Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. Embrace your inner rainbow or tap into your imaginative side as you adorn your face with bright colors and whimsical designs. Sea salt ice cream...

[Nico looks confused for a moment, but sweet and salty is a common combination - at least he remembers finding chocolate covered pretzels in the garbage when he lived on the streets.]

Maybe it doesn't taste the same here because the sea salt has a different... thing? I dunno consistency? Than the sea where you live?

You think that's why?

[Roxas takes a minute to think about it, before shrugging and shaking his head.]

To be honest, I never really thought about it. I didn't even know there was different kinds of sea salt. I thought all oceans were similar. [He ponders.] Then again, I guess sunsets aren't the same in different worlds, so it makes sense sea salt would be different too, huh?

I dunno. Just a guess.

[He leans back, legs splayed out in front of him, resting on his hands as he looks up at the sky.]

They are different though. I've been to a couple seas, and they were different. Different types of fish in them. The ocean was deeper than the sea.

Really?

[Roxas turns a bit where he's sitting to give his attention to Nico a bit more, listening to him as he talks. It's always interesting listening to people talk about their experiences, especially now that he has the time to appreciate them. After a moment he hums a bit, looking up at the sky.]

Well... I guess that does make sense. I've been to different worlds, but I've found that none of them have the same sunset that my world has.

[That's actually not like what Nico's talking about at all, but it makes sense to Roxas; how different places may share the same thing, but those things still were different from one another.]

Do you live close to the ocean? In your world, that is?

[Nico nods. Every place he's been to has a different sunset. Even in the same place, every sunset is different from the one that came before it. The clouds, the sky, the moon, none of it is exactly the same as the day before.]

Sorta. The camp is next is on The Long Island Sound, which is leads into the Atlantic Ocean. Or part of it? I'm not sure how it works. Percy would probably know.

When I was younger, I lived in Venice which was built on a lagoon, on the Adriatic Sea. You could use canals to get places. It was beautiful.

[Roxas leans in a little as he listens, trying to imagine it in his head. He's been to a lot of weird places himself, and has seen some funky worlds through Sora's memories too. But a place where one used canals to get across everywhere sounds pretty interesting to him!]

It sounds like a real nice place. I bet it would be cool to see.

[Even a camp close to an ocean reminds him of Destiny Islands, in a way. He nods slowly.]

Where I'm from, we don't really have anything like that. But we do have trams that get us from place to place. And you can take the train from one end of Twilight Town to another, or to the beach.

Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

[He misses it. He didn't feel much of a draw to modern Venice when he visited with the Seven.]

I like trams and trains. Easy to just get on and let them take you wherever.

Sounds like it. If I go back home, I'll see if I can see it for myself.

[World travel isn't a surprising thing for him and other Keyblade wielders, so who knows? Maybe he'll be able to stop in for a visit sometime.]

Right? They're pretty nice to ride in. And you can watch the scenery when you ride. [He pauses, before chuckling sheepishly.] I, uh, guess that's one thing we both did?

[He scratches the back of his head.] This game is kind of hard. All it does is makes me wanna talk about the things I've done or listen to things others have.

[~~Well, Luca and Pinocchio both take place in Italy, so.~~]

Guess it is. [Nico smiles back and takes a drink.]

I think that's the point. It's a get to know you game. Or a get trashed game, but we're not drinking alcohol.

Get trashed?

[Roxas blinks at Nico, tilting his head.]

What's that mean?

[Yes, he's serious.]

[For his part, Nico doesn't seem to think it's weird that Roxas doesn't know what 'get trashed' means, as he only just learned of it in the last few months.]

Alcohol has the ability to make you drunk if you drink enough of it. It's... what did Will call it? An altered state of conscience.

Really?

[By Roxas's expression, it's pretty clear this is new to him... and pretty baffling.]

Why would anyone even want to do that? Isn't that bad?

It's not. A lot of religious ceremonies use it. I used it to take my friends through one of Father's temples, not with alcohol, but with poison. It was so that they could go through it without losing their minds.

And we have a god whose primary dominion is wine. Dionysus. He's kinda grumpy most of the time, but he's okay.

Like anything else good, it can be abused. But in moderation, or just once in a while, for a big party, it's fine.

Huh...

[Roxas listens carefully; he's never really been a part of such rituals himself, so he finds it interesting, if a little confusing. But he can understand the idea of enjoying things in moderation. So after a moment, he nods.]

Okay, I guess I understand it. I guess I just find it weird because I don't like having my thoughts messed around with.

[He's had enough memory shenanigans, he'd rather avoid more.]

That's fair.

[Nico takes a sip of his drink.] In Italy, it's hard to go for a meal without at least one glass of wine. Italy and Greece have a proud wine culture.

Really? Well, I guess every place has its own special food that it's known for, right?

[In Twilight Town, it was Sea Salt Ice Cream, in Italy it was wine, on Destiny Islands it was Paopu Fruit... everywhere has its own specialty, huh?]

Oh, before I forget, I'm Roxas.

They do. In places that are big, they multiple dishes.

[Nico smiles.]
