⨂ Eustace's Bach--er, Camping Party ⨂
Who: Eustace & all his male CR
Which: Semi-closed log, forward-dated to the weekend before the wedding (November 26-27)
Where: Out in a cosy clearing of the Wildlands
What: Eustace can't make up his goddamn mind, so he invites all the men he knows to his bachelor party. He intends for it to be a relaxed hangout, but...well. We'll see.
Warnings: Alcohol, underage drinking, ghosts, more to be added if they come up
» invitation
At some point in early November, all those named by Eustace (aka, every man Eustace has had CR with) will receive a short message from Trahearne over the journals:
For those who are reluctant, or want to go but can't find a good excuse, some of Eustace's dogs will appear at those characters' houses without warning to dognap them. The flower dogs can make use of vines for those who really want their characters to suffer for this party.
While any of the dogs may come to grab people, only the male dogs will stay for the party, of course. There will be 5 dogs in attendance total--4 corgis and 1 flower dog.
» campgrounds
» cabin
» nighttime
Treat this as a mingle log! The setting description above is just the stage--feel free to come up with games, have your characters bring things to add to the mix, play around with the things mentioned above. It can be as chill...or not as chill as you want.

At some point in early November, all those named by Eustace (aka, every man Eustace has had CR with) will receive a short message from Trahearne over the journals:
Hello. If you aren't aware yet, Eustace will be getting married this winter. He has invited you and several others to join him in a pre-celebration of the occasion called a "bachelor party." This will be held on Saturday, 11/26 at a location in the Wildlands (see attached map). Please bring food and drink and anything else you will need for camping.
No need to reply. If you are unable to attend for any reason, feel free to ignore this message. If you will be coming, we will see you there.

In the weeks beforehand, Trahearne and Beat went and scouted out a suitable little place for the shindig: A clearing in the woods flanked by a small cabin. The cabin sits nestled among the trees at the edge of the clearing. The clearing itself is sizeable--there's a place for chopping firewood, a ring of stones in the middle suggesting its use as a bonfire spot, and a grill built into the ground nearer the cabin.
The ground here is soft, but not muddy--perfectly suitable to sleep on. Beat and Trahearne made sure to clear away excess leaves from the ground to make things more comfortable.
The woods around the clearing are not thick, but they are still wilderness. There is abundant, if mundane flora to be found, and smaller critters that happily scamper around in the daylight. Who knows what lurks beyond in the nighttime... Better keep those fires going to keep the bad things away.
» cabin
The small cabin at the edge of the clearing is just that--small. It is comprised of only two rooms. The front room is a sitting room with a small kitchen, kept warm by a wood stove. Visitors to the cabin are free to make themselves comfortable in front of the fire on the couch big enough for three, or the large sitting chair by the window. The dining table only seats two, and it sits snug against the back of the couch.
The back room is home to the bedroom. Here, the visitors will find two bunk beds--enough sleeping room for four (or more if you wanna share i'm not judging). All the beds are made and equipped with soft, clean blankets and pillows. It seems whoever was here first was anticipating the party.
There is also another door in the bedroom, which leads to a closet. The particularly nosy will find all sorts of things useful for a cabin stay inside: extra pillows, blankets, tools for maintenance, an extra grill... You name it! Within reason!
On the outside, there is a stockpile of wood for the wood stove, and an outhouse. Just the one.
» nighttime
This is an overnight party, by the way. And when night falls, that's when the real fun begins.
As mentioned before, there is more than enough space in the clearing to create a big bonfire. But be careful--it's dry and windy. Take care not to unwittingly set any of the trees on fire. The ground is comfortable enough to sleep on (especially for those seasoned travelers), but for those who don't want to rough it completely, there are tents and sleeping bags.
The cabin is for those who don't like or can't sleep outside. It is comfortable and warm, yes, especially with all those others in the same room... But there's a catch. It's haunted. The ghost that inhabits the cabin isn't malicious, thankfully. It's friendly, in fact. Perhaps a little too friendly. Those sleeping in the cabin may find themselves poked and prodded into awakening at odd hours. Besides that, it's harmless. Promise.
Treat this as a mingle log! The setting description above is just the stage--feel free to come up with games, have your characters bring things to add to the mix, play around with the things mentioned above. It can be as chill...or not as chill as you want.

