Dreambucks
(It has been a while since she visited Dreambucks and Anya thinks that it is a good time to visit it and check out the new offerings for the season. After going through the menu, she settles on a cup of Cranberry Cheer and slowly sips it while Pooka takes a nap beside her seat.

As she takes in the drink, she is starting to feel rather festive for the Russian Orthodox Christmas and the memories she once had with her family: snow falling down, playing in the snow with her sisters and brother, the quiet moments of prayers, and the beautiful sight of the Christmas tree decorated in the palace. Her crystal lantern pendant glows vibrantly as she enjoys her drink and relives the memories.

Granted, this is still very early for Christmas, but hey, a Grand Duchess can dream, right?)

Madame Blackbird’s
(It did take some time for her to find a job, but she has found employment in Madame Blackbird’s shop: assisting her in sewing and preparing materials for the clothing that needs to be made for the day. This is the best thing she can do to help the seamstress after she and Tenn found the threads for her shop.

You can find her either getting the shop ready to open for the day, sweeping the floors, or assisting Madame Blackbird in sewing a dress or a coat on the mannequin.)

Harvest Time
Hello! Do you need some help with the harvest?

(Anya just joined the harvest and she is going to assist in gathering up fruits and vegetables at the farmlands and picking up seeds for everyone to have something to eat for the winter. She is also pushing a wheelbarrow onto the fields and is checking around for any crops that she can find.

Pooka may or may not help if he isn’t seen chasing any wild animals that catch his attention.)

Madam Blackbird's

[professorbestie]

[By now, Yujin has been in this place long enough to get himself settled in. He still hasn't quite gotten used to the strange abilities some people have, nor the curious side-effects of his own emotional state, but he's no longer actively surprised by it. If it happens, it happens.

Still, he's come to realize that he's one of very few people dressed in Eastern garb. Western clothing appears to be the norm here. For that reason, he's out in town today, having a look at some suits, hats and even leather shoes. When he passes by Madam Blackbird's, he stops to have a look at what's displayed in the window. It all seems promising enough, but he doesn't know quite enough about the local fashion to know what's acceptable and what isn't.

After a long minute of display gazing, he finally steps inside.]

(Upon hearing footsteps entering the shop, Anya turns her attention away from fixing the thread drawers to see who has come inside. Pooka is still at the back area taking a nap at the moment.

She notices that there is an older man (who could be possibly around Vlad’s age by her best estimates) in a yukata and he is looking around for some clothes. It looks like she could try to help him out.)

Hello there. Welcome to Madame Blackbird’s shop. Is there anything in here you might be interested in?

[Yujin's eyes swerve along the clothes on display within the store before coming to rest on the young woman who's speaking to him. He smiles and nods his head, his demeanor courteous, but not in particularly distant manner.]

Good afternoon. I was wondering... Well, as you can see, my sense of fashion is perhaps not quite fashionable in this place. Might you be able to recommend something more local?

[grandduchess_anya]

Well, you must be very early since there are some suits that are going to be ready for sale pretty soon.

(She then points Yujin to a rack filled with suits that have been recently made and are waiting for customers to try them out. Anya must have lost count of how much work she has put into sewing some of them, but she is still proud of the work she had poured into.)

Feel free to browse through them and find something that you might like, Sir.

[It's reassuring, in a way, to be directed towards suits. Jackets, waistcoats, suit trousers... They may not have been in the largest portion of his life, but they've been present for several years nonetheless. He knows them well enough. Still, he finds himself lost when having to choose between color palettes and all the little details.]

If you don't mind... I was curious which you believe might suit me best. [The smile on his face sure implies that that pun was intentional.]

Oh, I can? Well, I’ll try to see which one will look good on you.

(She lets out a small chuckle upon hearing the pun. The Grand Duchess then scans through each suit, vest, and dress shirt to present to Yujin. There is an assortment of colors, patterns, and styles that it can be easy to be a little confused.

While searching for some options, she comes across two possible options for him to choose. Carefully taking them out of the rack, she raises the two suits on her hands at eye level.)

These two are the first ones that I have found in this rack. If you like, you can try both of them at the dressing room far from the counter.

Oh, thank you very much.

[He accepts both with a smile and a courteous nod of the head. The first one really appeals to him, though the second is not without its own merit. Ultimately, he supposes it does depend on whether they fit or not. He's slightly shorter than the average resident of this place, he's noticed.

So into the dressing room he goes, and he'll try this one first. Once he's ready, he exits the dressing room again and spends a long moment before the mirror. It seems to fit well enough, but there is one thing about it that stands out.]

Are all neckties in this place so... colorful?

[grandduchess_anya]

Well, it must be the patterns and color choices, if I’m not mistaken. Plenty of the ties in this store are really this colorful, Sir. My employer has an exquisite in fashion as she is generous, so she is usually the one who decides on which colors, patterns, materials, and styles to make clothes with.

(To be fair, she didn’t see that many people wearing so much colors since the Soviet Union came to existence following her family’s untimely curse, so seeing this many colors has been an interesting ride for her.)

