What: Genshin cast meets up for dinner and a small party, chaos ensues

[The temperature dropped, snow started to fall and it seems like Reverein is preparing for some kind of holiday. Aether observes all of that with fascination and decides that this is a perfect moment to gather everyone for a dinner together. Surely, a meeting at such a time will help them all get along!

...Hopefully.

Every person from Teyvat will get an invitation as Aether gets to work, and when the day comes around, all invited will be welcomed by the traveler and lead inside to the living room.

All kinds of dishes can be found on the table and everyone should be able to find something they like. Apart from various specialities from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma, there are also Snezhnayan dishes, all thanks to a certain Harbinger who helped Aether prepare this feast. You can also find various drinks and teas to warm you up (likely a contribution from Diluc and Zhongli), though Aether did not foresee that a certain bard may be trying to add something to those drinks. Be careful not to get drunk!

Apart from food, you can warm up by the fireplace and there are also blankets stacked on the couch in case someone felt particularly cold today.

In the corner of the room there are many small boxes with bows, each one having a name tag. Apparently, this is a gift-giving season so the traveler felt the need to include that in his plans. The gifts are really not too much, many will find cookies and a colourful holiday card inside, but it's the thought that counts!

Sadly, not everything is planned. Aether could not expect that his house will be so inviting for Gumdrops. The small creature will float around, urging you to hug or kiss... or fight! Aether definitely does not like that last kind.]

Tea and juice, hmm?

[ a soft laugh, kaeya's arms settled loosely around him. it's a nice hug, aether is small but he's very warm, and his hair smells good, clean and fresh, and kaeya drops his head to rest his chin comfortably atop aether's head. ]

And perhaps did anything taste.. off, about those drinks, hmm?

[ because he's definitely a little drunk. ]

[He stays close, feeling comfortable as Kaeya holds him loosely.]

Hm... maybe a little?

[He laughs, as if that was a joke.]

But I feel fine! And warm.

[He's in a very good mood, too.]

You're a cute, happy little drunk, aren't you?

[ kaeya smiles, one hand patting aether's back, the other lifting to gently stroke his golden hair. he'll allow this hug to go on as long as aether wants it to. ]

Good to know. Happy, even sleepy drinkers are much more pleasant than their morose or combative counterparts.

[That comment gets him to finally pull away a little, his hands still holding onto Kaeya to steady himself. Aether's face is flushed and there's a small pout forming on it.]

I'm not cute. Or little.

[He pauses for a moment, eyes narrowing ever so slightly.]

You're just too tall.

[ kaeya barks a warm, bright laugh. ]

You're very cute, and I think you know it.

[ he won't comment on the "little" part, though, he doesn't want to get elbowed in the gut. instead, kaeya boops aether's nose with his knuckles. ]

You wouldn't be pouting like that if you didn't know it was cute.

[There's a small, strained noise coming from him, as he's trying not to pout more. It does not work and Aether looks away.]

You're just teasing me.

[He pauses yet again.]

If the room wasn't swaying I would show you that I'm not cute at all.

[He absolutely would!!!]

Of course I'm teasing you.

[ it's how kaeya shows his love!! he's also going to show it by taking care of this drunk little mans.. kaeya is totally drunk also, but he's used to handling himself while he's inebriated. aether isn't.

so kaeya's just going to gently herd him toward the sofa. ]

Is that so? Just how would you show me?

[Getting him to move towards the sofa is no problem at all. Aether doesn't resist even a little... but he's still pouting somehow. And pondering Kaeya's question.]

I would... I would fight Childe!

[That's not cute at all, right!!]

... But I told him fighting in the house is forbidden, so... we would have to fight outside.

[ kaeya plops right down onto the sofa, and tugs aether down with him. time to take a load off and relax, little buddy. maybe take a nap. ]

Would you, now? I don't think you're in any condition to be fighting anyone.

[ and it would probably still somehow be cute.. ]

Alas, you'll just have to show me another time.

[He sits down right next to Kaeya and gives him a confused look.]

I feel perfectly fine... In fact, I'm pretty sure I could do anything without a problem.

[He absolutely would not be able to do it, but he doesn't realize the issue.]

Is that so? Are you willing to prove that to me?

[ kaeya sits back, crossing his long legs comfortably. ]

Pat your head with one hand, while rubbing your stomach with the other.

[Oh please, that sounds like nothing! Aether gives Kaeya a confident look. He can't believe his friend would try to test him in such a silly way, but he's willing to humour him to prove his claim.

...It soon turns out that the test is much more difficult than the traveler would ever anticipate. Somehow his limbs don't seem to be cooperating - he either focuses on patting his head or rubbing the stomach, and no matter how much he frowns over this problem, he can't do both actions at the same time.]

No, wait... I'll do it.

[But he's also stubborn.]

[ okay this is just.. so funny to watch. kaeya would laugh harder if this were anyone but aether, but he's doing his best to contain himself.. which means he's still snickering behind his fist, holding in raucous laughter. ]

Yes, yes, do keep trying..

[ he's happy to watch. ]

[While drunk, Aether is very slow, but he eventually realizes that Kaeya is holding back laughter. When he does notice, the traveler's face becomes bright red and he quickly pouts, lunging at his companion. Apparently alcohol makes him act more childish than usually because his first thought is "this warrants a tickle attack!"]

You're making fun of me again!

[Or maybe he remembered the time he spent with his sister. They would make joke around like this sometimes too.]

Oh, just a little.

[ but aether did want to prove his sobriety!!

also omg, incoming tickle attack!! aether's little fingers find their mark, digging against his ribs, and kaeya laughs heartily, wriggling away to the other end of the sofa. ]

There's no need for violence!

[He stops the onslaught pretty fast, even though his hands still reach for Kaeya's sides as if a looming threat. Meanwhile, Aether smiles somewhat satisfied with the other's reaction.]

You deserve it!

[He snickers.]

And I won't hesitate to do it again.

I did no such thing! I'm innocent!

[ kaeya, of all people, saying this.. the least innocent man in teyvat. ]

Please, have mercy, dear Honorary Knight..

Innocent? Right, right...

[Even drunk Aether does not believe this at all.]

I'll have mercy only if you make it up to me.

[And how exactly? He has no idea.]

[ slander against his character tbh.. ]

Make it up to you, hm? And just how do you expect me to do that?

[ he reaches forward and boops aether right on the snoot. ]

[He makes a face at that, touching his nose as if to shield it. Kaeya is truly evil!]

I... am not sure yet, but I will think of something. Just wait.

[He crosses his arms then closes his eyes, trying to think. Sadly, sitting on the couch in this state is making him sleepy instead.]
