[OPEN] Ralsei's Custom Clothing Shop
Who: Ralsei and anyone!
Which: Open Log! She sent invites to close CR, but everyone is welcome.
Where: Ralsei's clothing shop, the first floor of his home!
What: Custom clothing is available!
When: Deep in winter, after the events of the last TDM have worn off
Warnings: By thread, none expected!
[A] Announcement
A page in the journal was black, written on in white ink, with a cutesy drawing -- not imprinting -- of what looks like a two-story house, emblazoned with the words Ralsei's Custom Clothes and Accessories!, exclamation point included. In front is a stick figure of Ralsei himself, in green and black and pink.
Beneath, written very neatly:
[Hello, everyone! It's my pleasure to open up a clothing shop for you all. I've worked hard to put together enough clothes for you all in just about every size and shape I've seen here in Reverein, and I'm happy to make any adjustments you could want or like! If you don't have money, come on down anyway; I'm sure we can work something out!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all very soon! ]
Another little stick figure is drawn below that, waving.
[C] Commencement
The drawing was remarkably accurate to the actual place. There was the wooden gabled roof, the chimney puffing away merrily, and the sign announcing the opening of his shop in simple white letters. That's where the similarities ended, though.
The clothes he promised practically overflowed from inside -- front windows showcasing every size and shape of clothes, from normal coats to ones adjusted for those with wings or tails, even a little cozy that seemed fitted to a flower, strangely enough.
On the note of greenery, in spite of the cold, the place had nearly as many plants as clothes, potted flowers flourishing in the snow. It certainly made his place stand out. Which he did! He stood outside his shop, and his expression brightened the place more than the flowers did as he said in a rush, "Welcome, welcome! Come in, what can I do for you?"
[E] Excitement
Ralsei was having trouble. The opening of his clothing shop had gone well enough, to be sure -- it was afterward that the trouble started. Little things being misplaced, threadwork strewn out to leave him stumbling, and the like.
It culiminated in him reaching down to pick up a dropped thimble (his fault, actually) and being draped in the same bright blue cloth sheet he was working on. He yelped, stumbling out the front door of his workshop, flailing around wildly in the mid-morning air, the air around him filled with mischievous giggles.
It looks like the goatboy could use a little help.

E
"Um, are you alright?" she asks as she tries to figure out the best way to assist. "Here, let me give you a hand...!"
Re: E
There's a faint sound of bells that fades with a quiet giggle as Pauline attempts to help. It takes a few pulls, but after a moment, Ralsei spins free!
The shopkeep stumbles in place, blinking as the world spins before him. "Agh. Oof... I think I need a minute." After a second, he topples down to take a seat on the ground, a little more roughly than he intended.
no subject
She kneels next to him, while doing her best to try and fold the cloth over her armsĀ now that he's no longer stuck in it.
"Are you like, okay? What the heck happened?"
no subject
He rubbed over his face heavily with a paw, waiting for the world to stop spinning before he made any more efforts than that to move. After a couple dozen seconds, he takes a soft breath.
"Goodness. Um. Sorry about that... I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Since the day after I launched my store, it's seemed like everything's going wrong. Misplaced things, tripping over all and sundry, the like." He rubs his face again and gets back up, using the outside wall of his shop to stay steady.
"Thank you for the help, though! It's much appreciated."
no subject
She stands back up and looks towards the shop, a mild frown on her face. That certainly sounds like a mystery. She takes a moment to think about what he's said, then moves to open the door for him.
"It's only been happening since you opened shop, though? That can't be a coincidence, right?"
no subject
"Thank you!" He beams, stepping inside and holding his arms wide as if to say, 'ta-da'! "I'm, um, you probably know already, but I'm Ralsei! It's a pleasure to meet you, miss!"
Ralsei visibly thinks for a moment. "You're not wrong, but I don't know what could have happened. If I upset anyone, I'd like to know, so I could do better..." There's another faint tinkling of bells.
It gets a strange look from Ralsei, but there's no further response.
no subject
Smiling, she steps in after him and glances around. She's honestly pretty impressed. Everything is so cute. Pauline's smile fades as she listens to his concerns. Her posture straightens just a little when she hears those bells and she raises an eyebrow, letting out a thoughtful hum.
"It might not be someone that's angry at you. Maybe someone is jealous of your shop here. Or someone is using the opportunity to be a prankster?"
no subject
"Y'know, if..." He pauses abruptly. He'd met at least a few of the more... friendly trickster types around. There wasn't a lot in common between them, but the one thing he'd noticed was they all had a strong sense of pride. Maybe it's best not to offer them clothes for free.
"Well, I've been pretty thoroughly defeated here. Even needed Pauline's help." He says to the air, facing away from her. "Whoever's responsible, could I convince you to take an offering of clothes in exchange for stopping?"
There's another sound of bells, quieter and closer together. This time, they last long enough to track them to a little hand-and-a-half-tall sprite whose head was poking over one of the clothing racks. They looked very smug. "I won!" Their voice rang out.
Ralsei let out a soft sigh of relief and mouthed a 'Thank you' over at Pauline.
no subject
She gives him a small smile and vague 'don't worry about it' motion with her hand.
"Not quite what I expected...," she says, before leaning down a little bit, adopting a quieter tone. "Someone you're like, familiar with or...?"
no subject
Abruptly, a puff of smoke obfuscated a sheet of paper falling into Ralsei's face. He coughs. Cinnamon?... weird. The paper had written in neat, nearly-unreadable olde englishe the measurements. They were written out in words, no numbers. The blue-hatted sprite gave another smug grin.
...He wasn't going to verbally say the sprite he'd just gotten off his back was annoying, but he was going to think it loudly. "Um, measurements," He says, waving the paper. "Thank you," He adds after a moment, directed at the sprite.
They responded with a nod, squeaky voice filling the air, "I expect mine done by the end of the day," and glanced at Pauline. "And clothes for her, too! I'll not owe her any Favors."
no subject
"Uh, no, um no one owes me any favors at all!" she says, a bit nervously. She whispers to Ralsei, just in case the little prankster is still listening. "You, um, you don't have to do that for me, really."
