[Now that the residents of Songerein are settling in it seems that a group of uncanny key kids (and a few others) have come together to make a nice little collection of connecting treehouses. The houses are dreamed up and put together with a patchwork of wooden bridges and boards and spruced up with fairy lights that glow and hang from the rafters. The treehouses are high in the canopies of thick trees and the balcony sections are open and breezy for any visitors to come to walk up the steps and see.

Down below the treehouses on the ground seems to be a rather flourishing garden of sunflowers. Where they come from or how they sprouted is still unclear. But it is joined with a rather chubby-looking chicken that pecks at the ground occasionally. Along with the grazing chicken, there seems to be a whoosh of dragonfly wings as a large dragonfly has taken to the treehouse as a home too. And what is this? It seems they might have a small collection of blue birds that won't leave the house alone. What other creatures are out and about?

Dreammotion energy seems to be strong around the treehouses. As the trees house a collection of boys with vivid and wild imaginations. Sometimes lights will flicker brighter or plants will bloom with various strange flowers. And the smell of baking chocolate and cookies is always in the air.]

[Being responsible and heading out towards the field of wildflowers! Once they're a fair amount of space away from any sort of structure he summons his keyblade and lets it rest on top of his shoulders.]

How about here! What should I try first, Ira? Some keyblade skills? Magic? Form changes?

[There's a lot to pick from here. Sora has way too many skills...]

I was just thinking of a spar at first, though, I have to ask. What are form changes?

[That's a new one on him.]

[Hold on a hot minute. Before Sora can reply about what form changes are Sora's gaping at the look of Ira's keyblade.]

Geeze?! That's your keyblade?!

[It's so massive and spiky...??]

[Ira holds up the keyblade so Sora can get a better look. Maybe he's a little proud of it.]

Yes, it is. Though, if you're looking for spikes, you should see Gula's.

Holy crap...!!

[Sora totally wants to reach out and touch it. That's probably a bad idea.]

There's keyblades that are spiker than this one?!

Indeed. Gula's pin and key wards are quite a bit spikier than mine.

Though you are still working with the basic design, it seems.

Uh- Wow! I'd love to see that one too!

[Sora seems to hold out his very basic looking key and while it is a very basic design there is a sort of fondness in Sora's eyes when he looks at it.]

Mine might be a basic design but there's something really special about my keyblade. It picked me and I'm just glad to be a part of everything it's led me to.

[How heroic!]

But it can also change forms like I said! Actually, most of my keyblades do that now! This one helps me use abilities and moves from a special form and I can't use them with another keyblade. I have another keyblade that can turn into a set of arrow guns!

[iracorn]

The keyblade does have a way of doing that, and I'm glad it's led you well.

[Though, now he has questions.]

But, those are unique abilities that I admit I haven't heard of. What sort of items did you use to cause that to happen?

[Sora smiles proudly.]

I don't really need an item or anything! All I have to do is have that keyblade equipped and to charge it up.

[Just for show Sora does change to the Shooting Star keyblade and holds it up in prep to do a fancy form change.]

I see.

[Ira is, frankly, fascinated. He's used to collecting items and getting help from the moogles to evolve the keyblades. Somehow, the process seems to have been streamlined.]

How is it charged?

[oathkeeper]

By a few whacks, of course.

[Sora laughs and then holds out his keyblade. He looks like he's about to show Ira some flashy moves but he might need a target or two.]

Hey, do you know how to use dreamotion? Can you help me make a target to hit?

[iracorn]

[That would make sense, yeah]

I'm still learning that particular ability, but it shouldn't be too difficult to do that.

One moment.

[Ira focuses for a moment, before creating several orbs of light and spreading them across the field in something of a course to be run. It's rudimentary and could probably use some refinement, but will serve their current purpose.]

[oathkeeper]

Wow! You're great at that! This will work awesome!

[Basic or not Sora gets the general idea of what the orbs will be. So with that he gets himself in his usual battle stance and gives Ira a nod.]

Ready? Take a look at this!

[When Sora begins it will be with a quickstep which launches Sora forward extremely fast. He'll hit the first orb with a wild combo (showing just how wild, fast and unrefined sora's style really is) and then ricochet himself to the next and the next. Until finally Sora uses a form change and his keyblade swaps over to Shooting Star only to morph shape into a pair of hand-crossbow-guns which then rapidly attack the remaining orbs with a barrage of light bullets.

Impressive, right?]

Haha! How was that?!

[Ira is impressed. It's hard to say what his expectations were, but Sora has certainly exceeded them. And he is extremely interested in the way that his keyblade changed. It's new, an evolution of the keyblade perhaps and that would make sense. Though Ira can only wonder how much time exists between them.]

Very good. You seem to know what you're doing for someone not formally taught. And I must say that I am very interested in your keyblade and that ability.

Though, you seem to lack a bit of control.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora is about to throw his arms up in the air in a cheer! He feels totally impressive and proud of himself and he's worked so hard for this and-]

Huh?!

[There it is. The teachers always say this!?]

I'm lacking control? What do you mean?

[iracorn]

[Because they are teachers, and is this not what Sora wanted.]

Those combination attacks you used. While they were powerful, they leave a lot of openings and use a lot of energy.

With more control, the strikes become more precise, and can be more efficient.

[oathkeeper]

[Why is school so hard???]

I guess so... How am I supposed to practice something like that?

[He's swear Riku has said something like this to him before too... So it must be true. He wants to get better. He's eager! Even if he looks a little frustrated.]

There are exercises you can do to start practicing it, katas and other routines to get you there. We're at an advantage since you're not starting from scratch but it also means we might have some bad habits to get rid of.

It's not going to be instantaneous, but I think you'll manage.

[He's trying to be encouraging. But he's also not going to go easy on Sora, either.]

Katas? What are those? This feels like it's going to take forever...!!

[He is whining a little, yeah. Because how many times has he had to start over...??]

[Ira is trying not to laugh. Oh these kids, thinking they can just run before they can walk.]

Katas are routines that will help you learn precision and control in your movements. They're simple enough, and you can do them individually as well.

It's only going to take longer if you don't start.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora does have quite the mighty pout across his lips right now. But there is a lot of merit to what Ira says. He's listening even if he's pouting...]

Okay... I'll try something like that. How should I start?

[He holds up his keyblade and grips it tightly.]

It's not so bad learning something new, I guess.

[iracorn]

I assure you that this will help. And that you'll have it down in no time.

But here, I'll demonstrate. Watch carefully.

[He'll summon his own keyblade and move forward until he has enough room. What follows is a simple routine of strokes and steps with the keyblade, each move measured and deliberate, almost as if he is fighting an invisible opponent. Once it's done he calls Sora forward.]

Now, we'll do it together.

[Sora does watch diligently! He thinks he can mimic those moves easily enough.]

Oh, okay! So, it's about repeating moves like that so it's all muscle memory or something?

[Maybe he can do that? Sora steps up to match Ira's pose and stance.]

Partially. Once you learn it, it is something you'll be able to practice on your own. But it's also about making sure that every movement is precise and correct.

You're not supposed to rush through it.

[Because Sora strikes him as the kind of kid who might try to do it as fast as he could.]

Okay, fine! Let's do this!

[He'll start to move just as Ira will. Copying his movements like a practiced samurai! Well, close to it. He's a bit clumsy but he picks up on things quickly.]
