Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. Embrace your inner rainbow or tap into your imaginative side as you adorn your face with bright colors and whimsical designs. Allow the strokes of paint to transcend barriers, bridging gaps and forging connections that speak through the artistry of self-expression!

[Heizou's smile grows, just a little bit. He may not be able to see the glowing of his hair and tattoo, but there's no mistaking the fond affection in Venti's voice.]

Spoken like a true god of freedom~

[It's certainly also true that he feels inexplicably content in Venti's presence. Which isn't something he can say about many people in his life. It is something that pinged Heizou's intuition, immediately telling him that there was something different about the other that ultimately led to him figuring out his real identity. He's thrilled about that, of course, but it doesn't change the fact that he does feel... protected, somehow.]

...I imagine you don't all quite share that sentiment though.

[He means the other archons. Maybe Zhongli has some kind of protective instinct of Liyue, but over all Geo holders? And then of course there's the Raiden Shogun...]

Not that it matters here, I suppose.

Not all of them.

[Venti answers quickly with a small airy giggle on his lips. Although he's sure that Zhongli would still feel very fond of other geo users, Ei would... probably be completely disinterested. But he imagine Nahida would at least love speaking with other dendro users as much as she could.

But then Venti reaches out and very gently touches the tips of his fingers to Heizou's vision. It glows in resonance for a moment. Or maybe... Venti gives it a small blessing? It's a mystery.]

The wind is optimistic and uplifting. Adaptable and flexible! While I have no doubt in my mind that you'll find a world like this in the palm of your hand and find the harmony that it can give you, you are still one of Teyvat. And that's why I wish for only your happiness and the ability to see the world through creative eyes.

[It's not often that Venti says such "godly" things but Heizou has earned a little insight. But now it's gone as Venti hums and stretches his arms above his head.]

But now I'm finding myself... a bit parched.

[He watches Venti quietly through all that, head inclined ever so slightly while he listens and takes those words in. When he talks like that, it makes even more sense why Venti is the anemo archon, and that comfortable feeling settles right into his chest. For all that he belongs to Inazuma, there's no denying that Heizou doesn't feel out of place in this world and he has to wonder if that's because he really is as adaptable as the wind. And he doesn't know how vision holders are chosen, how or why each element gets assigned to the people who get them - he doubts anyone does - but what Venti says makes him grateful for his own special gem.

When the moment fades, though, Heizou can only smile. There's a fond sort of shake of his head, one hand idly reaching up to trace his fingers over the braid Venti left there.]

As expected of such a renowned bard. You have a real way with words! I think I'll go ahead and keep those ones close to my heart, if you don't mind~

[And since Venti seems eager to move past his "godly" moment of imparting wisdom upon him, Heizou will go ahead and do the same. He lets out an airy sort of laugh of his own, leaning back on his arms and crossing one leg over the other in front of him. The picture of relaxation.]

Oh? Has it been that long since you finished your last drink? My my, it seems your thirst is quite insatiable~

[And yes, he's putting that emphasis there on purpose. With a playful wink and everything!]

[It's exhausting for Venti to keep his "godly" wisdom going and going. While he means every single word that he says and cares deeply for those who resonate with anemo he really would like to go back to enjoying the lovely day and enjoying his time with Heiou along with it. ~~meaning he kind of wants to get drunk now~~

And he giggles as Heizou picks up on his hint just as easily. This is one of the reasons why he's come to adore Heizou so much and so quickly.]

Ehe! Far too long, I think! And that only means one thing, doesn't it? It's time to quench that thirst together! Shall we?

[He winks back playfully.]

[Heizou laughs again, head tilting in amusement and eyes dancing. He'd been teasing initially, fully expecting Venti to be using this as a means to excuse himself from his company and go grab some more alcohol. He's kind of used to that treatment, after all. But he likes the way that wink makes him feel, and the invitation to go along with him is pretty enticing.]

Careful now, you just might end up draining our hosts' stock!

[He gets to his feet, doing a little stretch of his own with a soft, pleased groan.] I guess I can go along with you. Just to make sure you stay out of trouble~

[Venti is spending some quality time with Heizou right now so he wouldn't leave him just yet! Maybe later when he has a few other faces he'd like to go speak to but for now he would like to spend a bit more time with Heizou and enjoy a nice summertime drink with him.

Venti swirls himself to his feet as well and gives an easy-going stretch.]

Ehe, a drink or two more and I'm sure even you would turn a blind eye to a little bit of harmless trouble, wouldn't you?

[He gives Venti a cheeky sort of grin, moving closer so he can lock arms with him.]

So long as it's actually harmless!

[Heizou has a mile-long mischief streak of his own, after all.]

But I could also certainly use something to drink~

[He'll happily lock arms!]

If it's not I'll hope you'll do your best to arrest me?
