What: After some discussion over the journals a few people decide to band together to have a Pride Picnic to celebrate. This is backdated and takes place in early June before the test drive meme and player plots. Feel free to post your own top levels and tag around! Happy Pride!

Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

Prompto did not have a great time with the Story Eater, but after some time to recover and get in the right headspace, this was an incredibly welcome distraction. He was all smiles. He'd visited the face painting booth and gotten a pair of flags on his cheeks in lieu of the fact he didn't get to get all dressed up this time around.

I. Snacks

He could be found sitting down in the grass with a selection of different treats on offer with a bright smile.

It was festive enough, he was hoping not to have his anxieties rear their ugly head. Anyone coming close might just get waved over.

"There's room to sit here!"

II. Icebreakers

Sitting across from Prompto and proposing the game would get a shy smile and he nodded. "Okay, uh, yeah sure." He grinned.

"So...." He thought for a moment. "I can run fifteen kilometres on a regular basis, I love to fly, it's the fastest way to get anywhere and I took my last final of second year high school hungover."

III. Wildcard

Senku was lightly strong armed into attending by Gen, lightly because he put up a token complaint but not much else. He wasn't the biggest fan of crowds and parties, but there was very little he wouldn't do for Gen. With his consultation, he was using his amulet that he received from the Masquerade upon his arrival to change his look.

He was dressed in a fun t-shirt and a tan kilt, with boots that were more village style than what he came in with. Prominently displayed was a thick rope tied around his waist where the waistband of the kilt is and this rope is interlaced with both red and purple strands woven into it. It was probably the most casual anyone would've ever seen him, and the first time in a long time his rope has been on full display.

I. Food and Drink

Senku had no problem partaking in pretty much anything on offer and even if he didn't like something, he'd eat it without complaint, that was just how he was.

However, the romantic paopu drink's story made him roll his eyes, but he'd still take one, but it had a certain someone's name already on it. He wasn't looking for volunteers to share.

He could be found kind of at the edge of the festivities with his plate. He was glad enough to chat with people but he didn't want to be too surrounded.

II. Icebreakers

He snickered at the question of playing what was essentially a drinking game back in the day. "Okay it's pretty hard but...Never Have I Ever...graduated high school." Senku grinned.

Time to drink up, new friend, possibly. He was sticking to nonalcoholic drinks this time around.

Nico's a little overwhelmed. He did this. He and Sora did this. Made a Pride Picnic for Reverein.

He's dressed in jeans torn off at the knees, a sleeveless black shirt with a rainbow ribcage on it. He's a little fidgety. Not sure what to do. He used to be better at this, talking to people.

But he's had bad luck with people the last few years, and he's putting himself out there. Announcing to the world that he's gay with this. He takes a breath and takes a step to join the party.

I - Food

He's not sure what paopu fruit was, and the neon yellow color is a bit off-putting. But it smelled okay. The burger, on the other hand, was half gone. He loved burgers. And chips. The kettle-cooked ones were crunchier than normal chips and tasted better! Who knew you could make chips like that?

He's probably got some bbq sauce on his face with how fast he's eating.

II - Icebreakers

He blamed the damn unicorn for pushing him into this circle of people. He shifted as he tried to think about what he needed to say for his turn in "Never have I ever."

Grimacing, he said, "Never have I ever... hugged a stranger."

[yeah, the food was good. the drinks were good... but since he's finally starting to feel something again, he picks up one of the water guns. now this is something he could do (hopefully) without wearing himself out too bad.]

[Riku's kind of had his fill of icebreaker games after the truth or dare game he'd played with Ienzo a little while back. but someone might see him being nosy as he ends up shuffling through them anyway, before making sure he wasn't seen and. y'know. just tries to make an exit really quick before he could get roped into one--]

A. FACE PAINTS!
(( ooc: feel free to hand-wave getting facepaint if you want - or, if you want to talk to Gen: ))

"Oh! Hello there, my dear! Please, have a seat. I can do whatever sort of design you'd like - pride flags, or just a generic rainbow, or if there's any other symbol or design you'd favor? It's all in good fun."

Gen was brandishing very brightly colored makeup and standing beside a high stool, beckoning the person over. He's wearing his usual clothes, but he had a rainbow of flowers as a crown on his head, and a bisexual pride flag on each cheek. "Of course, if you have any questions, I'm also happy to answer them! I know that this little celebration is pretty new for some people. You might be curious about the little designs I'm painting for people, too."

B. Bunny Buns!

Then again, if someone looked at him curiously while Gen grabbed food at the snack table - he would catch their eye and wave. "Hello, my dear! Are you enjoying yourself? I'd have to say, Nico-chan and Sora-chan have truly outdone themselves! Have you seen the crockpot yet?"

C. Icebreakers!

Gen was wearing a devious grin when it was his turn. "Mm. Two truths and a lie, is it?"

"Well then ... I'm a few thousand years old, I've been to the moon, and I helped bring someone back from the dead." Just. Try him, here, he's going to have fun with this.

