MIRROR MIRROR

With the sleepwalking curse over, everyone will have some time to rest and recuperate—until Jack Frost comes barging in with news of a clue on how to help his beloved Ice Queen who still remains asleep. The clue was the mirror shard that was in her chest, and there are theories that it may have been a fragment of a much stronger, powerful mirror she had been given some time ago. Problem is, he can't find it nor can he remember who gave it to her. He does, however, have a magic incantation that will allow people to enter mirrors and hopefully find a trace. Unfortunately, this horrendously backfires and we have mirror chaos instead. Dammit, Jack.

More details on everything can be found here. We will request any thread submissions for certain prompts during AC .

I. REVEREIN

It all begins in Reverein, where there's a strange shift in the air upon Jack's attempt to cast the spell. But instead of affecting just one mirror, it reflects off the surface and spreads out to the entire town, hitting every reflective surface instead. Ripples can be seen before the surfaces still, but it's too late. Every reflective surface—glass, mirror, window—is under a different effect because of the botched spell.

And some are being unwittingly pulled into them.

Fortunately It is possible to communicate and even watch people from the other side of the mirror, but it's only through certain mirrors and at certain times. It also will be temporary, so while one mirror might work one time, it may not work again.

A. Strange Reflections. While some mirrors may still reflect proper images, many will have…unusual changes.
🪞 You are what you see. Whether it's an odd hairstyle, change in skin color, or style of clothing in the reflection, suddenly the viewer will look exactly like what's reflected. The most extreme is a different form entirely.
🏡 Glimpses of home. Everyone will have a rare glimpse of their home world, and these can be instances from the past, present, or even a limited future. They are just reflections and cannot be interacted with, and future reflections may be blurry to prevent the person from seeing too much. For those who have memory issues, such visions will also be blurry, but perhaps they can help stir some things…
🔮 Most desired. Mirrors that have a bit of a pink hue to them will reflect the viewer's most desired "thing." It could be an object, person, place, or even a general idea. However, if not careful the viewer may become trapped in a trance and will need to be removed or smash the mirror.

B. Clone Wars. Mirrors that do not show any kind of reflection are to be quickly taken away and covered as it will begin to create duplicates in Reverein of what is reflected within it. Yes, even people, and they will be very obviously fake: wrong colors, different voices, odd behavior, etc. and will usually be harmless. These "clones" will continue to appear and multiply until the mirror has been covered, and will need to either be destroyed or captured and shoved into the mirror, where it will lose its "no reflection" status and become a proper mirror again…only for them to appear on the other side in Mirror World.

C. Mirrorsnatched. A mirror with a black rim has the chance of absorbing a significant personality trait or memory of the one looking into it, and when this happens, the person will walk away feeling very muddle-headed and off. The mirror will "keep" this part of the person and someone from the Mirror World side must find their essence and "shove" it back out onto any mirror surface so that the original owner can break the mirror and retrieve it. The downside of this method is that breaking a mirror means one less mirror those on the Mirror side can use, so they need to choose carefully.

D. The Unknown. Appearing in both the Mirror World and Reverein will be a strange mirror masked, black cloaked figure called "The Unknown." It traverses through the mirrors and through the walls, seeking those with happy reflections and will try to corrupt them with nightmares. People on both sides of the mirrors will be able to confront and try to stop the Unknown, though beware its chocolate attacks.

II. MIRROR WORLD

Everything in this "Mirror World" is, in a word, chaotic. Imagine an AI-generated monstrosity based off of Picasso, Escher, and Dr. Seuss, where everything seems to be upside down, backwards, colors everywhere and nowhere, and everything feels so fragmented that one step feels like walking towards the edge of a cliff. In a way it's nightmarish in an unusual sense, and those inside can feel that touch of "madness" that seeps through the cold air.

Beware the strange creatures in the Mirror World. They are grotesque monstrosities, many of them looking as if they were stitched together from different parts. Fortunately they are susceptible to weapons and dreamotion and those inside the Mirror World will find they are able to use different abilities, especially those with reflective properties.

A. Fragment of their old self. In order to get out of the Mirror World, those inside will need to catch a small fragment of themselves that has escaped and is running around. This fragment is actually a piece of their old self prior to arriving in Songerein. For some, this self may not be so different, but for long-time residents, they may seem a lot more different. To make things more interesting, this self can be from any point of the character's past. It just has to be a version of the character from before entering Songerein. This version will also appear "homesick" and "want" to return to their original home, regardless if the character actually feels that way. Thus the fragment will seek out mirrors that will reflect anything of their home world. Shattering these mirrors will weaken the fragment until it can be caught. But that's only half the challenge. If the fragment is injured, the original will also feel the damage but to a lesser degree. If the fragment is destroyed, then the original will be "knocked out" for a few seconds before a new fragment appears. However, this fragment will be much more distorted and worse than the one before.

B. Distorted Memories. At random points while traversing, characters may come across strange pockets of the world that they will feel drawn to. Following said instinct will lead them to a shifted landscape that will reflect images of home from different points in time (past, present, maybe even future) as if they've just walked right into it, but just like everything else, they are distorted. The changes can be as subtle as the wrong color of clothes, having too many limbs, to something major like the sky now being the ground. The only way out will either be destroying the anomalies or correcting them, and they will be rewarded with a mirror shard that will aid in their escape.

