[ Shigeru is...gone, now. Unnamed understands that. He misses him a lot (a lot), but he doesn't think that Shigeru would want him to sit around moping about it day in and day out. Shigeru liked to help him--has helped him, and now that he's feeling a little more confident about it, Unnamed decides that it's time to start this day off with something helpful. Something good. ]

[ And just like he says, Unnamed is sitting and waiting in the main plaza near a fountain, his journal propped up against its side with the words "SIGN LANGUAGE" printed in large font. He's hoping one or two people will at least show up, but that isn't necessary to interact with him. If he sees someone he knows he'll lift a hand to wave and come to greet them.

A lot of people he knows have gone home recently okay he needs to make sure you don't go anywhere either ;w; ]

[Norimune remembers Shigeru. They didn't know each other very well, but enough for Norimune to remember his name and their interactions. While sign language does have its own history in Japan, it didn't show up that prominently in his own life. It's both unique and useful to know.

As he approach the plaza, he smiles and wave back at the young zombie. Once he's close enough, his hands move to sign at him.

"Hello, kid."]

[ Oh...!! Another person he knows signing at him...! Unnamed inhales quickly and stands, pointing at Norimune's hands in excitement. It takes him a few seconds of silent gesturing, but manages out:

"You! Sign! You learn??"

It's all done with exaggerated motions that speak to his delight as he hurries over to grandpa sword ]

[He laughs and nods with a smile.

"Yes, a little! Young Shigeru taught me."

He's not fluent, but they're communicating! A little. And it's worth it to see the clear joy in the young one's reactions.]

[ Shigeru again. The more he hears from other people, the more he's in awe of everything Shigeru's done for him. He might not be here anymore, but thanks to him, so many more people have started to learn Sign Language.

It's like he's being given a gift, even if Shigeru's no longer around to present it himself.

Unnamed can't help but smile.

"Your Signing is very good," he gestures, going a bit slower for Norimune's benefit. ]

[Norimune smiles wider, appreciative of the slower gestures. He could force himself to learn, but he doesn't want to dismiss Unnamed being considerate for him.

"Thank you. I try my best to learn."

Unfortunately, Shigeru's no longer around. His learning will be on hold... or take longer.]

[ Well...there's also him! He might not be as experience (or even as qualified) a teacher, but he's still very happy to at least talk with Norimune. It'd be excellent practice for both of them.

"We learn together?" he offers to that effect, looking up at Norimune with hopeful eyes. ]

[He nods with a wider smile.

"Yes, I do."

And however it goes, he'll let Unnamed to take the lead.]

[ "OK!" His hands are full of energy as he makes the motion, eyes bright.

"What Signs you understand?" Best to get that clarified before anything else; it'll help him know which ones he ought to use and which flashcards would be good to use as study material. ]

[What signs he knows... It's best to show him. After a brief moment, Norimune shows him all the ones he knows so far.

He knows some basics, plus a few he asked Shigeru to taught him. How else he can be can old one without referring to people as "kid", "young", etc?]

[ It's not a bad repertoire for a beginner learning Sign. There's a few in there that make him grin a bit (clearly, Norimune's got different things he wants to say), but he nods as grandpa sword finishes showing him.

"You understand lots of words," he signs. "Wow! Very good." ]

[His smile is wide and joyful, and he nods in response.

"I'm glad. I want to learn a lot and talk with you."

Writing on their journals can still work, but using sign language gives a different feeling. A different sense of personal communication.]

[ Oh, that's... Is Norimune doing this for him? Just to be able to communicate...? There aren't any other deaf people here as far as he knows.

Unnamed flusters, happy and excited and everything all at once.

"You learn to talk with me? Thank you!" ]

[His smile widen, as he choose to reach put and give Unnamed some head pats. After he got his fill, he retracts his hand to sign again.

"It's no problem. I look forward to talking with you, kid."]
