✵ GAME OPENING LOG ✵
Normally our TDMs serve as intro logs, but we have prepared a special character intro log for game opening! It is a massive, chaotic feast that can only be found in a dreamworld like Songerein. You can also use this to continue ongoing TDM threads, especially as it nears captcha. Reminder that any thread from the TDM can be carried over. Players are also welcome to make their own logs for things if they would rather skip this part. Be sure to read the Mod Announcement for other information and you can ask any questions regarding the log here.

I. THE FEAST

As the sleepy looking sun begins to set, the small little tapir fairies will buzz around to find all the new inhabitants and usher them to the plaza. There everyone will find several tables of various lengths, sizes, and shapes. Yes, that is a star shaped table along with a moon one. A special feast has been made just for them to welcome and celebrate their arrival. Some may even recognize decorations: leaves mottled and changing to an assortment of colors, festive streamers, popcorn strings, glittering garlands and bows, string lanterns, and maybe a few small gravestones here and there. Some areas might look a bit brown and withered while some of the trees take on a more cherry blossom look. It's a bit of a strange mashup, and yet the chaos seems to have a sense of harmony as well—especially when considering everything else that the feast has to offer. This is one divine feast that is going to be completely topsy turvy.

A. What's Your Sign? Everyone will find themselves mysteriously "tagged" with a special sticker and will suddenly gain special characteristics based off the animal: ears, tails, behavioral traits. They're mostly mild and to add flavor, but they may also feel different compatibility towards another, such as more attracted or opposed. The sticker will be hard to remove, but it is possible to swap with someone if they want to try a different experience.

B. Special Bowls. There are many tables and anyone can sit wherever they want. Just don't forget to pick up the special dinner bowl already personalized with their name on it. Of course there are some extra paints and decorations that can be added to it if one desires.

C. Wild Food. Every table has the same kind of food, and there is plenty to go around. Of course, that's only if the food can be caught and if one can keep an appetite for some of them. The boar's head is a bit talkative and might settle down if someone stuffs an apple in its mouth or tells it a joke. However, it might just get several laughs by the barrel of monkeys funnel cake nearby, monkey shaped pastries hiding within it to chuck out various candies and fruits. Not even the candy is safe, at least not the stringed ones. Licorice, chocolate coated taffy, and others will start slithering around and even hiss, sometimes wrapping around the arm of those who try to eat them. Playing some music might calm these sweet serpents so they can be eaten properly. How about that special carousel cake stand with the horse cookies prancing about?

D. Spice Up Your Li—Meal. However fear not. There is normal food around so it is possible to have a proper meal. However, some helpful little dragons may fly by to add a few herbs and spices to the dishes. They are quite friendly and will listen to requests, however if one is rude or too demanding, they may just dump a bunch of a hot pepper and other unsavory seasoning instead. Make a good enough impression and they might make house calls, even follow someone home. They live to spice up food, after all.

E. Drink Tea. Although there is an assortment of beverages, the prevalent one will be tea. They are similar to the ones found in the cafe and all will help bring out festive dreams and restful sleep later for everyone. However, someone is clearly making mischief as they have slipped in some rodentia tea. Drinking it will cause the drinker to shrink to the size of a rat. The only way to return to normal is to find the elusive cat cookies, which can be strangely hard to find; they seem to vanish and reappear at random, but only the ones with wide grins and “Eat Me” written on them can be eaten.

II. FUN & GAMES

Perhaps the food isn't up to one's tastes, or they just would rather have some fun. There are a few games around the plaza that everyone is welcome to participate in and they are encouraged to play to their heart's content. Just beware of the geese as they are being a menace not only at the tables but disrupting games as well.

A. Playing Chicken. A simple game, really, one that will test one's creativity and taste buds. There is a goat cheese fondue fountain surrounded with various platters of cooked chicken: grilled, steamed, boiled, baked, fried. This fondue fountain, however, is special. The flavor of the fondue can be altered depending on the kinds of emotions near it. Joy and love make it sugary sweet, anger and jealousy spicy hot, despair and distrust salty sour. And of course everything in-between including a chaotic mix. The challenge is one person will try and alter the flavor of the fondue, lather it on a piece of chicken, and then hand it to their opponent. The chicken must then be consumed. If not, the one who "cooked" it wins. If it is consumed, then the second person can now do the same to the other. This continues until one forfeits. It should be noted that the emotions of the one eating can also affect the fondue. (It is of course possible to take either the fondue or chicken without playing this stomach churning game.)

