But instead of a kiss, his hands will grab at her sides and start tickling her mercilessly.]

Only for her scream to echo through the silent night around them when his hands squeeze her sides. On the ice, of all places, Eustace!? Hopefully he's holding onto her because she's going to violently twist and squirm in his arms that she loses her balance and has no choice but to yield to him, all of her weight slamming into him to keep herself from falling.]
Stopβ! Not here! This isn't how you do it!
[Yet, despite trying to sound stern, she completely fails through her loud, boisterous laughter, her hands pushing against his chest to get away.]
no subject
If you don't want to slip, tell me.
[His voice "sounds" menacing, but there is that smile and he's clearly playing as he continues to wrestle and tickle her.]
no subject
What do you mean? Of course I don't want toβ! Eustace—!
[It's not fair because she has no choice but to grab him!?!? Which leaves her more vulnerable in the end??? At least make this a fair fight!
And when he hits a particularly sensitive spot, she stiffens and screams, the half-cry half-laugh echoing through the trees before she stumbles.]
no subject
Still won't tell me?
no subject
No.
[Just give her a moment to catch her breath.]
... I might not even want to tell you at all anymore, after that!
no subject
[And now he's skating backwards towards the edge of the ice.]
Seems I'll have to find another way...
no subject
... Oh? You think you'll make me crack, do you? I'll have you know, I've bolstered my defenses over the years with you.
[No she hasn't.]
no subject
[And without warning, he scoops her up into his arms before turning around and suddenly turning towards a large snowbank.
She might have a few guesses where this could be going—]
no subject
Eustace, don't you dare.
[With a scolding tone, but that spark in her eyes completely betrays her.]
no subject
[Slooowly skating closer.]
no subject
You're coming down with me if you drop me.
no subject
[There's definitely a mischievous gleam in his eye, and she'll only have a moment before he suddenly kicks up speed for the last few feet—
And falls forward with her still in his arms so that he's on top.]
no subject
You dropped me.
[Not that she seems to mind because her arms are sliding around his shoulders anyway.]
... I can't get up, so now what?
no subject
[A laugh before he rolls over so he's no longer smothering her and she's on top. Of course, he's aware she's only in her dress, but the warmth shared between them should be enough to chase the worst of the chill away.]
no subject
... Mm. Tired already, then?
[She leans in just a little, her hair dropping down to drape around their faces, hiding them from the world as her lips hover just over his.]
no subject
[Just a quirk of his brow as he looks up at her.]
I feel you underestimate your husband.
no subject
[She reaches up to run her fingers through his hair, brushing it so that it falls back and away from obstructing his face, and so that she can press a kiss to his cheek right below his eye.]
Skated so much that now you're lying here in the snow. You practically fell yourself. Thinking I overestimated you.
no subject
In that case...
[He just flops his arms out to his sides, closing his eyes as if unmoved by her little touches and kiss of affections.]
I'll just stay out here.
no subject
Are you sure about that? It's kind of cold...
[And she's just going to continue showering him in those little touches and kisses and affection, moving slowly from his cheeks to his neck, her hand moving up to gently caress his ear. If he thought she was simply going to give up this time, then he thought wrong...]
Too bad, though... bet the tree is nice and warm.
no subject
And while he does crane his neck a bit to give her more access, and the feel of her touch on his ears is nice... He remains otherwise unmoved.]
Mm... But you know I prefer the cold.
no subject
[Just a feigned look of surprise as she pushes herself up again, her other hand trailing a finger up and down his chest.]
... So, you'll be fine if I just leave you here in the cold while I go... warm up?
[And now she's just going to start moving to get up... but will he stop her?]
no subject
No. You just have to stay here.
Or do a better job trying to convince me.
no subject
You're not exactly an easy man to convince, you know.
[In a very rare show of impatient affection, she gives his bottom lip a shy little nip.]
Unless you're going to keep me warm out here?
no subject
[Slowly his hands slide up from her thighs to her sides, teasing a small lift of her hem to bring it up almost to her hips before they let go.]
We haven't done that have yet, have we?
[A very dark, heated glimmer in his eye as he looks up at her.]
