[ Shigeru is...gone, now. Unnamed understands that. He misses him a lot (a lot), but he doesn't think that Shigeru would want him to sit around moping about it day in and day out. Shigeru liked to help him--has helped him, and now that he's feeling a little more confident about it, Unnamed decides that it's time to start this day off with something helpful. Something good. ]

[ And just like he says, Unnamed is sitting and waiting in the main plaza near a fountain, his journal propped up against its side with the words "SIGN LANGUAGE" printed in large font. He's hoping one or two people will at least show up, but that isn't necessary to interact with him. If he sees someone he knows he'll lift a hand to wave and come to greet them.

A lot of people he knows have gone home recently okay he needs to make sure you don't go anywhere either ;w; ]

Ouh...!

[ OH HE GETS TO HELP, Susatooooo--he's never helped anyone with their hair before. He's a little apprehensive, a little excited, and very careful in the way he tries to mimic the steps she's shown him to help with the second loop. His fine motor skills aren't the best so there are times he's a little clumsy, but he does his best to help her pin the second loop up.

Regardless of the aesthetic outcome, he still holds his journal up to her afterwards with a bright: ]

[ She doesn't exactly jump at getting out a mirror to check, but that loop does feel a little crooked. Maybe it's too high or too low. Normally Susato would just fix this right away, but just this once, she feels compelled to keep it just like it is. She grins, equally bright. ]

[ There is a thoughtful pause. The grin fades as she tries to remember, but then she finally puts a hand over her mouth, letting it fall forward toward him. ]

[ He knows Susato said Shigeru taught her some Signs, but he still looks wonderfully surprised when she uses Sign Language. The grin that overcomes him second later is instant though, and he makes a happy noise as he returns the gesture with a,

"You're welcome!" He can't sign back to her fast enough; it's clear that just that is enough to make him very, very happy. ]

[ "Thank you" and "you're welcome" are pretty basic! Susato likely recognizes the sign in return, so she mimics it with a chuckle at his enthusiasm. ]

It was one of the first things I learned. That, and...

[ She pauses, before making her hand into a fist. Pressing it to her chest, she makes small circular motions. ]

[ Ohh, that Sign. Unnamed doesn't need to use it as much these days, but when he was first learning it was one he'd make to Shigeru often. Sorry he didn't wash his hands, sorry he tracked mud on the floor, sorry he brought home a rotten orange and thrust it in Shigeru's face..... ]

Oof. Susato is a Neat Freak to a high degree, so she really wouldn't like the sounds of that. Perhaps she would have gotten along better with Shigeru than she expected. They won't find out...maybe not "ever," but at least for a while. ]

[ He'll probably take over from here. Susato makes herself comfortable and inquires after more words and phrases that he thinks should be important. She'll be taking notes as well! ]
