Kiss one another Die for each other We're cool for the summer

Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfireโ€” The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Donโ€™t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. Itโ€™s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just donโ€™t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. Itโ€™s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. Embrace your inner rainbow or tap into your imaginative side as you adorn your face with bright colors and whimsical designs. Allow the strokes of paint to transcend barriers, bridging gaps and forging connections that speak through the artistry of self-expression!

Happy Pride, everyone!

"Mm, well I can tell you it was relegated to legends and the kind of thing that in my time originally it was...well some of them well well-known, others were much less so. Mainly for people like me who wanted to put the research in. There would be people who remember, probably, but I doubt that's what they're thinking about." Senku admitted. "We have far more immediate problems to attend to, and those who are religious would likely worship the gods they believe in. The gods of that pantheon are considered out of date and don't really have followers anymore."

He hummed. "As to whether or not they are real people like they are in your life, I honestly couldn't say. It's a small pantheon compared to the cultural religion of Japan that had reportedly eight million gods. It would be impossible to know them all. Even for me."

"Actually," Nico said, his mood brightening. "The Greek pantheon is a lot bigger than people think. There were the Twelve Olympians, Lady Hestia, my Father, the primordials, and many minor deities that were personifications of things; strife, that's Eris, Triptolemus, who was a farming deity and a dick - he turned me into a corn plant because he refused to help my sister because of our father. And so many water deities, one for each river, lake, spring, and the like.

"Maybe it's not eight million, but it's a lot; many have been forgotten."

"Fascinating." Senku said honestly, because he was a sucker for lost lore. Why wouldn't he be?

"Triptolemus I remember being related to Demeter, but I couldn't tell you all of the deities linked to rivers, lakes and springs. Then again." He chuckled. "I couldn't tell you the eight million deities in Japan either."

"He's a dick," Nico repeated. "Most of the gods attached to Demeter are. At least to children of Hades/Pluto."

Gods couldn't really get revenge on other gods, especially if they were on the same level of power like Hades and Demeter were. So Demeter's favorites liked to pick on Hades' demigod children.

"Yeah, I couldn't either. A lot of have faded though, but ones like Thetis, are still around." He tilted his head. "Though Percy once mentioned that the Hudson and the East River had their own gods. Or Daimon at least."

"If it helps, my impression is that most of them were dicks at various points in time. The in-fighting and conflict between the Greek gods was really something." Senku commented. True or not, it was hard to say.

"Very interesting. I wonder why they didn't make as much of an impact in the historical tales."

"You're not wrong," Nico said. "And the cause of most demigods' headaches. Zeus is... uh, not fond of people questioning him. Even when he is wrong, he refuses to admit it."

Nico shrugged. "I dunno. A lot of them were local. A lot of nymphs can't wander too far from their home, so that's probably why; couldn't go on the adventures the others didn't. Lady Hestia didn't go on a lot of adventures either, but as the goddess of the hearth, she was extremely important. The hearth was the center of ancient Greek family life. It was where food was made and where the family gathered to spend time together."

"Hestia is well enough remembered, lack of adventures aside." Senku chuckled. "Hm, I wonder if the gods really did exist in my world all that time ago."

Then again, where would they be then? It was an interesting thought experiment. He couldn't claim gods were in his world since they were happy enough to let it turn out as they did.

"Only one way to find out. Look for them. If they're still around, they'd love to be found again."

Gods could be powerful, but even they had limits. They weren't almighty nor all-powerful, as much as they'd like people to believe.

"Sounds like a fun enough project, if I ever get free time. I'm sure Gen would get a kick out of that." Senku snorted lightly, but it was more amusement than anything.

"I think he would," Nico said. "He's pretty cool like that."
