It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Chalcedony Akerman. Seeing as how this establishment is large and still unfamiliar with me I thought it might be wise to go with a companion.

If I may as how long have you been in this world?

[Susato seems to be able to find her way here just fine.]

[ Susato's gaze falls slightly when the nightmare monsters are mentioned. He's definitely not ready for that conversation yet, though she's certainly dealt with her fair share of them. ]

They are called noctaere... Though I have never heard of a Xerom, I'm afraid.

I understand. There are some things that only exist in my world as they do in yours.

Can I hear more about your original world?

[ He doesn't really understand Susato's style of dress either. She certainly doesn't look like a knight and she looks more like an ordinary civilian. Maybe she might be a little more important than that too. It's rude to judge by appearances. ]

[ She's definitely just an ordinary civilian. Her style of dress is so second nature to her that she doesn't really think to explain, but she does note how he looks back at her with interest.

She looks down at herself, as if to make sure there's no dirt or anything caught anywhere that she hasn't noticed. ]

Oh, yes... Of course. If I may hear a little more about yours, that is.

...Have you ever heard of Earth? [ WHICH FEELS... SILLY TO ASK. Super silly. But this is a dream world. ]

No, I haven't. I came from a place named Organica. Apart from myself there's one other here who originates from the same star.

What is Earth?

[He doesn't know what that is. Is that where Susato lives??? His confusion is very apparent. ]

Earth is where my homeland is. It is another star.

Truthfully, I haven't seen much of it... but with my travels across the ocean, I was starting to. [ She sounds nostalgic, like she hasn't really thought about it in a long time. ]

I'm at least familiar with the idea of traveling across sea. There's a harbor that allowed people to travel from one place to the next.

We worship the great and mighty winged whale. Are there any sea creatures that you're fond of?

[ You know there's a lot of fish and things like dolphins that Susato might enjoy. ]

[ There are. There is also a beach? She doesn't know if Chalcedony has been there yet, however, as it's pretty out of the way. ]

Ah... Well, I'm somewhat fond of... turtles. [ Thanks to Mr Turtle. ] I suppose. But I would not say I worship them.

[ ...a beat. ]

Our whales are also decidedly not winged.

Turtles are wonderful creatures that deserve our utmost respect.

[ He can respect turtles but spiders? No, never. ]

The Winged Whale is a special being. It's a Servant of the Valentin god and it's considered to be sacred among people in my world. Though I do not know what kind of religions you practice or gods you've encountered thus far.

[ That much, they can agree on, though religion isn't a topic that has come up much in her time here. ]

Hmm. I've not asked about the worship customs of others, but I'm certain there are many. Reverein is a mixture of all sorts of cultures.

It is fascinating, truly. I've been able to learn so much in my time here.

Indeed, I must apologize for getting carried away. There's still a task we must accomplish together.

[ He's starting to get a better understanding of Susato's personality. She seems like a good person. ]

Reverein's customs are a world apart from my own and yours as well. We just have to do our best.

[ She smiles. Truthfully, the idea of learning such customs always excites her; but she does appreciate the reminder of the task at hand. After a walk that is mostly peaceful, they come up against a cliff, and a faint singing can be heard from somewhere above them.