A. WAKE ME UP INSI-

Shinjiro hadn't intended on being there. Honestly, he'd been catching a nap nearby - and then, in short order, he found himself being woken up by ... some kind of picnic? Some kind of thing with lots of people - mostly his age - wearing bright colors and festive outfits and why were those colors famili-

Shit. He winced, and looked around - maybe he could end up sneaking out gracefully, before someone caught sight of him.

B. CROCK OF SHI-

Shinjiro was pretty hungry, though, and he would end up eyeing all the treats on display before he left. To their credit, it all smelled pretty good. It made his stomach rumble, though ... pure grumpiness had him frowning at the crockpot, stubborn.

"What's even in this thing?" he muttered aloud, even as he was spooning himself a bowl.

A. Scientific Curiosity

Ienzo had a bemused little smile as he drifted through the crowd, taking mental notes. He's not dressed up, but he looked very interested in what was going on. It's a festival! But not like one he'd been to, before.

Well. Let's just get this out of the way first; Ienzo had never been to a festival before anyway. He'd read about them ... now he had to figure out what he was. Uh. Supposed to do when he's actually attending. Make small talk? With strangers?

This better not be like that faerie night court all over again.

He tried not to seem awkward when he smiled at someone who came near. "Hello there."

B. Ice, ice, baby!

Well, this was easier. Ienzo could play a game, and the rules were straightforward. ~~And this time, he wouldn't be embarrassingly drunk when he played them~~. This seemed safer and - hopefully more fun?

"All right, let me give this a try," Ienzo said shyly. "Never have I ever ... had a slumber party."

C. Snacks to go!

Before Ienzo left for the day, he made certain to grab some snacks in the table - getting an assortment of things, including the paopu drink in a to-go cup. But he's not eating any of them himself. Who is he grabbing snacks for?

D. WILDCARD! (( ooc: you know the drill, hit me up! hit me up! want to squirt Ienzo with a water pistol? ask him why he's not getting any face paints? poke me on plurk or on discord I'm always happy to plot! ))

[Ace never wears a shirt, rain or snow. Ok, that's a lie, he has worn a shirt once or twice here, but that's not the point! He feels so comfortable around everyone, after being low-key during the whole ordeal.]

[Being who he is, food is always an incentive to do anything. So he gets a bit of everything he can find, but stares a very long time at the bunny buns. He takes a couple, and with his plate full, he sits on one of the picnic blankets.

He's eating his snacks, and when he gets to the bun he stops.]

[For his part, Heizou has shown up at the picnic dressed incredibly lightly, with his vision attached to a rope belt that was slung low on his hips. He's surprised that he's actually having a pretty great time at this event, especially after hitting up the face paint guy and getting a rainbow stripe painted across his nose and cheeks. The variety of flags are new to him, after all, and he likes to think the matter of his sexuality is a little nuanced, so he sticks to the classic.]

I. Snack Time
[Fried food has always been Heizou's absolute favorite, so the hot stuff is what he ends up gravitating to. Much of it is still new to him, too, which really only makes it more exciting. He keeps coming back for more, especially the chips. Maybe you run into him at one such time, when he's returned to the spread of food to get another burger.

Or maybe you find him lounging on one of the blankets with a rainbow popsicle, people watching as he often does. Just enjoying a little sun and fresh air with a serene smile on his face. He's even still got some chips to share, sitting on a plate next to him, waiting for him to finish up with his cold treat.]

II. Icebreaker
[Normally Heizou would go for a game like two truths and a lie. But he's in a mood for something different today, so he opts for Never Have I Ever instead. Something about it makes him chuckle as he sits there with a cool drink in hand, trying to think up an appropriate response to get things started.]

Hmmm, let's see... Never have I ever... been to a pride event! Before today, at least~

[Zhongli has never been to a Pride celebration before, simply because in his world such things don't exist. In fact, he hadn't even been aware of the need to celebrate one's attraction to others of the same gender before speaking to Nico. Now with some new information under his belt, he's eager to explore this picnic and see what it's all about.]

Food and Drink
[Of course Zhongli is going to sample the food and drinks while he is here. He hovers over each and every snack platter and tray, accepting a little bit of each one and asking questions about them. It might be a little humorous to see this tall man studying the food so carefully.]

A hot dog? No, I don't believe I've ever had such a thing. And you can top it with all manner of fillings? I see... It does seem like a rather convenient food for one on the go. I believe I'll try one.

Icebreaker Games
[Icebreaker games are something Zhongli is aware of; it's seen as something of a business strategy among merchants to help get to know one another. So he does find himself observing the games for a while, mostly from a distance. But if someone is wanting to play a game wit him, he will nod and smile.]

[ Though the context behind this festival is largely lost on Asura, he can still understand that it's important to some dreamers from other worlds, so it didn't take much prodding from an acquaintance or two to rope him into helping out. He's not participating much in the festivities themselves, but he can be found here and there, helping with anything that needs a pair (or four) of strong arms. ]

Food and Drink

[ Most of his time is spent channeling his Inner Dad by manning the grill, cooking up burgers and veggies on a metal grate to keep all you kids fed. Per some insistence from a certain someone, he's without a shirt today... not that he ever wore much of one in the first place. ]

[ When he isn't busy cooking, Asura can be found around the area, helping out with whatever if anyone wants to chat him up for any reason. ]
