[open!] you're only everything I ever dreamed
Who: The Kingdom Hearts cast + You!
Which: Open Log!
Where: The collection of treehouses that the cast has made! And other areas!
What: An open log for residents and adjacent CR to come and go. Top levels inside!
Warnings: tba!
[Now that the residents of Songerein are settling in it seems that a group of uncanny key kids (and a few others) have come together to make a nice little collection of connecting treehouses. The houses are dreamed up and put together with a patchwork of wooden bridges and boards and spruced up with fairy lights that glow and hang from the rafters. The treehouses are high in the canopies of thick trees and the balcony sections are open and breezy for any visitors to come to walk up the steps and see.
Down below the treehouses on the ground seems to be a rather flourishing garden of sunflowers. Where they come from or how they sprouted is still unclear. But it is joined with a rather chubby-looking chicken that pecks at the ground occasionally. Along with the grazing chicken, there seems to be a whoosh of dragonfly wings as a large dragonfly has taken to the treehouse as a home too. And what is this? It seems they might have a small collection of blue birds that won't leave the house alone. What other creatures are out and about?
Dreammotion energy seems to be strong around the treehouses. As the trees house a collection of boys with vivid and wild imaginations. Sometimes lights will flicker brighter or plants will bloom with various strange flowers. And the smell of baking chocolate and cookies is always in the air.]

[Kor often took it upon himself to take care of the small collection of animals they'd been acquiring at their house. Not because anybody asked him to, or because it was his "assigned chore" to do, but because he liked it. Seaville was a small farming community by the ocean, so it wasn't uncommon for him to help care for some of the animals they kept there. It just seemed natural to him.
He flies up to the treehouse property upon the back of his dragonfly friend, Topaz, who'd chosen to stick around Kor and live near the treehouse even after they'd left the swamps. It sure made taking care of errands in town quick and easy, at least.]
C'mere, Drumstick! It's dinner time!
[He hops off the back of Topaz and heaves a sack of chicken feed he'd slung over his shoulder onto the ground. Excited, the large fowl immediately waddles over and starts furiously pecking at the bag to try and get at its contents without waiting to be fed.]
Ah, h-hey, wait! At least let me open the sack first...!
[B]
[At some point during the day, Kor takes to training nearby. Even though he didn't always have access to his Soma depending on whether he was in a dream realm or not, that just made it all the more important to keep his sword skills sharp.
He draws his sword from the Soma attached to his arm, a glowing golden blade manifesting itself in his hand as if by magic. He dashes forward at lightning speed, sword bared as he rushes towards a striking dummy he'd set up in his mock training grounds. He swings his sword as he charges past it, landing a solid slash on the dummy--]
Haaaah...!
[--And bifurcating it right in two, the twin halves falling to the ground nearly in tandem. Kor turns to look at the fallen target, shocked and displeased by this turn of events.]
Ahh--! Crap, I'm gonna need to get stronger materials for this, i guess... A striking dummy that falls apart after one attack's no good for training, after all.
[C]
[One of the nicest parts about the treehouses sitting high in the canopy is that it gave a clear view of the sky. On clear nights, Kor liked to lie on the rooftop and gaze at the stars until he felt sleepy. (Sometimes, he'd fall asleep there if he wasn't careful.)
The sky surrounding Songerein was unusual to Kor at first. Different, not like his home sky at all. But it didn't fill him with the same loneliness that the sky of Aefenglom did. It was different, but... Not unsettling. There was a strange familiarity to it that he couldn't quite place.]
I wonder... If this is a dream world, are the stars a dream too? Or maybe they're the ones dreaming...
[He doesn't seem to be talking to anybody in particular, musing aloud to himself more than anything.]
[Wildcard]
[Hit me with a different idea if you've got one!]
C
[Here, out in the canopy balconies and faced with the wild expanse of bright stars? It's not the same as Aefenglom, and certainly not a replacement for Twilight Town. But it's special in it's own way.]
[He lets out a hum to Kor, offering a shrug.]
I dunno... It could be. Where I'm from every star is another world, somewhere far away. So, maybe these stars are those dream worlds.

