bees.]

[...Maybe he could have some fun with this.]

[He goes over to one of the other cat-bees, reaching out to let it sniff his hand before he scritches at its head.]

Tuna mayo.

[ He stands on his toes to reach out to the cat-bee as well. ]

Hello Tuna mayo!— Oh! What about this one? What's his name?

[ he Jumps up a few times, not realizing that the Cat-bees were following him thanks to the sweet smells. ]

[fishflakes]

[Oh this is funny. He's kind of glad his lower half of his face is covered, cause it hides his grin pretty well.]

[Looking up at the mentioned cat-bee, Toge hums a bit before replying.]

Tuna.

Tuna???

[ Okay, something seems fishy here AND THAT WASN'T A PUN. ]

I'm starting to wonder if you're not just really hungry right now.

[fishflakes]

[Toge just blinks, staring back at Yasusada for a moment before shrugging.]

Fish flakes.

[hairpinings]

Do they even sell fish flakes here?

[ he frowns thoughtfully as he holds a finger to his lips as he ponders this. ]

Sounds like you're really in the mood for fish though. I don't think you'll find any over here by these cuties though.

[fishflakes]

Fish flakes.

[He says it with a shake of his head; no, there's definitely no fish flakes here. Or fish, really. Instead, what he does is motion to the jars of honey nearby.]

Salted cod roe.

[hairpinings]

[ Okay. Something was up. But he couldn't click into pieces what exactly was up? He was clearly pointing to a jar of honey! That had nothing to do with fish at all! Was he just hungry? No, it didn't seem like he was hungry... ]

Salted cod roe...

[Toge doesn't say anything more than that, choosing instead to just stare at Yasusada. Come on, bro, you can do it..!]

[ The other boy was just staring at him like whatever he wanted to say was the most obvious thing in the world. It made him start wondering what the heck he could possibly be missing. He kept talking about salmons and tuna and... ]

Can you only talk in fish?

[fishflakes]

[Toge blinks at the other guy for a few seconds, and then.... smiles under his collar. He holds up a thumbs up.]

Salmon, salmon.

[That's right! Well, it's less "talk in fish" and more "talk in rice ball ingredients", but whatever, close enough. He takes a moment to quickly pull out his journal and write down a couple sentences before showing it to the other to read.]

It was funny while it lasted, but that's the basics of it. I can understand you just fine though.

[ Was he going to have to start talking in fish too?? Should he start shouting out Salmon Salmon too and somehow communicate with— oh! He pulled out his journal. He squinted his eyes a little as he read his message and it looked like a wave of relief washed over him. ]

Man, and here I thought you were just incredibly hungry. I was going to suggest you go grab lunch or something!

[fishflakes]

Mentaiko.

[He says the word with a look of amusement under his collar. He knows it's not the first time someone was confused with his way of speaking, and it won't be the last.]

[He takes a moment to write another line down, before showing it to the guy.]

Also for the record I have no idea what any of their names are.

And what about you? Surely your name isn't Salmon roe or something, right?

[ Now that he kind of gets the gist of this guy, he can't help but tease a tiny bit. ]

Fish flakes.

[He says it with a shake of his head. Then, a change from the onigiri filling vocabulary, he speaks carefully.]

Toge Inumaki.

[If he's careful, he can say names without triggering his Cursed Speech.]

Toge Inumaki... hehe I like it!

[ He gives him a little grin and tries to straighten out his look a little. Look, first impressions are important and he wants to look cool... you know despite his embarrassing act earlier. ]

I'm Yamatonokami Yasusada!

[Toge can't help but give him a bit of a look. Really trying to look cool, huh..? Well, it's not like Toge can comment on it even if he wanted to. Instead, after a few seconds of staring, he nods.]

Yasuda.

[He says it carefully, and then nods right after. He'll remember the name.]

Tuna mayo.

Well, now that we've become fish friends, you can help me with these lil buzzy guys! Do you know much about them? How do we get honey from them anyway?

[fishflakes]

[Toge hums a bit, nodding after a moment. He beckons Yasuda over with a hand, writing some more words in his journal before showingit to him.]

They're cats, but also like bees, so they've gotta have a hive nearby right?

[hairpinings]

Maybe if we start buzzing like them, they'll show us where the hive is!

[ Bzzzz! Yasusada starts making a buzzing noise, moving around in a circle. It seems to make some of the catbees follow him, but only because he had some sweets on him in the first place. ]

[fishflakes]

[Toge just watches the display with a confused look; even with half his face covered, the bewildered look is plain as ever.]

...ikura, mentaiko.

[His words might be unfamiliar, but his inflection is clearly one of mild expletive. Wtf, bro?]

[Still, he looks up and around. Bees made hives in trees, right? Hmm... maybe there's something in the trees?]

[hairpinings]

[ . . . !? ]

They just keep following me! Do I really smell that good?

[fishflakes]

Mentaiko.

[They probably just like the way Yasusada smells... though it's not like Toge can really say that right now. But while Yasusada buzzes around, something up in one of the nearby trees catches Toge's eye. He turns and waves to Yasusada.]

Tuna, tuna!

[And once he gets Yasusada's attention, he will point up at the tree, where high in the boughs there is a small hollow. And within, what looks to be some glistening honey.]
