[open!] you're only everything I ever dreamed
Who: The Kingdom Hearts cast + You!
Which: Open Log!
Where: The collection of treehouses that the cast has made! And other areas!
What: An open log for residents and adjacent CR to come and go. Top levels inside!
Warnings: tba!
[Now that the residents of Songerein are settling in it seems that a group of uncanny key kids (and a few others) have come together to make a nice little collection of connecting treehouses. The houses are dreamed up and put together with a patchwork of wooden bridges and boards and spruced up with fairy lights that glow and hang from the rafters. The treehouses are high in the canopies of thick trees and the balcony sections are open and breezy for any visitors to come to walk up the steps and see.
Down below the treehouses on the ground seems to be a rather flourishing garden of sunflowers. Where they come from or how they sprouted is still unclear. But it is joined with a rather chubby-looking chicken that pecks at the ground occasionally. Along with the grazing chicken, there seems to be a whoosh of dragonfly wings as a large dragonfly has taken to the treehouse as a home too. And what is this? It seems they might have a small collection of blue birds that won't leave the house alone. What other creatures are out and about?
Dreammotion energy seems to be strong around the treehouses. As the trees house a collection of boys with vivid and wild imaginations. Sometimes lights will flicker brighter or plants will bloom with various strange flowers. And the smell of baking chocolate and cookies is always in the air.]

A
Man, it smells really good... I can't wait to try them!
no subject
Yeah! This is going to be awesome!
[For science!]
It's also awesome that we were able to get this place set up like this, huh?
no subject
Yeah! Just don't burn it, okay?
[He means it in jest. If Roxas still had a tail, it would be wagging a mile a minute.]
Yeah, it's pretty great. Even if the tree tried to destroy me when I first got here...
no subject
[He grins triumphantly as the bacon sizzles contently in the pan. Just a few minutes more! And meanwhile, he has the pot of swirling hot chocolate gently bubbling in the pot. It's a good thing that Sora is better at these things these days. To an extent.]
Haha! What! Did the tree try and hit you or something? This is the biggest one we could find, though!
no subject
Pretty much! I thought it was attacking Kor, and so I might have shot fire at it... and it tried to attack me after that. But Kor calmed it down.
[Around them, the boughs sway a little, even though there is no wind. Almost as if in reply to Roxas's words.]
no subject
Here! Keep stirring the chocolate and don't let it burn! I'll finish the bacon!
[No pressure, Roxas!]
Wow, the tree really tried to fight you guys? I guess it's a good thing you guys made up with it. Are we friends with our house now?
no subject
[Oh geez, no pressure! Roxas nods and takes the spoon, going to stir the chocolate.]
It did, yeah. And I think so. At least, we aren't fighting anymore.
[Another shake of the nearby branches, as if the tree itself is nodding in agreement.]
no subject
Thanks, tree! Being friends with the tree is better than getting kicked out of it. Or whooped by a branch or two.
[Sora lets out a laugh.]
no subject
Yeah, I'd rather not fight with the place we're staying, you know?
[It sure was weird, but at least it seems like the matter had been resolved peacefully!]
no subject
Yeah. I'm just glad we're all together this time around. It feels better this way even if I know Vanitas is a little fussy about it.
[Don't worry, Sora will fight him.]
There, I think we should be almost ready to dip some bacon!
no subject
[Lingering instinctual echoes, perhaps? Who knew. But living nearby made Roxas feel comfortable, and that's all that mattered.]
Is it almost ready? This chocolate's making my mouth water!
no subject
[He gives the blond a grin. He has seen Roxas go apeshit over his friends, so...!]
Okay, let's do this! Wanna do the first part?
[He turns the burner off to the chocolate and pulls it off the burner. Now it'll be time to dip some bacon and let it dry and harder up on the rack.]
no subject
[So then maybe those dog instincts just amplified what was already there..? Who knew.]
[In any case, Roxas perks up, watching Sora bring the chocolate bowl over to the bacon.]
Sure! So we just... dip it in and eat it?
no subject
Nope, not quite! We've gotta dip the bacon into the chocolate to give them a nice coat but then we gotta let the pieces dry and harden on the rack. That way we're not just getting messy with sticky wet chocolate all over the place. Make sense?
[Hopefully Sora is a decent teacher!]
no subject
[Look at that! Sora can be a good teacher sometimes!]
Okay, then let's get going. I wanna eat this bacon!
no subject
Alright, here we go!
[Once the bacon has dried and crisped up they can start to dip the bacon into the chocolate. He hands some pieces to Roxas and then gets started on a few of his own.]
Easy does it!
no subject
[Roxas does his best to be careful, dipping it to make sure that there isn't too much or too little chocolate. A couple of the bacon pieces do break, but he just... puts them on the cooling rack anyway. Small pieces are good too, right?]
[Between the two of them, it doesn't take long for the bacon to be properly dipped in chocolate.]
I think that's about it..!
no subject
That looks good, Roxas! You're a natural! Just for that you better get the first piece.
no subject
[But Roxas is indeed preening at the praise. And aah, that bacon looks so good... he's so excited!]
[With Sora's insistence, Roxas reaches forward to take a piece, looking it over before taking a bite. Cronch.]
[Nom.]
[Nom.]
[And Roxas's eyes widen at the flavour.]
Mmm! Sora, this is so good!!
no subject
Haha! Yeah!! We did it! That's great that you like it, Roxas!!
[Don't mind as Sora takes his own piece and cronches into it too. Salty sweet and satisfying... So much that Sora has little yellow sparkles that seem to appear and twinkle around him.]
Yeah! This is the best! Nothing beats chocolate! Or bacon!
no subject
It's so good... how come we've never tried this before??
[He's going to help himself to some more. And there might be some orange twinkles around Roxas that he doesn't even realize are there, too wound up in the joy of chocolate bacon.]
no subject
[Sora grins warmly with a tilt of his head and then wonders how long it's been now that Roxas has been a real boy. His own self, his own likes and desires and dreams...! Now he can try anything like this stuff and find what he really likes. It makes Sora happy to look back on that.]
Nothing like trying something new, huh?
no subject
[And it's not like they could have after that final battle, what with Sora vanishing and all that. But he doesn't let himself get too bogged down in negative memories, swallowing his current piece of bacon and going to try another.]
Yeah, you're right. It's great, trying new things. [Monch cronch.] I got a little distracted with the transformation stuff in that other world, but I told myself I wanna try new things every day. New foods, new sights, new books... just, try all kinds of new things, now that I can.
no subject
[Sora is just so happy to hear Roxas say something like that. It might have been some time now since everything ended back home and they found themselves in places like Aefenglom and now this place... And even Sora doesn't quite know where his own fate lies if they ever go home... but this, all of this, is important.]
I'm really happy that I get to be here with you for it. If there's ever anything you wanna try and need a friend for it just let me know. Okay?
[He pats Roxas' shoulder.]
no subject
I will. Promise.
[Saying things like that felt easier now, after everything they went through.]
