What: Genshin cast meets up for dinner and a small party, chaos ensues

[The temperature dropped, snow started to fall and it seems like Reverein is preparing for some kind of holiday. Aether observes all of that with fascination and decides that this is a perfect moment to gather everyone for a dinner together. Surely, a meeting at such a time will help them all get along!

...Hopefully.

Every person from Teyvat will get an invitation as Aether gets to work, and when the day comes around, all invited will be welcomed by the traveler and lead inside to the living room.

All kinds of dishes can be found on the table and everyone should be able to find something they like. Apart from various specialities from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma, there are also Snezhnayan dishes, all thanks to a certain Harbinger who helped Aether prepare this feast. You can also find various drinks and teas to warm you up (likely a contribution from Diluc and Zhongli), though Aether did not foresee that a certain bard may be trying to add something to those drinks. Be careful not to get drunk!

Apart from food, you can warm up by the fireplace and there are also blankets stacked on the couch in case someone felt particularly cold today.

In the corner of the room there are many small boxes with bows, each one having a name tag. Apparently, this is a gift-giving season so the traveler felt the need to include that in his plans. The gifts are really not too much, many will find cookies and a colourful holiday card inside, but it's the thought that counts!

Sadly, not everything is planned. Aether could not expect that his house will be so inviting for Gumdrops. The small creature will float around, urging you to hug or kiss... or fight! Aether definitely does not like that last kind.]

[ Albedo doesn't have particularly strong opinions about the taste of wine, but he does prefer the sweeter taste of Mondstadt's...he's becoming a true Mondstadter at heart.

Before he takes another sip, Albedo's gaze tilts slightly as Venti changes the path of their conversation. ]

Oh? Certainly, I have time. What's on your mind?

[ Is he gonna regret this... ]

[A true Mondstadter will always enjoy the sweet comforting taste of Mondstadt apples be it in wine or any other form!

And Venti smiles happily knowing that he could count on Albedo.]

Just a simple thought I've been wondering about lately! I was wondering if you could tell me if you often remember your dreams after you've woken up?

[What, did Albedo think Venti was going to ask something scandalous??]

[ Yes, he absolutely did...

The question is an unexpected one, however - he didn't anticipate that the bard would have an interest in the nature of dreams, but then again, this world gives them all a reason to have a vested interest in learning more about them. ]

Fairly often, yes. I'm fastidious about writing down my dreams when I awaken from them, before they can slip away. There are some dreams I've had recently that belonged to others, as well. Those remain crystal clear.

[ He's yet to have anyone intrude upon his own dreams, but he figures it's only a matter of time. ]

Why do you ask?

Oh, I see! Does that mean you keep a dream journal of some sort? I would be curious to see it!

[Venti smiles softly.]

I only ask because I wonder... Do you think we'll remember our dreams when we wake from this world?

[There might be something underlying Venti's words but it's hard to tell. He has thoughts about this place. About dreams and time spent here and memories made. Fading things and memories... Where does the line fade? Albedo is an intelligent mind. So Venti wonders what his answers would be.]

[ Ah, that's a question he's wondered himself, as well. If this is all truly a dream, yet it feels so real, and waking...would they be able to remember all of it when they wake up? Or will it all disappear, like a fleeting memory? Lost forever in the depths of their minds?

Would he even be able to record it all in a dream journal? ]

That...is something I am still deciding for myself. Intuitively, I would like to believe that yes, we will remember it, so long as we are the sort that typically remember our dreams. However...

[ A soft, thoughtful sound. ]

There is simply too much at play here for me to be certain in that. If there is some way to ensure we can remember, I would like to pursue it.

[Those questions are the very ones that Venti ponders every now and then. He wonders what his precious Mondstadters think of such a thing too. This is why he asks Albedo for his thoughts. And the alchemist gives him something that he was almost expecting to hear. If Mondstadters are anything it is persistent in learning and keeping things precious to them safe.]

[He tilts his head.]

I suppose in the meantime it's only best that we live this dream to the fullest, don't you think? Keep every memory and dream close to your heart and sing every song that can be sung.

[He giggles.]

And never miss a kiss with a certain captain! Ehe!

[And there it is- the scandel.]

[ Ah, and just when Venti’s wisdom and philosophy of life are almost comforting, he goes and does this…Albedo’s features grow pink, right to the tips of his ears, as he reaches up to absently tuck a strand of hair behind his ear. ]

Ah - yes. Well. I suppose I can’t…argue with you there.

[ THEY WERE PERCEIVED…how many people noticed? He’s ordinarily such a private person - this is quite the shock to his system. ]

A-anyway. I should go, er - check on Master Diluc. If you’ll excuse me –

[ He has to go now, his planet needs him. ]

Oh!?

[Venti is trying very hard not to giggle too loudly. Perhaps he can blame it on the wine!]

[He gives a tiny wave and a knowing little wink. Have fun!! Go kiss Kaeya some more!]
