[OPEN] a catch all
Who: Kisara and anyone!
Which: Open Log
Where: Around town
What: A catch-all for Kisara, event prompts and extras
Warnings: E for Everyone, to be changed as needed but pretty mild tbh
( I. hot pot - serenading the piggies )
[Ever in search for new ingredients and recipes to make - carrying on Shionne's legacy while she's gone, at least - Kisara had jumped on the truffle challenge. She's not shy of any danger, and experience at the ranch back home has her well prepared for a bit of pig wrangling! ...So she thought. Unfortunately partway in her partner in swine decides he's happier napping in the muck, so now she's on the edge of the path trying to coax him back.]
Come on, don't you want to find those tasty truffles?
[...Her pleas are left unacknowledged, unfortunately, so after a painful silence she sighs and starts humming some old kid's song from her childhood. Maybe it'll wake him up to play the way it did for her years ago.]
( II. dragon-sitting )
[Taking care of little kids? Sign Kisara the heck up. Even if said kids are actually baby dragons, that's fine. It adds a second layer of challenge to the task. She's at the dragon nursery, coaxing bite-sized morsels into the mouth of an especially precocious little dragonling. She's even trying to experiment with a bit of wind-based dreamotion to try and make it fly into the baby's mouth, which is… admittedly messy, but both she and the baby seem to be enjoying it.]
What's this? It's a zeugle, flying away! Best catch it before it escapes…
( wildcard: wishing well )
[Kisara is hanging out at the wishing well one unremarkable day when the skies are clear, leaning against the edge, rolling one of the baubles idly back and forth between her hands. She looks deep in thought, indecisive, a little sad. Maybe check in on her?
Alternatively, should you cross her path afterwards, one can find Kisara walking home from the wishing well area, carrying a small black cat in her arms and, by all appearances, trying hard not to cry.]

wishing well
She gives a polite smile regardless as she passes the other woman, though it falters pretty quickly when the gesture isn't returned. Certainly not a terrible crime in and of itself, but... Susato can sense avoidance. Tears...?
No. Surely she just imagined that. But she'll still turn, catching the back of Kisara's head. ]
Oh, your cat. [ She calls out, making sure her voice is heard. ] He's adorable...
no subject
Thank you. Her name is Zareh.
[The cat eyes her with a calm but wary expression, as cats often do.]
no subject
I...
[ Is there even any point in making small talk? Maybe it would help her in the end, but it's just not in Susato's nature to beat around the bush. ]
Are you alright?
no subject
[Her smile falters, recognizing that perhaps she hadn't hidden it as well as she'd like. If a stranger knows something's up, she really must be obvious. Zareh meanwhile gives the offered hand a curious sniff.]
I'm sorry, I don't mean to make this awkward for you. It's just been... a long time since I've seen her. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.
[In the grand scheme of things, it hadn't really been all that long. But considering what had happened the last time she'd seen Zareh, she can't help feeling strongly about this reunion.]
no subject
My b... [ cough ] boyfriend made a similar wish, for his dragon named Fang... and last year, I took care of a rather rambunctious pup, whose owners had the same idea. Blossom, her name was.
But... I've never seen it happen in person. [ Guess she missed another one. ]
no subject
[Happy tears, sad tears, she's feeling conflicted at the very least. But yes, mostly happy. It's so good to see a familiar face, one that strikes a different chord than the friends she lives with now.]

thanks for keeping this up for so long. <3 you can wrap it for us or leave it here, up to you!
dragon-sitting
Norimune noticed this one's wanderings, and quietly follows after them to watch. They're still within the nursery, so it's still safe. But they still need to keep an eye on them, in any case. He smiles when he sees what seems to be happening, and watch for a moment.]
no subject
Oh, are you hungry too? There's plenty to go around, just remember to play nice and wait your turn.
no subject
Norimune softly chuckles to himself, as he slowly walks over. Not loud enough to disturb the hatchling, but Kisara may or may not notice him.]
no subject
The chuckle and his approach combined catches her attention, and she glances over, offering a nod in greeting.]
Hello. Are you helping out as well?
II - DRAGONS
She takes some moments to listen to Kisara's exchange to the toddler dragonling and can't seem to help the smile that creeps its way into her expression.]
Well, now. Is this not cute.
[And a bit messy, she interjects quietly after a polite clearing of the throat, just so she doesn't catch either of them entirely off guard.]
I think it is getting more food on it than in it, Kisara.
no subject
Sometimes the mess is half the fun. Animals can groom themselves, so it's almost like a snack for later. Right?
[She gently boops the snout of the dragon child, who makes a self-satisfied noise halfway between a chirp and a growl.]
no subject
I suppose that is one way of looking at it. You have a sight more patience than I do.
[Which is not a surprise at all. Beatrix is beginning to suspect that Kisara is built of unending patience. She can’t imagine the woman in any other way.]
It seems you are getting on well with them, however. I wonder if they are particularly good judges of character. It is said, after all, that animals can detect the intentions of people around them. These dragons may very well be the same.
no subject
[It's a good thing they're so friendly, or they'd be far more dangerous to those living here.]
no subject
[Kisara, obviously. Beatrix looks both thoughtful and impressed, though when she thinks of the grand dragons in Gaia, she realises she’s never much given thought to beasts having sentience. Of course, they probably have families and a desire to survive when they are not driven into frenzy by the Mist, but…
Well. It seems difficult to live in a world where they have to be culled for the protection of citizens. In hindsight, beasts have as much a right to live in the same world. If she were more of the mind to conserve…]
Either way, this little one, if as clever as you say, likely read your intent. And as far as I am aware, there is not a sharp edge on you, Kisara, outside of your mind.

lmao yeahhhh woo

And so she follows along as they seek out the mythical truffle. Once the pig stalls, Gina makes her attempts to coax the creature, in vain. But theh, Kisara hums, and Gina watches silently.]
...That don't sound bad at all... [She mutters, impressed. And their piggy friend seems to agree!]
no subject
I didn't actually expect it to work... I guess they do like music. Ah- sorry, sorry. I'll keep going.
[She starts to hum again when the pig makes a noisy objection and stops moving, continuing the song to make it continue forward and get it back onto the path.]
no subject
I didn't take ya for the singin' type. But now it sounds like yer stuck wiv it. [She shrugs and gives a teasing smirk, while doing what she can to help guide the pig out of the mud.]
no subject
I don't know if I'd consider myself the type either. But if it has to be done, I guess I'll manage.
no subject
Wot kinda song was that anyhow? [Now she's curious.]

They've grown significantly. [ Somnus' form is still phantom-like, accented by a misty, pale aura, cold and intangible.
But his gaze shifts from the creature to her, where his chin lifts in acknowledgment. He greets her in the usual fashion: ] Hail, Kisara.
no subject
Hello, Somnus. [She gently dabs at the dragon's jaws, coaxing it to lick its chops and clean off some of the bits that had missed.] It's good to see them growing happy and healthy, isn't it?
no subject
Dragons in this realm, apparently, can shapeshift and take on more humanoid appearances. That's not quite the case, yet, with this one, but it does bring up the question of when they might begin to utilize that power. ]
Did its parents charge you to care for their hatchling?
no subject
[She trails off, hoping to leave the implication unspoken so as not to make the poor creature unhappy, when it's only begun to cheer up through a good meal. She'd been paired with one of the orphans still waiting to either find parents or be adopted.]
I like to work wherever care is needed most. I suppose you could say this one called to me.
