Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!


The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.


To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. Embrace your inner rainbow or tap into your imaginative side as you adorn your face with bright colors and whimsical designs. Ah, yeah, I have. I've been here for almost two years now.

[Wild how much time has flown by, really. Him, Sora, and Vanitas have been here so long, it's almost like a second home.]

You're right. I've met a lot of really good people here. What about you? Have you been here long?

Two years! [Heizou looks both surprised and impressed.] That's a long time to be away from home, isn't it? Do you miss it?

I myself have only been here for several months now. It's been great fun, though!

Yeah, it is. And I was on another world before coming to this one. [So that's a grand total of three years away from home.]

I do miss it, and miss some of my friends too. But this place has become like a second home to us too. I'd like to go home and see my friends, but I'd also miss this place too.

[It was complicated. But he's content, for now. And also doesn't wanna bog down this conversation with sad thoughts. So he smiles at Heizou.]

I'm glad you've been having fun! I hope you have some friends here who've helped make it enjoyable for you?

[Heizou notices it, of course. He can see the conflicting emotion in his eyes while he talks about his time here. So even though he's curious about several things that have been mentioned, he has no real problem dropping the subject there.]

I've made some friends here, yes. Mostly ones that came here from the same world as myself, interestingly enough.

You've got some friends from your world here too?

[Roxas grins. He's glad that this guy has some people from his home who he can share experiences with. It's also something to connect with, really.]

I do too. In fact, one of them helped set this whole picnic up. Then again, Sora has a way of bringing people together.

[He shrugs one shoulder, still smiling serenely.]

I suppose you could say that... I'd never met them before arriving here, though.

[But enough of that--] Ah, Sora's a friend of yours? I've spoken with him a few times now. He seems like a pretty solid guy!

[twilightskey]

You haven't? But how do you know they're from your world?

[That's confusing?? But Roxas perks up at mention of Heizou knowing Sora.]

Yeah, he is! He's actually from the same place I'm from. [Kind of... If one counted Roxas being born from Sora's heart.] He's definitely a good guy. He's got a way of connecting people.

[He chuckles.] We have... a tell, of sorts.

[Those gosh durned visions...]

Oh, is he really?? It sounds like you're close, then.

[twilightskey]

A tell?

[That makes Roxas tilt his head a bit. Curious... but he nods at Heizou, chuckling a bit.]

Sort of, yeah. We're from the same place.

[The same place, the same heart... it's complicated.]

But I know him pretty well. You ask him to get a group of friends together, and he'll do it.

[Seeing that curious look on his face, Heizou smiles and tugs the vision on his belt forward, just enough to be able to show it to the other.]

They all have something like this on them. These are pretty unique to our world, it seems. So it's helped us recognize each other.

[He lets the vision drop into his lap once that's done, attention back on his popsicle.]

You seem to know Sora pretty well for being only "sort of" close to him~

[Spill the beans, sir. You're hiding something!!]

[Roxas leans forward and studies that Vision, his eyes a little wide. Wow... that's pretty interesting! And a pretty visual way to tell who's from your world.]

Woah... so it's like a Keyblade...

[Were Keyblades kind of a tell from his world? Maybe... But he blinks at Heizou as he makes that comment. Does... does he know? Roxas rubs the back of his head]

Well... It's a bit hard to explain, is all.

[Can he even handle the truth??]

[Now there's a word Heizou isn't familiar with. His eyebrows arch upward, giving the other a curious look.]

A keyblade? What's a keyblade?

[Though, perhaps more importantly-]

I have nothing but time at the moment, my friend! I'm all ears~

Oh--

[Roxas wasn't expecting to explain that, but maybe he can offer Heizou something. So, rather than tell, what he does is turns to face Heizou, before gesturing out with his hands. The motion summons forth his two Keyblades; Oathkeeper and Oblivion.]

These. I guess you'd call these our tell.

[He'll hold off on explaining the rest right now, so Heizou can have a chance to examine the Keyblades properly.]

[Heizou tilts his head, making an intrigued noise as he looks over the weapon. It's definitely safe to say he's never seen anything quite like those, so he leans in closer to take in the details. It's certainly of a key shape. And he can imagine that swinging those edges into somebody could hurt a lot, even though they're not blades in the way he's used to.]

Fascinating... And only people from your world have weapons like these?

[He'll circle back to Sora in a moment. You're not getting off that easily!]

[Roxas grins as Heizou studies the weapons.]

Sort of. Even in my world, they're pretty rare. But all of my friends all have Keyblades of their own. Some look a little different than this, but they're all key-shaped.

[He probably isn't, but here's hoping Heizou is thoroughly distracted?]

[He pokes at one of them with a finger, tilts his head this way and that like a curious animal, humming thoughtfully to himself.]

Are they unique to each person who has one? Can they be transferred to another weilder?

[twilightskey]

Well... sort of. Other Keyblade wielders can hold each other's Keyblades and use them, but I don't think you can give them to just anyone. Not unless they have the potential to.

[To prove his point, he'll offer Oathkeeper to Heizou, and he can pick it up if he wants... but if he does, after a couple of seconds, the Keyblade will flash and fade away, and reappear back in Roxas's hand.]

[He takes the weapon when it's offered to him, barely holding in the urge to spin it around in his hands. Not that it matters since true to form it vanishes quickly enough, and Heizou's eyes go big and bright with curiosity.]

Amazing! How do you know if someone has the potential to wield a keyblade?

[twilightskey]

Hmm... I'm actually not sure. I guess it depends on if your heart's strong enough.

[Honestly, he's not too sure himself. He looks at his Keyblades for a moment before dismissing them both.]

You might find out more if you ask Sora. [A pause.] Actually... maybe his friend Riku, or a guy named Ira. They might know more.

[He tilts his head just a bit, an eyebrow quirking.]

Oh? Is Sora something of an expert on the matter?

[twilightskey]

Sort of. He's got a Keyblade too.

[He figures it's okay to tell that detail; it's not like Sora really keeps his weapon a secret.]

But I think calling him an expert might be stretching it a bit. [He says that with a good-natured grin.]

[Heizou laughs at that.] I think I know what you mean~

[He's the reason Sora panicked about being a "troublemaker" after all...]

So is this how you and Sora know each other? Through your keyblades?

[twilightskey]

Well... sorta.

[Roxas's face twists into a wry grin.]

It's pretty crazy... are you sure you're ready to hear it?

[The smirk that crosses Heizou's face is broad. Eager. Excited.]

Man alive, don't tease me with a good time! Tell me everything. And leave out no details, no matter how crazy they are~

[Hoo boy... Well Heizou, strap in. Roxas gives him a light chuckle, before shrugging.]

Okay, well... I know Sora because I come from his heart.
