Clinic – OTA
[ If anyone has been around the clinic for the last couple of days they’ll notice the still carved jack-o-lanterns that remain on the front outside of the building, along with some still spooky décor. But Shigeru, after experiencing Earth holidays, now has investigated them a bit more and has read up on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and all the others in between. His world was surprisingly lacking when it came to holidays it seemed, at ones that the whole world celebrated?! So he’s going to make a list and offer up help to decorate the clinic for the upcoming months. ]
Good afternoon, everyone! This is Shigeru, the resident doctor at the clinic! I was wondering what sort of decorations one makes and puts out for…Christmas and Thanksgiving?! We don’t celebrate these holidays back in my world and I want the clinic to look lively and fun for the holidays themselves! If anyone can explain to me what they're about maybe it'll give me some ideas on how to decorate the clinic! I think it’ll be more inviting that way and festive too! If anyone has any ideas on how to spruce the place up please let me know!

[ The familiar writing of a certain mute will pop up one afternoon. By now everyone should be used to Shigeru’s use of emotes so, honestly, it’s easy to tell that it’s him. ]
What’s everyone’s favorite dish from home? Wouldn't it be really cool to compile a recipe book filled with all types of different worldly…otherworldly?? foods that people love to eat from their homeworlds? It can be something you’ve always had on your birthday or something you eat for a holiday!! Maybe a favorite snack you want to be recreated here?? Anyway, I just want to try to learn how to cook some new things and would love to learn more about people’s cultures and cuisines from home. I think it would be a really special thing for people to contribute too so let me know what you think!
I also read that Thanksgiving is a gathering of people who eat a big meal together?? So, I was wondering if we should have a big dinner type of thing to emulate it with everyone. Let me know what you think!

It’s been…a long time since I brought this up, but if anyone wants to do private one-on-one lessons with people for sign language please let me know! If you’d like to schedule a time to meet we can discuss it and what topics you'd like me to cover. I know we have our group meetings but this is for people who want help with things they're having trouble with!
Dream – cw blood
[ The dream recorded starts with Shigeru behind cell bars, the surrounding area damp, dark, and dingy. But he doesn’t look like he normally would, instead, his eyes are inhuman, with black sclera and purple glowing irises, and undulating behind him are shadowy, inky, tendrils that seem to move on their own. Around his ankles and wrists are metallic futuristic-looking shackles that he simply fails to even try to break free from. Scrawled on the wall behind him are the words ‘MONSTER’ written in what can only be presumed to be blood. Shigeru himself will sit there curled up, silently crying to himself, but his expression changes as a man walk into view. The man’s voice is muffled but it sounds like it’s disgusted by what it sees as Shigeru gets to his feet only to reach out towards the figure, a painful shock tearing through him as he lets out a painful yelp. He’s brought to his knees as he mouths the words 'Alex, please.' Before his attention is brought to whoever has now stepped into his dream and when he finally notices his expression is one of shame and embarrassment the walls of his cell seem to fold and buckle as if to collapse around him and shield him from whoever’s view. The tendrils also seem to wrap themselves around Shigeru, like a cocoon of sorts.
‘Go away’ is what people will hear in their heads as Shigeru cowers in the corner of the now-darkening cell. The words repeated once more and then again, almost as if they were a mantra. ]

My favorite? Hm, well, there is this fresh seafood dish that Aphalonia is famous for so probably that! I make it for myself and my coworkers back home all the time. But I don't think the fish I use exist here. That's a good point too. A lot of ingredients people have back home are probably not here, huh?

I can't think of a better reason for a celebration. I feel rather fortunate that I arrived when I did. And to have met someone with common interests so quickly. I observed a bit about cooking from other worlds in my own, but I think there are far more people to learn from here.

Very sad.
He doesn't like that look on Shigeru's face. He likes seeing a smile, seeing warmth and fondness and happiness. Whatever this place is, whoever 'Alex' is--it's not good. It hurts a little to see that look of mortification cross the man's face when he notices him, and even worse when the dream unconsciously closes off because of it, tendrils creating a barrier between them. It doesn't stop Unnamed from trying to reach out, hands landing on one of the tendrils as the sensation of his 'intent' carries across, both words and not.
"Yellow Glasses? Yellow Glasses...? Don't go, I'm here! Don't be sad... It's a dream, you can wake up. It's okay."
