[Fortunately for Shirou, Nuadha doesn't have much in the way of possessions, so at least he won't be taking up a ton of room in the house? It pretty much all just fits in a couple of bags, which he's carrying with him right now.]
No, I have no complaints at the moment. I won't require much space, but I will request that you leave my things alone unless I instruct you otherwise. Likewise, I won't meddle in your business either.
Don't worry. If you tell me not to mess with your things I won't. It's not like I'm going to go poking my nose into your business. There's some things I'd rather not talk about too.
[ Shirou instinctively holds his arm and it's covered with red bandages. ]
[By way of an answer, Nuadha lifts his own arm just enough to let the sleeve fall away to reveal the metal prosthetic. He's not about to pry into the reason behind those bandages unless Shirou volunteers something about them.]
It should work well enough. But be warned: I don't intend to go easy on you where magic is concerned. If you want to learn, it will be hard work. Are you still willing to go through with it?
That's fine with me. I'm already used to seeing death because of magic.
When you practice magic there's always a possibility that you might die. So to become a magus is to accept your death. There's no way around it and I've taken a lot of risks before.
[If only Shirou knew he was talking to a man who is quite literally a dead soul in a walking corpse...]
You're surprisingly calm about that. Good. It will make things easier. Hesitation is one of the greatest hindrances when it comes to properly utilizing one's abilities.
[At least they agree on one thing right off the bat... it's a start.]
I've had lots of training and I take it seriously so staying calm is the first step. Clearing your mind of any distractions helps focus and concentration.
It's the same as when you fire a shot in archery. A focused mind improves your aim.
[ It's weird that he's making that analogy but Shirou practices archery too. ]
[Nuadha just nods in silent approval. Perhaps this won't be as difficult as he'd been fearing after all-- the boy seems to have the right mindset, if nothing else.]
You've taken the training to heart. A good first step... we'll proceed from there.
[A beat.]
If only the same held true when it came to more domestic matters.
[Local former prince still can't do his own laundry, news at 11.]
I don't plan on making any sort of significant mess, but I appreciate it. My skills in that area are... rather lacking.
[It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but even he knows it's the truth. When he lived in the palace, he had servants to handle that sort of thing for him, and ever since being revived, Baldr has always taken care of all of that. It's not his fault he never really had a reason to learn, okay.]
It'd help me a great deal too if you wouldn't make too much mess. Well, I don't mind if you leave things around every once in a while because I do that too. Let's just try to keep things reasonable.
[Respecting each other's space and keeping things tidy only makes sense. ]
Hm, I don't have a lot of hobbies asides from cooking but you already knew that. I'll let you know if I need anything else. We should be fine like this. I don't think I'll mind it much.
[Nuadha can keep his space.]
I tend to eat a lot so I'll prepare heavier meals for us.
[It's more automatic than anything else. He knows he actually needs to eat here in Reverein, yes, but it's really just rote habit rather than out of true enjoyment of the food. A dead man shouldn't require that sort of thing, after all.]
Fix whatever you like and I'll eat it without complaint.

We might be able to manage like this.

[He lifts his bag a bit to show what he means by that.]
All I need is a place to sleep and room enough for my belongings. You're free to keep the rest of the house for yourself if that's what you'd prefer.
