Where: The Wild Harvest, located on the ground floor of Kazuma's home.
What: Soft opening for a small pub called the Wild Harvest.




A new pub has opened in Reverein, though the news is only being spread through word of mouth, or if people just happen by the place this month. Kazuma isn't exactly new to managing a pub, but he wanted to be sure he does it right this time. So he's keeping things small and simple, while the crew work out any issues that may come up during the month.

The place already has a much more welcoming feel to it compared to the Hydeout, like a quaint little neighborhood pub. Right next to the pub was a garden, part of it growing into the pub itself. There's a herb station setup if people want grab something else to add to their dishes, though at the moment, the selection is limited until they can grow more plants. There are garnish and spice noodle dragons also roaming about, and they will occasionally add a little extra to a customer's food or drink.

The menu itself is moderately simple, listing various eastern and western style street food dishes. There is also a note that reads: Can request something to be cooked off menu, as long as there are ingredients.

A sign has been put up near the entrance, listing the seasonal specials for the month.

Another can be found at the bar, this one being a "help wanted" sign. While Kazuma is satisfied having a crew he can trust, he could probably do with a full time bartender and bouncer. There are only three staffed at this pub right now. Kazuma is handling the front the best he can. He's not as conversive as his Hyde counterpart, but he'll try since he'll be the one most people will see. Occasionally 76 can be seen at the bar handling drinks, otherwise he'll be preparing the food along with Susato in the kitchen. A few times she'll peek out from the back to help clear tables, talking to the others during down time as she adjust to working a restaurant.

[This is basically an open mingle log for people to use the pub setting for whatever they like! Kazuma, Susato and/or 76 may also tag in, unless specified. Pub and garden area are open to the public.]

[ Susato, with no actual experience working in a restaurant (unlike her two counterparts), does what she does best and channels all her nervous energy into keeping busy around the pub. Her main duties will be in the kitchen, of course, but since 76 seemed to have that handled to start, she starts from the outside, cleaning the main public area where they expect to serve the people.

Once she is satisfied, wiping down all the tables and sweeping the floor, she busies herself with the decorations. Namely, she can be seen placing a decorative replica of a Japanese sword on a small counter that's set off to the side, with the only addition being the red ribbon she has specifically tied near its hilt.

Because she already showed her hand by gifting Kazuma a ring for his return from the forest, she obviously had to find something else for Christmas; something for his new place of business instead. And she has to smile, seeing it in its rightful place.

She can't admire it for too long though. Once she is happy with that, she'll have to will herself to get back to her work, and she can be seen going in and out of the kitchen, multitasking her cooking and waitressing, which includes occasionally clearing off tables.

Whew! She's got this, right? Right. ]

[Kazuma will be your one and only server today, ensuring everyone who visits are taken care of, questions answered and meal prepared to their request. While not the most chattiest host, he's rather diligent about checking in on his customers.] How is the meal?

[If he's not handling customers, he can be found observing the dining area from the bar or tending to the garden. Should there be a new arrival, he'll be there to greet them as well.]

Early Bird - Before Opening
[One of the cooks, 76 had gotten in and gave the kitchen a good look over- and started prepping. A stew was easy, something that could be started early and then left to cook for several hours- which honestly? Was why he got in early easily enough.

So, he was at one counter peeling and cutting vegetables on hand, the meat that was being used already sizzling to help along the way, sliced onions and mushrooms around it along with a few more aromatics.

A Spicy Noodle was perched on his shoulder-]

Just be patient, you can season it again soon enough.

Eat & Drink - Fully OTA
[While 76 mostly goes unseen by spending a lot of his time in the kitchen, he can be caught going out to pick a few herbs and the like as needed. Have a few stews going once the initial one lowers as needed.

Can also be seen behind the bar as they don't yet have a bartender to pull that job. Hot chocolates, eggnogs, and handing out the tea only whenever Susato is a bit too busy to deliver those herself to someone sitting at the bar itself. Pitching in as needed.

At least the Garnish Noodle perched on his shoulder softens the look of a man still wearing the upper part of his mask somewhat. It there to add that last finishing touch to enhance not only taste, but appearance of whatever drink before it left his hand.]

So, what can I get you? [While manning the bar.] Both the cinnamon apple tea and hot chocolate will warm you up, if that's what's needed. Roast fowl is more than good, and the stew has been simmering, if you're hungry.

Like the menu says, might take requests otherwise.

[Gruff voiced, well trimmed beard not hidden as he'd removed the faceguard of his mask, gloved hand rested on the bar top. Doing his best despite preferring to remain out of sight in the kitchen.]

[Ryunosuke wouldn't have missed opening day for anything. He may not have any particular skills to offer when it comes to running or operating a restaurant but two of his dearest friends have put their hearts into making this place a reality so he wanted to give them his full support. He just sort of wished his full support was a little more useful than-- whatever it is he's doing just being here. He didn't know the first thing about interior design, but he liked to think he knew a good looking place when he saw it and this place felt cozy and inviting. Even more importantly than that however, everything smelled amazing. Even the unfamiliar scents he couldn't place seemed really appetizing.

He couldn't be happier or more proud of them. For all that this situation was, they were both thriving in their own ways. And his glowing pride and affection was infectious, feeding the garden's greenery, puffing it up to it's fullest and leaving it practically sparkling with vibrant life.]

There was never a doubt in my mind that this place would be pretty amazing, but-- even so. I have to admit I'm pretty impressed with just how well everything came together.
