Who: Hans Westergaard and open
Which: Interactive dream
What: It's King Hans of Arendelle, everything is totally fine with no murder involved.
Warnings: Discussions of murder prob
[There's a celebratory feeling in the castle, with food and drinks being served to everyone that's decided to attend the celebration. Oh, you haven't heard? Apparently, the new king saved the kingdom by slaying an ice queen, it's just too bad his fiancé froze to death-- but everything is in good hands, right? The people seem to be relieved, especially as they laugh and drink throughout the night.
For whatever reason, maybe as if to greet his new subjects, Hans is making his rounds around the party, dressed mostly the same, except for a crown on his head. Eventually, he'll come across your character and--]
I'm the newly crowned King Hans of Arendelle.
[He smiles almost politely, but there's definitely something off about this whole situation, even if you don't know him. It probably doesn't help that the music that's playing sounds just slightly off.]
I wish to express my gratitude that you decided to come here. That snowstorm was awful, wasn't it? Please, make yourself comfortable.

And as she ever has before, she settles hand atop the pommel of her sword where she feels most comfortable and most secure as she listens intently.
Queen Elsa is very likely the queen he's made mention of in this place. The queen he saw the end to. The queen whose crown he truly wears. She gets it either way. Forgiveness is a strong word to offer to people like her and Hans who've perhaps done or wanted to do the things they have. In a way, she envies him. Because he can define his wants and needs, even the ones that are poor. She can't claim the same.]
In a way, we are all fools.
[She doubts she'll ever say as much again. If anyone dared to call her one to her face, she'd be livid. But it's true, isn't it.]
Foolish minds. Foolish hearts. Perhaps that is what being human is. It takes an extraordinary strength to be accepting of people like you and me. For those who stay at our sides, we ought not to grow complacent. Judgement may be an easier thing to endure than loneliness.

[Of course, that doesn't always work and sometimes it's too much trouble, but he's not sure how he'd feel if he started losing some of the close bonds he's established here. Maybe it's what he deserves.]
I'm not entirely sure it's just luck that people haven't been too critical in their view of me once they find out the truth... but it's quite true that loneliness is possibly the worst feeling out there.
[His eyes garner a faraway off look as a few memories pass by, but he shakes his head and smiles at Beatrix once more.] We've avoided that fate here, hopefully.

But she'd agree that there's just something somewhat crippling about loneliness. It's not a feeling she'd want to put on anyone else. She simply didn't realise how strongly it had gripped her until she came to this world and waged a personal war against the notion of emotional closeness with others. She chooses not to address his statement directly.
No. She doesn't feel lonely here, but she doesn't have the courage to say it.]
I assume that to be the case, yes. I would be surprised if others were not somehow drawn in by your presence. You have always struck me as an intriguing man, with or without the deeper discoveries of your person. If you caught my eye, then it would be no difficult task for others to experience the same.

[Hans feels that it'd be insulting to insinuate such a thing about her. They've come quite a ways and honestly, he turns away from the idea of being distasteful towards her. Maybe that just speaks of her own bearing on the people she meets. He knows he's not the only one.]
But don't discount your own presence. People are often curious about those that display a cold countenance... or maybe they want to speak with someone that has an eyepatch over her eye. Adds to the mystery, I believe.
[Is he teasing her a little? Maybe, but he waves a hand.]
I don't wish to keep you much longer here. You do need your sleep and I've been too much of a distraction this time.

So it would seem. Some like the things they ought to stay away from.
[And she simply can't stop that from happening. When he continues, she gives one more look around before settling her attention onto him.]
Will you be all right on your own?

[He doesn't elaborate, but Hans thinks about a specific friend he has here that despite knowing everything he's done, only seems to cling closer to him. He really doesn't know understand (well besides having an idea that his past is pretty terrible), but that's not an issue he plans on bringing up right now. It's more of something between them.]
Yes, I promise I'll be fine. I'll send a note through these journals once I awaken if it will assuage your worry.

For some moments, she toys with the idea of saying she's not worried. That she never was. But that's a bit untrue and her actions state otherwise. She ought to respect him more than to simply lie to his face. So instead, she shakes her head.]
Not necessary. I believe you. Although perhaps in the coming days, we ought to find something to fill your time with. Myself as well. I could use something to fill in my time. Something other than patrolling.
[Perhaps a venture to the winery is in order.]
We can think on it and reconvene at a later time, Your Highness. Until then, do try not to hide yourself from your adoring public if you can help it.
