Who: Venti & You!
Which: Open Log!
Where: Reverein, The Wild Harvest, outskits of the town
What: Open prompts for the month of May with Venti! Hunting for mirror shards, drinking on the job and sleeping outside.
Warnings: tba
[a. dream board: fae moon mirror]
[Venti usually isn't one for working hard. He's much better at hardly working. Yet, with the moon gone from the sky for as long as it has been Venti can't help but be curious about the happenings around it. What exactly happened to make the moon vanish and how were they simply going to build another one?
That is why Venti is up for hunting down the shattered shards of the moon mirror. They seem to have scattered all over the town and outside of it too so there are a fair amount of places to be checking. Venti stands with a finger to his chin as he ponders this.]
If the mirror indeed reflects light like the moon might we could find shards near bodies of water. Or we might find a flicker of them in the dark. Ehe! Shall we work together?
[b. the wild harvest]
[This little bard has visited many taverns in his long life. And visiting the ones in this place is no exception. Once he finds just the right moment Venti will sneak his way into the back of the Wild Harvest with quiet little feet. Sneaking and scooting his way in and sniffing the air for anything that is remotely sweet and wine-like.
Because he's going to steal some- of course! He has nothing to offer in return for the wine nor does he have any gold coins to give!
If he's caught? He'll do his best to act a fool...]
[c. outside in the trees]
[A nice breezy Spring day calls for a nice breezy day up in a tall tree. Venti can also be found outside enjoying the simple weather with his back up against the trunk of the tree and an old wooden lyre in his hands. His fingers gently pluck together a sweet sleepy tune as he hums a wordless song...
If he spots anyone curious nearby he'll smile and play for them or strike up a conversation. And anyone is welcome to join him up in this tree if they so wish! It's very comfy up here!]
Ya-hooo! Happy afternoon to you!
[d. wildcard]
[got something else? feel free to toss it down here! or catch me at
michrure for some plotting!]

So, when he hears that voice asking him if they should work together, he nods.]
Two pairs of eyes would work better than one, right?
[He tries for a grin toward his companion.]

[Venti is more than happy to find like-minded people! Finding the mirror shards seems like an interesting and important thing to do even if Venti is in it more for the curiosity factor. But he wonders what would happen if the moon never returned...]
Where do you think we should look for clues first? Perhaps the riverside?

[She only has Flight at the moment. But. Sakura does still want to help. If she can. Probably, going it with someone else would help. Would seem less suspicious? perhaps. In comparison to her going out by herself with Kero. The Guardian maintains his stuffed toy disguise, hiding in her little backpack when he sees Venti nearby. But, well. Given it involved the moon. She is curious. Does want to help, given her affinity towards the moon and it's power.]
Just tell me what to do! I can help! I can help look too!
no subject
[He giggles softly.
Although having a healthy amount of curiosity about this is a good thing. Venti himself is researching this mostly for his own reasons. How does the world truly work... Would a missing moon eventually make it collapse? Or?]
Why don't we start near the large lake outside of town?

So it should be no surprise that she chooses to help in searching for mirror shard pieces. And when someone (aka Venti) asks her if they should team up to find the shards, she turns to him and happily accepts the offer.)
Oh absolutely. We can cover more ground much more quickly and efficiently if we work together. Pooka is in all for this as well. Isn’t it right, Pooka?
Arf, arf, arf! Arf!

And while he listens he tries to remember the role of music in his life and...oh...someone wants to talk to him. And the first thing he does is pulling his hood over his head while his hand reaches for the mask next to him.
Still, he does move to look over his shoulder, now seeing a figure sitting up in a tree, holding a lyre.]
I rather hear you play your music.
[After those words he puts his mask back on because god forbid someone would look at his face properly.]
no subject
If that's the case I don't mind taking requests. Is there a song you'd like to hear?
[He's watching the figure down below with a keen glint in his eye. Venti is more than happy to play for an audience but he has to be curious about this one. Why hide his face...]

He watches the guy for a moment, his chin resting on his fist, and he can't help but smile. When the guy gets closer to his own seat, Ace will casually talk to him.]
What'cha up to?

[Was someone watching him all this time? Venti stops and tilts his head with a soft hum on his lips. He folds his arms behind his back carefully and eyes the man right back.]

She may have tossed one in her mouth as she went, but then she’ll hear the hissing of a garden snake friend of hers, coming from below.
Mid-chew, she glances down. ]
Hmm? …What do you mean? Where?
[ Looks like someone saw a certain thieving bard. In the following moments, Susato seems to follow it through the garden and out the back. ]

He's wiggling into the window just as Susato might follow towards the back. Slipping inside...!]

Good afternoon, Venti! It seems like you're enjoying the afternoon breeze, hm?
[ He takes a few steps closer to the tree. ]
What kind of song are you playing?
no subject
[Venti pauses his playing for only a moment to greet the other with a smile of his own.]
Just a simple tune I've been plucking at. I've been writing a song about the moon. Or more appropriately the lack of one.

Haha, hiya Venti!
[He waves up at the bard, smiling cheerfully. He approaches the tree.]
What are you doing up there?
no subject
[It's always a pleasure to see the boy in one piece and not tripping over some bad luck in his path. He hopes the day continues to bless the both of them with good weather and this nice breeze.]
I've been practicing a new song, ehe! Actually, would you like to help me?

Wait. Someone was already stealing his bit! Who the heck could be stealing his bit like this, he's supposed to be the greedy one here. Huff!!!
Very quietly he was sneaking up behind Venti, and when he was able to get close enough, with a grin he leaned in to whisper: ]
You're gonna be locked away for a long time, kid~

[ Alphen's only saying what Venti said first. Is that so wrong? He's eager to make new friends and talk with people. It seemed like a fitting greeting. ]
Happy afternoon to you too. May I ask what you're doing up there?
[ sounds like someone's having fun. ]

If I'll do, then... I'd be happy to try to help.

It'll be a nice little adventure don't you think, Sana?
[He taps his chin.]
Putting the moon back together... It's odd that we have to do such a thing in the first place.

He though he smelled something interesting. But when Emerald Carbuncle followed the scent, he finds someone acting a little strange for his liking. Growling quietly in suspicion, Carbuncle separates from his arcanist and follows after the bard. Merisia will catch on eventually; he can operate on his own for now. ]
