open 🔸 perfectly reasonable decisions
Who: Ferran & you!
Which: open log
Where: network, wilderness, wastelands, around town
What: Ferran has had enough of holding back.
Warnings: hallucinations, violence
A ♦ Network
[While Ferran only meant to send this to his friends, it's entirely possible he may have slipped up at some point because magic journals are finicky and he never bothered with the details of this one. Whoops!]
I'm going to do something stupid. [......] Okay, I've been doing stupid things, but this is different, and I don't know if it's more or less stupid. I have like three failsafes on me, but I really don't know what to expect.
[Encouraging!]
Anyway, if you see me around later and I'm doing something terrible, get someone to beat me up, please. [Or do it yourself, he's not picky.]

[Later, about an hour's walk north from town is where Ferran's decided to conduct the aforementioned stupidity. He checks his coat pocket for one of his last healing talismans, his internal coat pocket for a handful of the blue petals Susato gave him, and one of his pants pockets for a moon crystal.
Having confirmed the presence of them all, he rubs a hand down his face and shakes his head like he's trying to dislodge his nerves.]
Alright, come on, Ferran. It'll be fine. Even if it's not great.
[He takes a steadying breath, putting a hand over his ever-present necklace. It's far from the first time he's channeled his powers intentionally. If using them hasn't triggered anything horrible so far, a step further won't be a problem, right?]
C
[All of this has been for the sake of doing something... a little more productive, in a dangerous sense. He knows from experience what kind of things can happen when magical crystals aren't kept in check—so he's out in the Wastelands closer to the middle of the month with whoever else has decided to take on the unpleasant task. What's the point of him having all these powers if he doesn't use them to help?
Just don't ask him where he got the healing magic.]
Wildcard
[Ferran can also be found looking into the world tree with some interest, or simply around town doing normal errands. At first glance, it seems like he's being followed... but wait, where did they go? There was definitely something there a second before. How strange.]

A - for now
After, I feel like someone has been telling you this for a while.
>:3!!
[So what if you're right!!]
And I did take a break from the things that were physically stupid to do things that were emotionally stupid for a while.

It doesn't count for anything, Ferran.

[He's just being contrary now...]
Anyway, I'm better on both fronts at the moment, so it's a better time to test things than in the middle of some disaster.

[ Don't play this game with him ]
no subject
[make him.]

One of these days I'm going to do something risky that turns out well for you and you're going to be grateful. You won't ever admit it, but I'll know, and that will be enough for me.
no subject
[ And be thankful, but he doesn't need to admit to that sort of thing out loud. ]
no subject
[He means this as a jest, really...]
It's just part of the risk involved.

[ Conditionally... ]

I'm open to being proven wrong, though it might take me a minute to get over the shock.

Stop hanging around soft-hearted people so much.
no subject
I've got bad news for you. I AM a soft-hearted person.
Also no.

[ and all he'll see is a giant ink spot. Vanitas had been about to say something... Incriminating. ]
no subject
"worried about you"? Now who's the one who's spent too much time around soft-hearted types?
[... more seriously.]
I am listening, though. I promise I'll be okay. I just might need to get smacked a couple of times, that's all.
no subject
[ Definitely trying to play off that it isn't him. Yupp yupp ]

[One day Vanitas will actually say something sappy aloud and he won't be able to erase that.]
I get it, really. This is me being cautious. If that's any comfort to that statistical population.
