[Open Mingle] Entry 003
Who: Kazuma Asogi, Soldier: 76, Susato Mikotoba and anyone else.
Which: Open mingle
Where: The Wild Harvest, located on the ground floor of Kazuma's home.
What: Soft opening for a small pub called the Wild Harvest.

A new pub has opened in Reverein, though the news is only being spread through word of mouth, or if people just happen by the place this month. Kazuma isn't exactly new to managing a pub, but he wanted to be sure he does it right this time. So he's keeping things small and simple, while the crew work out any issues that may come up during the month.
The place already has a much more welcoming feel to it compared to the Hydeout, like a quaint little neighborhood pub. Right next to the pub was a garden, part of it growing into the pub itself. There's a herb station setup if people want grab something else to add to their dishes, though at the moment, the selection is limited until they can grow more plants. There are garnish and spice noodle dragons also roaming about, and they will occasionally add a little extra to a customer's food or drink.
The menu itself is moderately simple, listing various eastern and western style street food dishes. There is also a note that reads: Can request something to be cooked off menu, as long as there are ingredients.
A sign has been put up near the entrance, listing the seasonal specials for the month.
Hot Chocolate (Alchoholic and Non)
Eggnog (Alchoholic and Non)
Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea
Meat Stew.
Roast Fowl.
Note: Meat will vary depending on what's available for the day.
Another can be found at the bar, this one being a "help wanted" sign. While Kazuma is satisfied having a crew he can trust, he could probably do with a full time bartender and bouncer. There are only three staffed at this pub right now. Kazuma is handling the front the best he can. He's not as conversive as his Hyde counterpart, but he'll try since he'll be the one most people will see. Occasionally 76 can be seen at the bar handling drinks, otherwise he'll be preparing the food along with Susato in the kitchen. A few times she'll peek out from the back to help clear tables, talking to the others during down time as she adjust to working a restaurant.
[This is basically an open mingle log for people to use the pub setting for whatever they like! Kazuma, Susato and/or 76 may also tag in, unless specified. Pub and garden area are open to the public.]

...I believe so as well. I've only met him a couple of times, but... he has a good head on his shoulders. [He definitely cares about his friends too, not to mention the responsibility of maintaining a pub like this.]
There's a sense of justice surrounding him.
[It's definitely one thing that's stood out to him as well. Maybe it helps to know that two of his friends are involved with the legal system as well.]
no subject
Still, he was trying, wasn't he? That much 76 knew to be true. Had a support system if he could get himself to reach out for it—]
There is, yeah. Hard working with that sense about him. Willing to learn new things- even if so far I've only taught him how to butcher something he's hunted.
[It was a good skill to have okay.]
no subject
It... surely has its practical uses. I've never butchered an animal before, but I'm aware that such a procedure is necessary.
[.....]
Have you thought about teaching him anything else in particular? Perhaps if I remembered his father more, there would be something I could impart him with, but...
[He looks uncomfortable for a moment, before shoving another spoonful of the stew in his mouth.]

The fact he was around here more often rather than never leaving the Wildlands? That was a big change, being closer to people more often. More noise was a bit of a comfort, at least.
His head tipped as the Garnish Noodle that perched on his shoulder nudged its head against his cheek, antler-like horns almost combing against his facial hair.]
Nothing he hasn't asked about, really.
[Was that entirely true? Not really, trying to impart lessons of mistakes he still repeated, but be better than him even in some revenge mission with that sense of justice.
That Kazuma had more left and waiting for him.]

He hasn't asked about any sort of relationship advice?
[He's joking, slightly. In the end, he is a gossipmonger and hearing about relationships is honestly the most exciting thing to him. He can pretend to blame his wife for that trait, but it's not her fault for this.
Also all these young people focusing just on fighting... he can understand that they're in a dream world now, but he thinks that Mr. Asogi would still be quite serious and dedicated to his work.]
no subject
No, and figure I'm the last person to give something like that. I gave up personal relationships for my job, since it'd be stressful for whoever was attached to me without a doubt.
[He and Vincent had broken up... not long after he knew what his course of life was coming to, and e couldn't do that to him. Vincent deserved peace, rather than having to stress and worry over his safety and whatever news people having a slow day, political egotistical assholes running some smear campaign, or paparazzi hounding at him.
Vincent had a happy life, an actual family. He hadn't entertained the idea of dating between then and now, anyone would be better off not getting attached to him- far as 76 was concerned.]
I'm god for teaching self-defense, how to handle most weapons, and probably cook up a mean stew of a good stack of flapjacks.
no subject
...Of course, he's sort of living that now in this dream world, but it's different knowing that she's still there. He's glad in some ways, similarly not wanting her to be in danger from the whims of this place.]
I imagine Mr Asogi would be far more interested in those skills than love advice. [He almost sighs here, but maybe one day...]
no subject
Had destroyed him after all, along with others because he just wasn't good enough to shoulder everything he felt he should have. That he simply couldn't do once he saw just how tightly his hands were tied before he even saw it.]
Likely, especially in a place like this. He doesn't do too bad for himself all the same.
no subject
Ah, I don't believe I've introduced myself yet. [It's strange how much socialization he's gotten since being here. Well, solo socialization, it's a bit different when he's out with his wife. This part he doesn't mind so much... it's nice in a way.]
...I'm Daley Vigil. Perhaps it's strange for customers to fully introduce themselves at a restaurant, but circumstances are wholly different here.
no subject
Reason I don't think it strange at all, really. [Shoulders shrugged as arms rested across the bar top in a fold, plenty of space between them as he kept a little to the side rather than directly in front of Daley.]
Most just know me as, and call me, 76. Works well enough.
[Easier that way, mostly.]
no subject
Just '76' then?
[He doesn't think calling him Mr 76 will sound correct, but this is definitely the first time he'd be addressing someone by just a number. The prisoners at Barclay weren't stripped of their names-- he's certainly glad about that, even if some of them were quite cruel, possibly deserving of that in some manner.] I believe I won't have trouble remembering that.
no subject
[It would be a long time, if ever, before he'd introduce himself by actual name. Only a couple of people would know it even now, something he'd felt was owed. Time would tell if that ever changed, or if there'd be the hurdle of 'John' in there to still keep some personal distance.
For now, just the number once assigned to him when he was young and dumb but full of hope and wanting to do something good.]
Perk about it, easy to remember.
