[Semi-Open] Recovery is a Process
Who: Roxas and You!
Which: Semi-Open Log
Where: Roxas's Treehouse, around Town, the Wild Harvest
What: Roxas is recovering from becoming a wisp during the event
Warnings: Mentions of last month's event, but otherwise will tag specific CWs
Home Recovery [Closed to close CR]
[There were many who had fallen when the Story Eater had attacked, and unfortunately Roxas had been one of them. It had been a harrowing experience, being reduced to a wisp that had been overwhelmed by everything around him, and though he had eventually recovered his body his emotions still need some time to recover. So for the first week or so after the Story Eater has been officially sealed, Roxas spends most of his time recovering in his home. He can be found here often, just trying to get his strength back and rest. He has fought difficult battles against fierce opponents before, but this was something that had struck a bit too close to home for him. So he decides to stay home, recovering both his body and his heart.]
[While he doesn't really take many visitors during this time, he will accept drop-ins from those he knows. And as he starts to feel better, he'll try to venture out and pay a visit to his friends, knocking on their door and offering a small smile.]
Hey. I just wanted to see how you're doing.
WISP Anonymous
[Eventually, Roxas hears about the recovery program for those who had been transformed by the events that had occurred, and he decides to check it out. It's relieving to hear others have gone through what he has, and feels comfortable in the solidarity and support that's being offered. Though he's kind of bad at sitting still and meditating, he finds the yoga to be relaxing and a good way to stretch out his muscles. Come to think of it, it's been a while since he last sparred with someone... maybe he'll do that sometime soon.]
[Eventually, during a break in between meditation and yoga, Roxas will be taking a seat and drinking some water, watching one of the other classes. After a while, he'll turn to whoever he's sitting near.]
It's kinda nice that they're doing this for us. I thought it would be a little silly, but it's nice seeing everyone come together like this.
The Wild Harvest
[As the days progress, Roxas ventures out more and more, and eventually makes his way to the Wild Harvest. He can see the damage that the place has taken, but they're still offering some nice food for people who stop by. He will order some food as it's available, enjoying the bunny pancakes and flowing noodles. He'll observe the flowing noodle stand for a while, just marvelling in how it works.]
This is... normal? People really make noodles like this?
[He doesn't sound grossed out or insulting as he asks, but genuinely curious. He kind of wants to try some.]

Home Recovery
[ Considering what Ienzo had learned happened - Roxas was one of the people he was most concerned for. He's going to head to Roxas' home and knock gently first, hoping he'd get some kind of answer. ]
[ If only he could've done more to support the others, maybe Roxas wouldn't have ... ]
no subject
Ienzo?
no subject
[ Ienzo's relieved to see Roxas. He knew know that death apparently ... wasn't permanent? But still. His voice was gentle. ]
I hope I'm not intruding, if you're not prepared for visitors.
no subject
No, it's okay. You can come in if you want.
[Honestly, he's been missing people, kind of. He needed time to sort through his emotions, but now that Ienzo is here, he's feeling glad that the silence of his home was broken up. Ienzo will probably notice that Roxas looks more tired and a little gloomy than usual, but he's at least up and about and not hiding in his room.]
Do you want anything? Food, water... I have ice cream?
no subject
[ - but he chose to use his ability to notice such things for good, instead. He ducked his head down and considered his options. ]
I'd share some ice cream with you, if you're in the mood. [ Something to bring his friend hope. ]

Home Recovery
After everything, she's had her own need to recover. Despite more than a little desire to see how everyone else is doing, she's elected to keep more of her distance than she otherwise might in light of losing control of her powers, no matter how briefly. So when she hears a knock at her door, she's - not quite prepared for it, but neither is she prepared to ignore it. Her brow is already knitting even before she opens it, and upon seeing him... ]
Roxas?
[ There's this step she takes - just one, forward and without thinking about it, as if she might come to join him on the front walkway. She catches herself just in time, hand tightening around the edge of the door, and she's not quite sure what she meant by it. (She's not the hugging type, doesn't even recognize the instinct, but the look she gives him is just as searching and intent as the gesture would have been if she'd followed through with it.) Exhaling as she remembers herself, processes the rest of his words-- ]
-- Oh. I see. [ Cautiously, she offers a smile in return - a little bashfully. ] I've been... I'm doing okay.
[ The delay between both parts of that sentence, though, says there's probably a whole different story in-between them. ]
But I-- think I owe you an apology. I should have been the one coming to ask you that, after...
[ What happened to him. She at least had the benefit of not turning into a wisp, no matter how close a thing that might have been. ]
no subject
[He does, however, notice the way Naminé droops a bit as she speaks, and can see her struggling as well. So after a brief pause, he ventures to ask her a question.]
Do you wanna... sit and talk about it? I could get some ice cream.
[Because ice cream helped solve all of life's big problems.]
no subject
Please. I'd like - to hear anything you have to tell me about what happened.
[ Or rather, she wants to hear it; whether or not she'll be happy to is a different story, and she has no illusions that it'll be a positive one. But the listening is as important as the information, especially when Roxas is someone she wants so dearly to look after well. (Having failed a few times already, the least she can do is help pick up the pieces afterward.) ]
no subject
[Roxas nods to her, but the relieved look on his face says more than his one-word reply does. It's most definitely not going to be a happy conversation, but getting it out will be better than not.]
I'll just go and grab some ice cream and then we can... talk about it?
[His home isn't far away, he can run and grab some quick. Or unless she has any?]
no subject
I'll wait. [ Still, she can at least offer, a touch sheepishly, ] And if it's the kind that needs bowls and spoons... I've got those, at least.
[ Seems better to contribute something, if anything else is required. ]