[The Kor of a year ago never would've been able to grasp the idea of countless other worlds out there among the stars. He was having enough trouble accepting the idea that the white moon that orbits his planet was actually another planet.
But now, after having been to several worlds not his own? It doesn't sound so crazy to him.]
Wow... That's a lot of worlds...
no subject
[He leans back a little, propping himself up with his two arms.]
Man... right now would be perfect for some ice cream. My friends back home and I watch the sunset while eating ice cream all the time.
no subject
...But it was delicious every time. It always seemed like a treat that seemed perfect to just relax with, without a care in the world. Opportunities that seldom presented themselves in his life.
Ice cream with friends sounded pretty awesome...]
Mmm... [He sits up now, looking over at Roxas. It was pretty late, but...] You think we could find some ice cream somewhere here, Roxas? It's not the sunset, but watching the stars while eating ice cream with you sounds pretty cool to me!
[Pun not intended.]
no subject
[When Kor makes the suggestion, Roxas perks up a little.]
I dunno... I haven't really looked. But I wouldn't mind some ice cream, if we could find some.
no subject
We should go looking for something!
[A pause, as he realizes the issues there.]
...I wouldn't even know where to look this late at night...
no subject
[Roxas thinks it over a bit.]
I don't know if the shops in town will still be open... Maybe someone has some? Or knows where to find some?
...is ice cream hard to make?
no subject
Man, where's the Wonder Chef when you need him?

[ Vanitas holds his hand out. Void Gear manifests itself in typical Keyblade fashion. ]
Why waste your time on a fake target when there's an actual body you can use instead?
[ Because, quite frankly, Vanitas doesn't care for practice dummies. He'd much better to spare someone to train and exercise against. Surely other people are the same, right? Right! ]
no subject
Ehh? Are you offering to spar with me, Vani?
[He turns in Vanitas' direction, letting his sword hang at his side.]
no subject
That's what I'm offering, sure. Now are you going to take it or should I go find someone else?
no subject
But... [He settles down into a fighting pose.] Don't think I'll hold back against you just because we're friends. I don't even know how to hold back!
no subject
Oh Kor... You're saying that like I know how to hold back!
[ He doesn't. Vanitas really truly doesn't. ]
no subject
[Even though Vanitas made that sound like a threat, it's just got Kor's blood excited, that adrenaline rushing through his body.
He settles into a fighting pose, his sword at the ready, waiting to see what Vanitas can do.]
Then gimme all you got!
no subject
Well Vanitas will. Dreamotion is still new to him and his magic is not as strong as it could, or should, be... However does that really matter when he immediately fires off a Dark Firaga? Doesn't matter how weakened he might be with three firealls are flying at Kor! ]
no subject
He dodges to the left from the first fireball, quickly ducks to the right for the second, and then leaps into the air, seemingly colliding head-on with the third, with it making a fiery explosion upon hit!
But then Kor emerges from the explosion, the blast mitigated by a dreamotion shield he'd created. He rushes towards Vanitas, swinging his Soma at him and opting to start off with a simple slash over any complicated artes.]
Hyaaaaah!

B
He hears the sound of something like battle in the distance. That draws him towards the area where Kor is training. Alphen might be in a strange dream world, but he's still very much a swordsman in his own right. The Sincleaver Blade is attached to his back and he walks over to Kor with heavy metallic armor sounding steps. ]
Is everything okay here? I heard some shouting.[ / WORRY]
no subject
Mmm? Yeah, everything's fine. Just doing some sword practice.
[The weapon in Kor's hand definitely didn't look like an ordinary sword.]
no subject
[ That's a strange looking sword. It doesn't look like a typical blade. He inspects it from where he's standing and comes to recognize it as a powerful weapon. ]
I've never seen a sword like that before. It's impressive.
[ A sword from a different world perhaps? That seems more likely. ]
no subject
Ah, this is my Soma!
[He holds it up, letting the sunlight hit the blade just right to produce a bright glint. To Alphen it may just seem like a sword, but it was more than that. A Soma was an extension of its wielder's Spiria, the strength of their heart made manifest. Calling the weapon impressive was calling their Spiria impressive.]
no subject
[ He's just going to repeat Kor's words back at him. That's a term Alphen's never come across before so it's unfamiliar to him. He curiously nods and places his fingers together contemplating on whatever that could mean.]
How does it even work?
[ Highly advanced technology existed in Alphen's world. He wonders if Kor's weapon could just be a really powerful sword from another time and place. ]
no subject
[He knows how Somas work, but he can't say he entirely understands the processes behind it. It's something he was trained to do, not necessarily get the inner workings of it.]
It takes the strength of my Spiria--my heart--and turns it into a weapon. The stronger my Spiria, the stronger the Soma is.
no subject
[ Alphen sounds a little confused at first but he thinks he understands it. He wields the Blazing Sword after all. That sword isn't an ordinary weapon so maybe this one's special too. ]
That's so cool!! It's so much more than just a sword and you've been training out here? Are you making any headway with that?
no subject
Mmm, somewhat. But fighting striking dummies is no substitute for the real thing, and this place doesn't really have many monsters for me to fight.