B. Gravity of Luck. There is a special wheel lottery set on a table decorated with rabbits. In fact there are a lot of rabbits congregating here and would love a few carrots. Anyone is free to spin the wheel one time per round to determine what kind of special "gravity" effect they receive. Each time the wheel is spun, a ball will drop and the color will indicate the type. A gold ball will cause them to lose all sense of gravity, their bodies starting to float away and although they can fly and float around, they'll need help being tethered down. White balls allow them to jump higher, small mushrooms appearing at their feet so others can follow. A black ball will cause them to be stuck in place, even fall flat all the way to the ground and need help standing up. Those imbued with the power of the different balls can help balance each other out until the effect wears off in half an hour.

C. Ox Go-Kart. For those who really want some speed and action, there are ox driven carts stationed by various streets. Two people can partner up with one driving and the other serving to help try to slow the other cart down. In this race, all non-lethal, non-destructive abilities are allowed to try and disrupt the other racer. Perhaps utilizing dreamotion based abilities may fare better. Just beware of other obstacles, especially any random crying dodos that create giant pools of tears as water hazards.

D. Tiger Fishing. There are special colorful ponds filled with sparkly gummy koi fish. At each one there is a little round tiger(?) with a pair of tiger mittens. In the same vein of fish scooping games, players must wear the tiger mittens and catch the gummy fish with them. It won't be easy as the gummy fish are even more slippery than normal. Perhaps some other skills could be used...but the little tiger will be watching and will latch onto anyone's heads who try to cheat. But if caught, they will make for a delectable treat—or interesting pet.

[ Augh. And only because it's Sora do those ears eventually give in. They kind of become pliant in Sora's hands. He allows for the other to actually touch them, shoulders sagging.

And a shudder going up his spine. Now he's beginning to understand the torture that he had put Sora through.

Not that he regrets it of course. ]

Oh please. We all know that "cute and fluffy" doesn't suit me.

[Feels strange, doesn't it! Both kind of good and kind of annoying at the same time. It used to make Sora squirm so much when people touched his rabbit ears. And a particular another feeling when Vanitas was the one to do it.]

I dunno about that.

[Sora is still grinning from cheek to cheek. Even as he gently runs one hand up one ear with a soft affectionate touch. Pads of his fingers curiously rubbing over the length of the sensitive ear.]

I think I could get used to cute and fluffy on you.

[Too bad this is temporary. :(]

[ Yeah well. Vanitas might also be feeling a particular feeling as Sora is the one that feels up his ears. So the other boy better be careful. Van's already having to ball his hands into fists and his jaw tightens. Trying to control his reactions. ]

You shouldn't.... I'm not that type of guy.

[ Please take pity on him Sora! ]

You're best suited to be the Cottontail around here.

[Despite Vanitas' physical reaction Sora isn't stopping any of his. Nope, he's still touching curiously over long fuzzy black rabbit ears. Trying to remember how they might compare to Sora's old ones.]

At least I can dream a little, huh?

[Get it-? This is a bit of a dream come true that he will get to remember!]

Since it might be a while since I'm ever a rabbit again, you get to be cottontail at least for today. [He grins.] What's it feel like for you?

[ Okay but is he still going to keep touching even as those ears twitch? As Vani shudders and releases a shaky breath? When he starts to show signs? ]

Yeah... D-Dream....

[ Hands go to Sora's shoulders. Vanitas' eyes roll a little as he tries to ground himself. ]

It's. V-Very distracting.

[Sora tilts his head and blinks at the other when he makes that breath. With that, he'll lean in and nuzzle Vanitas' cheek for a second like he's still a rabbit himself. Then he'll stop with a nudge to Vanitas' side.]

Yeah, I know how that feels.

[Tease tease. Don't worry, he'll stop now.]

How long do you think this'll last for?

[ Small blessings that Sora hasn't decided to actually fuss with the tuft of fur that serves as Van's tail. Oh the darker one of the two remembers how he would tease that bit of fluff. Sora could well have some retribution here. ]

Bet you do...

[ Just going to glare at him for a little bit with flushed cheeks. ]

This won't be over soon enough. That's what.

[Oh, if they weren't out in the open Sora might be doing just that. If the bunny tail lasts long enough and the sun sets...

Vanitas can glare all he wants, Sora is still beaming brightly.]

Come on, is it really that bad? Can't you hear a little better? Feeling like running around?

[Wanna hop hop hop?]

[ Vanitas is going to roll his eyes and give a little shove. ]

You are not going to get me to "hop down the bunny trail," Sora. I've half a mind to turn around and just go back to the house.

[ And hide! ]

[Sora laughs at the shove, doing his best to duck and grin back.]

