Amidst the whispers carried by the winds of resilience and hope, news spreads like wildfire— The Story Eater's assault is over! And in the face of adversity, the desire to take a moment to unwind, celebrate, and cherish the joys of life remains steadfast. It is a time to honor pride, love, and the freedom to embrace one's true self, embracing the spectrum of experiences that make each person unique.

Thanks to the passion and imagination of a few local dreamers, an invitation is extended to all, beckoning them to partake in a joyous communal pride picnic! And a break from the recovery efforts! It doesn't matter how the information reaches your ears, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration (and shirts are optional)!

The picnic area has become a haven of delectable treats and refreshing beverages, generously contributed by the locals like Link and Susato, and with your own delightful additions. A mouthwatering spread awaits, showcasing an array of snacks to satisfy. Platters adorned with an abundance of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables tempt the health-conscious, while the irresistible allure of frozen yogurt and rainbow popsicles beckons those seeking a cool, sweet indulgence. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling burgers and hot dogs from the grill fills the air, accompanied by the delightful crunch of kettle-cooked chips. Amidst the feast, one can't help but notice the adorable bunny buns, a whimsical and delicious delight to be shared.

To quench thirst and perhaps discover a touch of destiny, the crowd can partake in the special paopu fruit drink, aptly named Destiny's Embrace. A rumored connection awaits those who share this beverage, a fateful bond that could endure forever. A note reads, "If two people share a drink, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Thanks can be given to The Harvest for this addition!

Furthermore, at the heart of the picnic spot, a grand crockpot awaits, promising a nostalgic group cookout experience. A medley of savory things simmer and bubble, enticing all to come together and savor the communal flavors. Be sure to eat a lot!

Scattered around are a delightful assortment of water guns, just waiting to be claimed. Each one holds a different hue of glitter water, promising moments of splashing and drenching among all. It's a tempting invitation to engage in a spirited water fight, where participants will inevitably be adorned with vibrant stains. The challenge arises: who will emerge from the contest with the most vivid array of colors splashed upon them, or perhaps even daringly strive for the fewest? Don’t worry the colorful water will likely wash out. Enjoy the excitement of some impending watery escapades!

There are a couple of things to be careful of. There seems to be a unique creature galloping around the picnic area. You might be minding your own business when a horse of some sort might nudge you from behind. It’s probably harmless. But also steer clear of any dangerously looking purple goop that might be nearby as well! What happens when you touch it? Well... Maybe just don’t touch the forbidden calamity jammity. It’s for your own good.

Strewn across various picnic blankets are a myriad of icebreaker games, waiting to be embraced by brave (or not-so-brave) participants. Join in the laughter and camaraderie as you engage in timeless classics like "Never Have I Ever" or the intriguing challenge of unravelling "Two Truths and a Lie." Whether you find yourself seated beside an old friend or a newfound acquaintance from distant lands, these games offer a delightful opportunity to uncover shared experiences, discover hidden tales, and forge new bonds. Don't be shy, for the joy lies in the discovery of commonalities and the celebration of unique perspectives (and getting a date).

For those who prefer a more artistic expression of connection, Gen offers a palette of vibrant face paints. [Wanderer stands and brushes himself off.]

No. It takes a lot more than falling on my ass to even make me flinch. You don't seem injured, either.

Oh? It seemed like you flinched just a moment ago~

[Heizou gets up as well, presenting both his feet to Wanderer in a sort of "Ta-dah!" manner.]

I did tell you I was fine, you know. But still, I appreciate your concern for my well-being. It was very sweet of you to want to make sure!

I wasn't concerned. I told you, Arashi would have harassed you if I didn't--where's my hat?

Ah, right right right. Of course~

[If that's how Wanderer wants to play it, then Heizou doesn't mind playing along a little bit. He heads over to that bush to retrieve Wanderer's hat, assuming the kitten has ended up somewhere in that area as well.]

It landed over here when you fell... Don't you find wearing a hat this large to be just a little bit cumbersome?

[Arashi is flying around where the hat landed, mewing because how dare you throw her, Wanderer.

He ignores his cat and gets up to follow Heizou over to the bush.]

It's less cumbersome than a veil would be, and it keeps people out of my space.

[Heizou greets the kitten with a smile as he bends down to pick up the giant hat, brushing off any leaves that may have gotten stuck to it.]

A veil? Is that what you used to wear?

Centuries ago, if I wasn't at a forge or at a fire. I used to have a hat that a veil, but I lost it long before arriving here.

So you've always had some sort of covering for your head, then... Any particular reason why?

[He shrugs.]

I've never liked having my head uncovered. There's no real reason behind it other than that.

[Honestly.]

Why do you care?

[Heizou shrugs back, stepping closer so he can place the hat on the head of its rightful owner.]

Simply curious, that's all~ It's a bit of a shame, too... I think you're cuter without it!

[Nose boop! And then Heizou will turn and resume walking to the food spread.]

Did Venti put you up to this?

[That makes Heizou pause, turning back to give Wanderer a look of genuine surprise and confusion.]

Venti? Why would Venti put me--

[He cuts himself short as the lightbulb flicks on, realization dawning quickly on his face and giving way for a knowing smile.]

Oh-hoohhh! So Venti's also been vying for your attention, hmm~? Or maybe he already has it!

[Dammit. Why is this human so damn smart?! Who allowed that?! Wanderer rolls his eyes, thankful that it's really, really hard to get him to blush.]

Cut it out. He's as much of a troll as you are and you know it.

[That smile on his face just grows, eyes practically sparkling with mischief. He likes being right. It puts an extra little bounce in his step.]

Who said either of us are being trolls? We could both truly mean everything we say, you know~ Or is that the part that bothers you most?

[Wanderer steadfastly pretends Heizou did not hit the nail on the head, even though it's probably obvious with how he reaches up to fiddle with his Vision and fix his sleeve.

He knows Venti is...probably mostly sincere. He still doesn't know how to handle that from anyone not Aether or Nahida.]

You both have a funny way of showing that, then.

[Did we say Heizou likes being right? He loves being right. He looks pretty pleased with himself when he sees how Wanderer reacts.]

Mmm... Yes, I'll have to admit to that much. I'm not exactly known as Mr. Popularity back home because of that, after all~

[He doesn't sound particularly sad about that, though. The slightest bit remorseful, maybe, but not sad. People tend to just stay away from him unless they have no other choice. He's used to it. That's why he works alone.]

What would the point in that be? This is who I am. If that's not acceptable to someone, then they don't have to accept it and can move right along. Simple as that~