No, but it seems a strange time to do it.
[Suspicious.]
no subject
[And that is just more leaves falling down on you as Beat slips. Then slips again. But he's able to get his bearings and hold on.]
Whoops. My bad.
no subject
......]
Get down before you hurt yourself.
no subject
[You're going to have to do more than just try to talk him out of him at this point, Eustace. And it really doesn't seem like he's going to stop any time soon as he steps up on the next branch.]
no subject
But he doesn't.
Instead he just slowly folds his arms over his chest...and stares up, watching Beat through the dim lighting.
Yes, he's just going to watch this disaster unfold. Will he catch Beat if he ends up falling? Or will he just step the side and let him fall flat to the earth? WHO KNOWS.... Hope he doesn't fall.]
no subject
Beat lets out a groan from the fall.
And that's when another creak and snap as the branch begins to give. His hands grasp at air, trying to grab at something, anything, only to grab at a handful of leaves before he falls once again.]
no subject
And after wincing at that first impact, he ends up waving his hand and at the very last minute a large pile of snow appears beneath Beat. Of course, it's snow. It will only do so much. But it'll cushion it at least a little bit so he won't actually break his back upon hitting dirt.]
no subject
Somehow he is able to manage to raise his arm up into a thumbs up from where he lay.]
Thanks for the save, yo.
[And then he starts... laughing? Despite the initial pain, Beat has a bit of a dreamy look on his face, like he's not completely there. On closer inspection Eustace may notice that his cheeks are flushed and that he reeks of alcohol.]
no subject
You're drunk.
[That's all he says with a frown.]
Aren't you a minor?
[Maybe he should dump more snow on him.]
no subject
[He still chuckles as he denies what Eustace is saying, finally pushing himself to sit up with some difficulty.]
I'm almost 20, yo. It's aight.
[That doesn't answer the question.]
no subject
Could have fooled me.
[And have a large pile of snow suddenly falling on his head.]
Regardless you should stay here and cool your head.
1/?
[It's only when the snow lands on top of him that the laughing stops and he immediately starts to try digging his way out of it.]
no subject
[He has to stop for a second. Oof, he suddenly doesn't feel good for a second.]
no subject
done
Gimme a lift, I think I can get back up there hella quick with your help.
no subject
...]
All right.
[OH? HE'S AGREEING?? HE'S REACHING OVER TO GRAB BEAT'S ARM AND WAIST—
Of course he's not going to help. Instead Eustace twists his body to push against Beat's chest and yanks Beat's arm back to sling him back over his shoulder. With a thin sheet of ice forming right behind himself like a cape so if the kid pukes it won't get on him.]
no subject
Beat starts to slam his fists against Eustace's back.]
Yo, what the hell! Put me down, yo! I ain't some kinda baby!
[He's pretty much screaming all of this in Eustace's ear. But even that doesn't last too long as another bout of nausea rises, coupled with the was he was thrown over the man's shoulder. His voice is quieter as he speaks.]
Shit.
no subject
Aim for that.
[STILL WALKING well even if Beat misses he at least protected himself for the most part.]
no subject
I don't need it. I said I'm aight, didn't I? So jus' put me down—
[And that's when he feels it, the same woozy feeling that he had felt earlier, after he had stood up and when he was tossed over Eustace's shoulder. This time it wasn't going away. There isn't even a chance for him to cover his mouth before he is earlier complaints is replaced by the sound of regurgitation. Only half of it makes it into the bucket, while the rest splatter onto the ice cape and on the ground.
Guess he did need it.]
no subject
no subject
The kick and creaking of the door as it opened caused him to jostle in Eustace's grip.]
You takin' me to the cabin? Don't ya know it's haunted?
[Or at least he assumes it is. There was some weird noises when he had cleaned it up a while back and though they didn't hear any of that now, he wasn't going to take his chances. He starts to squirm over Eustace's shoulder, trying to free himself from his hold by pushing against his arms.]
Jus' lemme go, yo.
no subject
[That's all he says as he keeps a tight hold and continues to walk through, boots thudding against the wooden planks that creak beneath.]
Why, you afraid?
[Kicking open the bedroom door to finally give the relief Beat wants.
By dumping him unceremoniously on the bed.]
no subject
[And he's plopped onto the bed, knocking the wind out of him. But maybe that wasn't a good idea because that only makes him feel worse as he proceeds to turn to his side to throw up once more.
Sorry about your shoes, Eustace.]
no subject
Stay here. You can ask the ghost to help until I get back.
no subject
Wait, you don't think it's real, do ya? Yo! Wolfie—
[But that's cut off by another round of barfing. When Eustace gets back, he'll find Beat lying on the bed with his arm draped over his eyes, quietly groaning to himself.]