[He tugs at the necktie with one hand to straighten it a bit more.]

I see... So something like this is the norm around here, then? That will take a bit of getting used to.

[Plaids and patterns stitched onto kimonos are about as colorful as a single article of clothing's ever gotten, for him. Still, he's adjusted to stranger things.]

Yes, it does take a while to get used to things in a different world. I know that very well as I have been to another world before this one and my time in there was a very interesting experience to say the least.

[professorbestie]

[It's a very odd realization to him that Anya's story sounds familiar; Kazuma too had been to another world before this one. It implies that world hopping is common around here. While he frowns lightly, he still defaults to polite curiosity regarding the matter.]

Is that so? If you don't mind my asking, what sort of world did you visit before this one?

[grandduchess_anya]

Well, prior to coming into this world, I had visited the Realm of Stories and stayed in there for a few months: it is a place where the stories come to life and everyone who arrives in the world becomes into an Aspect to help in restoring stories and fighting off an entity known as the Story Eater and its Erasers.

We don’t necessarily become the characters we take on the roles from, just inheriting the abilities and powers they have.

[professorbestie]

A realm of stories... That's quite something. I hadn't thought anything would be more fantastical than a world of dreams. [He smiles, tilting his head.] What sort of characters would you inherit abilities from in a place like that?

[grandduchess_anya]

There are plenty of characters who hail from myths, legends, fairy tales, and old stories. The character I got during my time in there was Vasilisa the Beautiful: she is a character from the myths and folklore of my country.

I did got some resistance to fire and offensive magic along with carrying a magical wooden nesting doll and weaving fine flax threads.

[ There's going to be a large, armored figure standing just outside the door-- too large to enter, in fact, given that the typical ceiling height of buildings is a whole foot less than how tall he stands.

And so there's a hefty knock upon the doorframe just outside, calling to whomever may be within the shoppe. ] Hail, Seamstress.

We require your services.

Oh hello there, just wait over there, I’m going outside to meet you.

(Anya soon stops her current tasks inside to attend to a fully armored person outside. Her eyes aren’t joking around: the suit the person is wearing is really that tall and imposing. Judging from the suit’s appearance, she has taken in the fact that her new customer might have been in battle before coming to Reverein.)

Why yes, you have come to the right place. I can see that you are looking for some stuff in this shop. Do you have anything in mind to look for? I can even bring some of the clothes for you to choose from.

[luciing]

[ His hand lifts, slowly, in a silent gesture for her to pause-- or, perhaps, in a dismissal of the offer of clothes. When his hand lowers, he speaks again. ]

Leather belts, ropes, and bridles for creatures that are horse-sized. Do you make them?

[ It's a seamstress' place, not a hunter's, but seeing as there are very few other places to shop, this is a good as place as any to check. ]

[grandduchess_anya]

(Now Anya is well aware that Madame Blackbird doesn’t sell ropes or horse bridles in the store, but maybe she can try to make belts and bridles the man is looking for to the best of her ability. She might be new to making belts and horse bridles, but it doesn’t mean that she won’t try to help a customer out.

Besides, she hasn’t checked if there is a hunting supplies shop in the town to begin with.)

Hm, I don’t know if we usually sell them in the store, but I can try to make some belts and bridles if you want to, Sir. It might take a while to get made them and I haven’t tried making them before I started working in here, but I’ll do my best to accommodate your request. And I do think that there is also an unopened box of ropes in the backroom.

[luciing]

[ There is a slight lift of his head. ]

I would see the ropes.

[ Anything would be useful at this point. ]

[grandduchess_anya]

(Anya clearly wastes no time as she heads back inside the store and into the back room, she then begins to pry open the box to grab the ropes, which didn’t take too long as she is able to use a crowbar to get that thing to open.

Once that was done, she gathers up all the ropes with her hands and arms before she returns outside to bring the ropes to the armored man as requested.)

Here you go, hopefully these ropes should do the trick.

[luciing]

[ He crouches, leaning forward and raising a metal-clad hand towards the selection she provides. In silence, he appraises the materials, grasping one within his palms. When he's done, he stands. ] Ten of these shall do.

What would you have as payment?

Right now, we don’t have a concrete currency system, but I can accept anything as payment for the time being. I’ll even accept some food for my dog as well.

(Granted, it will take a long time for a better currency system to take root in Reverein, but Anya is willing to accept anything right now as she gives him ten ropes, even scrap materials she can use for making clothing or dog food for Pooka.)

[luciing]

[ He appears to consider her request, and then his hand lifts. Somnus brings out a small, glass vial-- appearing like this. ]

I offer you a healing concoction.

[grandduchess_anya]

Oh, why thank you. I’ll take it. I do think that this could be very handy to use someday.

(She happily takes the healing concoction vial from him and carefully puts it into her pocket, she’ll put it in her satchel once she gets back into the store later.)

[ Once the exchange is over, he takes his leave. ]
