[OPEN] a catch all
Who: Kisara and anyone!
Which: Open Log
Where: Around town
What: A catch-all for Kisara, event prompts and extras
Warnings: E for Everyone, to be changed as needed but pretty mild tbh
( I. hot pot - serenading the piggies )
[Ever in search for new ingredients and recipes to make - carrying on Shionne's legacy while she's gone, at least - Kisara had jumped on the truffle challenge. She's not shy of any danger, and experience at the ranch back home has her well prepared for a bit of pig wrangling! ...So she thought. Unfortunately partway in her partner in swine decides he's happier napping in the muck, so now she's on the edge of the path trying to coax him back.]
Come on, don't you want to find those tasty truffles?
[...Her pleas are left unacknowledged, unfortunately, so after a painful silence she sighs and starts humming some old kid's song from her childhood. Maybe it'll wake him up to play the way it did for her years ago.]
( II. dragon-sitting )
[Taking care of little kids? Sign Kisara the heck up. Even if said kids are actually baby dragons, that's fine. It adds a second layer of challenge to the task. She's at the dragon nursery, coaxing bite-sized morsels into the mouth of an especially precocious little dragonling. She's even trying to experiment with a bit of wind-based dreamotion to try and make it fly into the baby's mouth, which is… admittedly messy, but both she and the baby seem to be enjoying it.]
What's this? It's a zeugle, flying away! Best catch it before it escapes…
( wildcard: wishing well )
[Kisara is hanging out at the wishing well one unremarkable day when the skies are clear, leaning against the edge, rolling one of the baubles idly back and forth between her hands. She looks deep in thought, indecisive, a little sad. Maybe check in on her?
Alternatively, should you cross her path afterwards, one can find Kisara walking home from the wishing well area, carrying a small black cat in her arms and, by all appearances, trying hard not to cry.]

[Happy tears, sad tears, she's feeling conflicted at the very least. But yes, mostly happy. It's so good to see a familiar face, one that strikes a different chord than the friends she lives with now.]

I apologise for intruding, if you feel the moment hasn't ended. My name is Susato Mikotoba, and I was simply passing by.

[It's a bad idea for someone to be left alone in their misery, she knows that much. She'd witnessed the worst it could become with Shionne back home, and here, things can get awfully dark sometimes, what with nightmares manifesting as real if one isn't careful. She's not always mindful of her own feelings, but she does try.]
I'm Kisara, it's nice to meet you.

[ A polite smile blooms on Susato's face. Perhaps her company is not necessarily what Kisara was hoping for, but hopefully she's right and Susato can help anyway. ]
Um... I can walk you home, if you'd like.
Or, if you're not busy, we could take a stroll to the market... If she needs some toys and treats.
no subject
That's a good thought, actually. I don't really have much on hand right now, and I'd like her to be happy with me. You don't mind?
[They'd passed on the street, so she doesn't want to inconvenience the girl and halt whatever she'd been doing before they met.]
no subject
Of course not, I'd be happy to come along. I just need to make a quick stop to drop things off.
...Have you ever been to the Wild Harvest?
no subject
sorry for the delay ;;
It is a good habit to have. Where I am from, girls are taught early, and it is expected of them.
I have been cooking for my family and loved ones for as long as I can remember. It's quite a different experience, cooking for patrons.
no rush at all!
I didn't know you worked there. I'll have to remember to say hello next time I come in.
no subject
Oh, yes, please do!
Although... When we get there, it would probably be best to wait with her in the main dining area. We have quite a few animals running about in the garden, and I don't wish to scare her. [ If Zareh scares easily... ]

[She scratches the cat beneath the chin, just grateful to have time with her. It matters little whether that be in or outside of the restaurant.]
no subject
Well, I will leave it up to you. I won't be long.
[ After some chit chat, they find themselves at the Harvest, and Susato leads the way inside. She quickly excuses herself to put away everything, leaving Kisara and Zareh free to wander the restaurant and the garden.
When Susato returns to look for Kisara, she has what looks like a stick in her hand with an attached string, and a rather vibrant fake bird at the end of it. ]
no subject
When Susato arrives with the toy, Kisara tilts her head curiously and watches Zareh, who is drawn almost immediately to the colour when she notices it, eyes going wide.]
no subject
I had forgotten. We have a couple strays that sometimes visit... I think they followed Mr 76 back from the Wildlands a month or two ago.
So we have a few toys lying around for them.
[ Not too many. But Kisara is free to keep at least this one, while they search for more. She'll offer the stick to Kisara, hopefully before Zareh can act. ]
no subject
[Zareh makes a swat at it during the pass from one to the other, and Kisara brightens at once, moving it around so the cat can chase it properly.]
It's been so long since I got to see her play...
no subject
If I may ask... What gave you the idea to wish for her?
no subject
[Zareh is scooped back up, easier to carry her than lead her about, though she keeps wiggling the wand for the cat with her free hand, cradling Zareh to her shoulder with the other.]
She belonged to him, so I suppose I was thinking about him, and my thoughts shifted to her when I made the wish. A happy accident.
no subject
I see. She must have been very attached to him.
...I've always wondered how many baubles it would take for such a wish, but I'm certain it wouldn't be the same.
[ Wishing for someone that way.
......
Absentmindedly, she looks towards Zareh in Kisara's arms and finds herself wondering if she is the same as Kisara remembers her. ]
no subject
[She scratches the cat affectionately under the chin.]
And I like being able to take care of her, for his sake.
no subject
What is he like? Your brother... Will you see him again?
no subject
[That last question is a difficult one, so she focuses on the rest, allowing her words to speak for themselves.]
He was a kind person. He always wanted to help people, make things better... he had his eyes on the future, first and foremost. No one dreamed bigger than Migal.
no subject
[ She repeats the name, as if to commit it to memory. She gets a warm, fuzzy feeling when she speaks about him. ]
I see. [ To be honest, they... her, and her friends, also had eyes on the future. A brighter Japan, a better Japan, to match the land of the rising sun it is. She doesn't want to shift the topic so suddenly, though. ] What dreams did he have, if I may ask?

[Less so now, but it wasn't that long ago...]
Alphen and Dohalim are still here, but Shionne, Law, and Rinwell as well- we all came from the same place.
