Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. Arashi hears her name and "food" and just mews. Food! Yes please.]

[Never.

But now that Heizou has Arashi's attention, he happily reaches out to pet her again as he heads toward all the food. Fish for kitty time!]

I realize you don't need to eat, but there are lots of tasty things to try if you're interested~

The only reason I eat is because I enjoy it. [So yes he's interested.] How much of this is sweet?

Not much of it, actually. And they're quite easy to spot. Is it only sweets you dislike, or are salty flavors a problem as well?

Sweets only. They make my teeth feel heavy and thick and--ugh.

[He shudders.]

No, thank you. The more bitter, the better.

[Heizou chuckles.] Man alive, that's quite a colorful description!

Well, getting something on the bitter side might be a problem. There's plenty on the salty spectrum... There may have been some steamed veggies, if any of those are to your liking!

Salt is fine.

[Wanderer you are the salt, you do not need more salt.

He looks around at the spread of food. Hm.]

What would you suggest?

[Heizou puts his hands on his hips while they survey their options, his head tilting slightly.]

Well, let's see... Personally I really enjoyed the burgers and hot dogs. [He points them out with a gesture of his hand.] They don't match up to a good serving of katsu, but I quite liked them anyway! Even though the hot dogs seem... a little on the nose for this event~

[Get it? Do you get the joke, Wanderer?]

The kettle chips were very good too, definitely more salt-heavy than the others, but they make for a good side. And since sweets are off the table for you, having some of the veggies to cleanse your palette at the end could be nice!

[Anything Heizou may have said after the hot dogs is ignored as Wanderer just gives Heizou a Look. In this moment, he is very much the creation of Ei with the aura he's giving off.]

Did you really just make that joke?

[That reaction makes Heizou laugh, clearly way too pleased by it.]

I felt like I had to! It seems far too obvious to have not been done on purpose~

They're sausages. If it was done on purpose it was because people like them.

[He shrugs.] It could also be both!

More importantly, is there anything here you'd like to try?

[He glances around at the food before reaching for a burger...and a bottle of a sauce that promises to be very, very spicy. He's rarely had spicy food, and he kind of wants to try it. Given that he isn't human, he should be able to handle something like this easily.]

[Well. That certainly piques Heizou's interest. His eyebrows arch upward in surprise as he looks from the label on the bottle to Wanderer's face, as though making sure he's made this selection on purpose.]

..Huh. You didn't mention you had a taste for spicy food, too!

I don't know if I do or not. I guess we'll find out, won't we?

[And he moves to prepare his burger with this spicy sauce. Surely it won't be too bad, Dottore did much worse than make him deal with spicy food.]

I guess we will!

[But now Heizou is watching him with great, deeply vested interest. He even loads up another plate of kettle chips to munch on while he does so.]

[Why are you just getting chips, sir? Whatever.

He doesn't go overboard, just a normal amount of the sauce and a normal, sensible bite.

His face goes bright red almost instantly and he starts coughing, looking around for something to drink or otherwise save him from this hell.]

[Sorry, Wanderer. Heizou's lips fold in on themselves to hold in his laughter when he sees the color come rushing up into his face. He still has a mouthful of kettle chips, after all, and he doesn't want to spit any of it out like that. So he has to work all that down before he can start laughing.

But it's incredibly obvious that that's what's about to happen.

Unfortunately for Wanderer, the best options to deal with that spicy mouth are the nearby yogurt cups or the rainbow popsicle sticks. Pick your poison~]

[The yogurt is at least dairy, that will do the best. He scrambles for one that promises to be lime and a plastic spoon and just.

No one say anything about how quickly he's shoveling a spoonful in his mouth okay.]

Ugh...

[Heizou is finally properly laughing, but at least it's not the kind of raucous and loud that it might've been if he hadn't had his mouth full earlier. But it's still laughter, and it takes a moment for Heizou to get the last of it out of his system.

When it does, he just gives Wanderer a hearty pat on the shoulder, still grinning playfully.]

I honestly didn't think your reaction would be that extreme! At least now you know-- No spicy food for you~

[Wanderer just glares at Heizou, once again channeling his creator in that single look.]

It isn't often I have new experiences at my age. That's all.

[He's completely unfazed by that look. He just keeps smiling right back at him.]

Is that something you'd like to change? I'm sure we can find plenty of new things for you to experience here!

Maybe it is. I doubt there's all that much here, though.

This is a world of dreams. You never know what may happen here next!

And don't forget, new experiences with people would still qualify. Keep opening yourself up to us and you just might be pleasantly surprised~