Wild Harvest, if that is okay?
Okay, to be fair, food tended to knock any thoughts out of her had, dark or otherwise.
She had been ordering a bowl of noodles when she heard the question. She blinked confused, then looked into her bowl and smiled. "Lt's try them and see how they taste!" she said to him. Noodles were one of those super yummy foods she was learning could be super yummy in lots of different ways.
For the moment all depressing thoughts were forgotten in favor of noodles and someone she was already sure would be a new friend. Because nearly everyone was, eventually!
Home Recovery
Roxas will find the door in the tree is open and climbing the stairs will put him in a living room/kitchen space and he'll be greeted by a small snowman who is used to visitors, although Mezzo was expecting Ienzo. No matter, Mezzo will show Roxas the trick to getting to the locked door to Demyx's inner sanctum, so to speak.
The knock isn't that surprising, but like the snowman, he was expecting Ienzo who has been checking on him every day. He comes to the door, looking tired, but he's surprised to see Roxas. Well, he had told Roxas he'd get a tour someday, hadn't he?
He flips the lock and slides the door open. ]
Oh, hey, yeah, fine. Alive and all that.
[ He sounds gloomy but tries a smile. He's too tired to put much into it. ]
no subject
[He enters the open door and makes his way up to the bedroom door, led on by the strange snowman's urging. Once he gets there, and Demyx opens the door, Roxas offers a small wave.]
Good. I'm glad. Me too.
[He says it as a joke cause, well... at least he ain't dead anymore?? Still, he notices how gloomy and tired Demyx look, so he offers a sympathetic smile.]
I was wondering if you needed anything. You know, like, food, or ice cream, or...
[Someone to talk to, maybe?]
no subject
I'm not that hungry and Ienzo keeps bringing me food.
[ But he has been eating it, because Ienzo would probably be upset if he didn't. ]
Mostly just...hanging out here I guess.
no subject
You had a rough time too?
[He can tell that Demyx is a bit caught off-guard, and he doesn't wanna push too hard. But he also wants to make sure Demyx is doing okay, and he looks... a little not.]
Did you... wanna talk about it? I find it helps, or... at least it does for me.
no subject
[ He offers a little half shrug at that but then he blinks at Roxas' offer and considers it. ]
Uh, I guess. It's not that... [ Important. Interesting. Roxas could pick either one. ]
Come on in. [ He says, and lets Roxas come in properly if he wants. This part is less open looking, the mundane look of the front facing 'house' makes it seem all the more sterile when compared to back there. His bedroom, which the door is open, is a splash of colour, each room seems to be a different shade of purple or blue, there are fairy lights dangling from the ceiling. It's comfortable.
The room he's taking him to though, is truly his favourite. It's got a huge plush couch, and a stack of messy papers near the one end, not a big one just it looks like he's dropped them there. The wall across from the couch is entirely windows with an amazing view of the area. The walls are beige, definitely not white, and there are several cushions on the floor.
Demyx flops down on one end of the couch.]
You can sit. [ This is his music room. The pages are made of staff paper. ]

in his own home.
he knocks on the door when he gets there, then says just loud enough to be heard on the other side:]
Ice cream delivery.
no subject
Hey...
[He looks tired, and a little droopy. But he perks up a bit when he sees the ice cream.]
Sea salt?
no subject
he holds it out to him.]
Yep. I can always get you more, if that's not enough.
no subject
[He's gonna accept the ice cream readily, feeling the coolness from the container. He looks down at it for a moment, then up at Riku. For a moment, he's quiet, studying the other teen before him. Then, he vaguely gestures behind him with his head.]
Do you... wanna share some? I could use the company.
[He doesn't want to admit that the house has been a little quiet for his liking.]
no subject
[Roxas can have it all he wants of the ice cream.]
But I'll give you some company, at least.
[and he'll enter, if Roxas is letting him in.]

Roxas...! I wanted to see how you're doing.
[Reverse uno card. Sora's hugging Roxas like he's a balloon that he's going to pop.]
no subject
[He was just trying to nap?? When the heck did Sora get in?? Not that that's a surprise, his treehouse door opens just as easily for Sora as it does for Roxas himself. But despite the surprise of the sudden hug, once he's fully awake Roxas shakes his head and settles into Sora's hug.]
Hey, Sora. I'm alright.
[It's said a little exasperatedly, but that tone is betrayed by how easily Roxas curls beside Sora and gets in comfy. Looks like Sora's Nobody is still a bit touch-starved.]
Feels good to have a body again, at least.
no subject
Yeah. I'm so super glad you're okay.
[Sora lets out a breath of relief. He's been worried and scared this whole time. So the moment that Riku and Roxas came back... It's just such a relief.]
That was really scary.
no subject
Yeah... I thought I was going to fade away again.
[In this position, Sora might not be able to see his expression. But by the way Roxas seems to bury his face against Sora's shoulder, seeking out what comfort he can, it's clear that experience frightened him.]
Thanks for finding me... I really didn't know what was going to happen to me. Everything just... felt like too much. I was feeling so many emotions... It was overwhelming.
[For a Nobody who didn't fully understand his own emotions, suddenly being bombarded with so many all at once? It was like being thrown into an ice-cold lake.]