Uh-huh, like I wouldn't turn around and follow you back anyway.

[So, he's just going to sneak his arms around Vanitas' waist to hug him.]

Come here!

[ Hrm. Vanitas doesn't mind this turn of events. Sora's hands on him? Yeah sure, okay. Van sees fit to do the same, a smirk working its way onto his features. ]

Maybe that's my plan all along.

[ Now it's Van's turn to nuzzle. ]

Yeah? And who's got who right now?

[Sora grins and laughs into the nuzzle. Hugging Vanitas close. Honestly, maybe he needed a bit of a hug with all the things happening to them lately. And his hands are around Vanitas' waste so ever close to that fuzzy tail.]

It looks like I "got" you at the moment.

[ Though he's going to engage in his favorite pastime. Or what used to be his favorite pastime. It's a little different without Sora's rabbit ears... But there's still an ear that he can bite at, right?

Someone's feeling a little. Impish. And isn't entirely aware of those hands at the moment. ]

Hey! Hold on-!

[Now that is just not fair. Sora is still getting used to having his normal form again. And human-shaped ears are very different than rabbit-shaped ears. The sensation is a little overwhelming, honestly! He yelps! Hands gripping at Vanitas!]

That's not fair, you're the one with new ears right now!

[ Heh! Looks like he definitely has Sora! Getting the brat all riled up for sure. Goes to show Sora that he can't so easily taunt Vanitas like he thinks he can!

The other boy snickers at the yelping and the hand tightening. ]

Yeah? Is that supposed to mean that yours are off limits?

[Gosh, it's probably a good thing that they're in Vanitas' little hiding spot right now and not out in the open. The snickering makes Sora's ears turn pink and he blushes.]

Guess that means this isn't off-limits either, huh?

[He says this affectionately, of course. His hand finally sliding across Vanitas' waist and he takes hold of the new cottontail there. A little affectionate squeeze.]

[ And Sora's blush only makes Vanitas snicker all the more. He thinks that Sora's completely forgotten about other things. Oh how wrong he is.

Because Sora does end up squeezing that tail and Vanitas yelps. There's a full body shudder that runs through him along with his face suddenly going aflame. ]

Hey!`

[Sora isn't going to relent now that he has an inch! He squeezes gently but with so much purpose. How he remembers how Vanitas might have done it in the past too. But probably with Sora being a tad more obnoxious about it.]

Hah, got you now!

[But at least he doesn't wrestle Vanitas. Only if Vanitas makes it into a wrestle. For now, he's just kind of torturing the poor rabbit boy.]

You're cheating!

[ Because he absolutely is going to wrestle. If feels so odd having his tail squeezed? Like it definitely makes him want to squirm and shudder. Why is it really that sensitive!? Had Sora really put up with it like this!?

Of course it makes him want some other things too but that's for another time. So he's just going to shove at the other boy while his face turns all the redder. ]

Sora!

See?! Admit it, it feels funny!

[Sora lets the shove happen but he wrestles at Vanitas. Pulling him close and under his arm.]

Okay, okay. [He won't bully too much. But he's feeling a certain kind of way, that's for sure.] It's sensitive, right?

"Funny" isn't the word that I would use, Sora!

[ He could totally throw Sora off. Though he doesn't really want to hurt the stupid guy. Instead, Vanitas starts to pinch and poke at those sides. ]

Augh! It might be. If you ever get one back I'm going to tug it twice as much.

Ow- Hey! What word would you use then, huh?!

[No pinching! He swats and then tugs Vanitas. Half wrestling his arms so he stops pinching and poking at him. Then he finally brings their noses close. Getting right back into Vanitas' personal space.]

If I ever get my tail back I'm gonna run away from you.

[He grins teasingly. Before he suddenly kisses the other.]

[ And Sora is one of three people that CAN get into his personal space without repercussions. He won't back down though. Vanitas presses his forehead against the other. Hands resting on arms. ]

You know what word I would use. It's the same reason you say you'd run if you get a tail again.

[ Oh. A kiss. Well okay. Vanitas is more than okay with this too? Even if it makes said tail vibrate a little! ]

[And he might just let his fingers rest on Vanitas' lower back and tailbone area. With the pads of his fingers gently pressing.]

Heh. Well, I guess I gotta enjoy it for now.

[ He'll allow it. For now. As long as Sora's hands actually behave, ne? That they don't have a mind of their own and start moving... ]

Tch. Now what do you intend to do with the rest of your day, honey?

[ Oh yes. He's going to find something else to call his Sora. ]
