Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!


The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.


To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. [Nico's gotten his face painted too, a rainbow skull to go with the rainbow ribcage on his sleeveless shirt.

And he's trying very hard not to be rude by staring at Heizou's exposed chest. That's something he's not used to, having come from a time where if men went shirtless, they got arrested for public indecency. So there's a bit of red behind his face paint.]

Never have I ever... [He paused to think.] Been shirtless in public.

[Heizou is all but lounging at this point, cheerfully swishing his drink as he smiles at his current companion. He's noticed the light blush on his face, and coupled with the prompt he gives it isn't hard to figure out what could be causing it.]

Oh? You'll have to specify what you mean by "shirtless" for me. [He tilts his head slightly, a coy smile crossing his features.] I won't know what counts, otherwise~

You're not shirtless. Barely.

[He's not pouting. He's not.]

But I've never been that... bare either.

[He chuckles softly.]

Well, let's go with that then, shall we? "Never have I ever exposed my chest in public."

[At which point... Well. Heizou makes a toast to the sky with his drink before taking a sip of it.]

Does it bother you~?

No... I mean...

[His face turns even redder.]

I... wish I was more confident about it. [That he, you know, likes it, and that he could go shirtless too.]

There's no need to be embarrassed, you know!

[His smile softens as he puts his drink down for a moment.]

Confidence is something that can be worked on, at least. I know it isn't easy to stop caring so much about how you might appear to others.

It's definitely something I need to work on. [Said more to himself. He blew out a sigh.]

Okay, my turn? Umm... Never have ever... [Oh, what hasn't he done?] Had more than five years of public education.

[Heizou chuckles softly.] I wish you luck with that! Let me know if there's something I can do to help~

[And then that... catches him off guard. The look of surprise on his face is genuine as he blinks at his companion.]

Oh... Really? How in the world did that happen?

I fell off the grid and spent time on the street.

[He thinks about it some more.] Actually, I don't remember if I ever went to school aside from a few months at Westover.

[His head tilts thoughtfully, looking the other boy over carefully, studying him.]

I see... Seems like you've had a pretty complicated upbringing then, hmm?

That's an understatement.

[He grunts in annoyance.] Magical amnesia so I only remember the worst parts of childhood, being a stuck a casino for a month inside, but on the outside seventy something years happened.

Yes, I definitely see now how much of an understatement that was. I believe I met someone with a similar air about them some time ago... The son of a god, I believe?

[He gives his new friend a little smile, inclining his head just slightly.]

Would that happen to be true of you, as well?

[He squints at the other.]

Which one did you meet? Percy, Leo, or Jason?

[Heizou just keeps smiling. The name's of their gods are all unfamiliar to him; he'll take time to learn more about them someday.]

It was Leo, I believe! I suppose I should have realized that more from your world would be here. I hope you're all friends, as well!

Leo and I are friends with Jason. We're not friends.

[His mood turns a bit surly.]

[There's another tilt of his head, the slightest quirk of an eyebrow.]

Hm... I shouldn't have made that assumption, then. I only spoke with him briefly, but I can see how your personalities might clash.

[Nico barely gets along with other demigods. Apollo kids are okay, though.]

[Heizou's laugh is bright, practically throwing his head back as he barks it out.]

[He does a quick head count. Jason, Will, Kayla, Austin, and Annabeth. Did Percy count? Did siblings count as friends?]

Considering your specifically unique circumstances, let's say they only count if you were raised together as children.

[Leo told him all about meeting siblings and cousins that he hadn't even known about, after all. Gods from his world are clearly just... doing their own thing when it comes to having kids.]