C. Warped Sense of Self. The longer a person stays within the Mirror World, the less "coherent" they will feel, and sometimes sound. Their memories will slowly become more disjointed, their personality feeling a bit "off", and they may even forget who they are or where they are from. Even their physical selves will start to twist and change, starting with something subtle (e.g. eye color) and then growing more drastic as time goes on (where did those extra fingers come from? Or why are they suddenly much shorter?) Finding those reflections of home will help with these anomalies, but those weak of heart be warned: the distortions may only exacerbate the issue and make them believe that they are the truth instead. Help anyone who might be caught in fixing these so that they can recover.

D. Finding an exit. To leave the world, those inside must find a mirror that will connect back to Reverein, and those on the other side can also try to help by posing as "anchors" for those inside to recognize. Otherwise, there are many mirrors in the Mirror World that will lead to different places within Songerein—presumably. However, perhaps due to the magic or needing something else, they will be unable to pass through any mirrors that are not connected to Reverein. This is where players have the fun opportunity to make up whatever kind of location or place the characters may see reflected on the mirrors. They could be existing locations in the game, or new ones that could be explored in the future. One unique place we can mention will be reflections of a city covered in night.

Only upon finding a mirror that leads back to Reverein, but they will also need help from the outside. Someone from within Reverein must also be there to physically reach in and pull them out—while hopefully not accidentally be pulled in themselves.

Naoya | Devil Survivor

II-A

There's a young man wandering around, pointed face and dark eyes. He looks like he could be related to Naoya, but he's physically larger, dressed in a ragged brown cloak and torn leather shoes. He looks tired and windblown, but he isn't giving up. Instead he just keeps wandering around, poking his head into whatever situation looks interesting. He doesn't seem to really stay in one place for a long time, just keeps moving. The only times he does stop is when he recognizes something in a mirror.

It's a house of clay-brick and some kind of stone, but he sits there for a long time. He doesn't seem to understand where he is after a while, simply sitting in place and trying to figure out some way to get through.

II-B

Naoya meanwhile is trying to figure his way out - but he keeps running into pockets of memory. No surprise, given that he has a lot of them - but he isn't easily fooled by the distortions. It helps when you have a perfect memory, after all. Still, he sometimes stands there, just... watching them play out. A few of them get him to laugh, but some of them have him just rolling his eyes until it's time to correct them.

[[ooc; Let me know what kind of memory you'd like and I'll cook something up for you!]]

II-C

He's been here a while. He's been here too long. He's been here forever. Minutes turn into hours turn into days - or do they? He can't trust this place to give him a realistic sense of time. He feels his memories slipping away, and while that would normally be a fine thing for him it shouldn't be this way. He starts to bulk up in figure, resembling more of a farmer's physique. His hair darkens and so do his eyes. Those that saw the fragment from before might recognize him, but either way he's looking more and more lost.

He can't figure out what's happening to him, why it's happening to him - he just knows he's not supposed to be like this.

A. Fragment of Their Old Self

[Crying. That is definitely the sound of crying you hear. It should be somewhat easy to locate the source of the crying: a goatlike child wearing a green and yellow striped shirt. But because you see this child, the child sees you. He steps back a few feet, his voice hitching in between sobs.]

I just- I... I just want to go home... Gosh, I want to go home...

B. Distorted Memories

[You and Flowey had agreed to search through this mirror world together. Somewhere along the line, Flowey seemed to actually know where he's going, so you follow him. He leads you to a location with black grass, blue flowers, and bioluminescent lights dotting around the cave ceiling. Eventually, a castle comes into view and two people are standing silently, looking at it, marveling at it as if it was a painting. One person is holding an umbrella over another, and the one without arms is in greyscale.]

[Flowey turns to you.]

Golly... sometimes I forget how this view looks to other people.

C. Warped Sense of Self/D. Finding An Exit

[Flowey's been one of the people that decided to explore the mirror world for as long as possible. Determination fuels him. Literally. Without it, he'd just be a flower. Even so, determination, for Flowey, is finite. He's caught himself spacing out, forgertting things, getting distracted... It's time for a tactical retreat. So the two of you begin your search. Amongst the distant and future memories of others, you and Flowey come across what looks to be an apocalyptic metropolis filled with destroyed skyscrapers and a very large multitude of Noctaere and other nightmare creatures roaming around.

Flowey shakes his head to try to clear any webs from his mind.]

...I'm not just imagining things... am I? Are those Noctaere? Is... is this Reverin? ...Have we been here before?

Ryu | Breath of Fire IV

Sweet Child O Mine

Ryu is drawn to animals, in a way. He understands them on a level that he doesn't... fully understand people on. But either way, these animals need help - and who wouldn't want to help a baby? Someone mean, that's who.

Either way Ryu can be found near the basket of baby animals, sitting and rocking a tiny baby kitten, snuggling and nuzzling it until it falls asleep. And when it does?

... Wait. He can't get up now, he'll wake up the kitten!

II-B

Ryu's memories are... difficult. He doesn't have many of them, after all. But this one he definitely remembers - walking through the Dragon Shrine and trying to figure out how to get through laser beams(?). They're all there - Nina, Cray, Ershin, Scias, and Ursula. It's taking a while. None of them seem to be the... brains of the operation. They're all checking various sections until Cray yells out -

"I got it!" He starts shoving the laser emitters around and turning them. But they're old, so this might... take some time. Ryu - the Ryu not in the memory - stands and watches, tilting his head as he tries to figure out what's bothering him about the memory. It looks perfectly fine... doesn't it? Then why is something yelling at him internally that something is so very wrong?

II-C

After some time Ryu starts to notice... changes. Like suddenly being a couple of inches taller. Like his shirt starting to change from white to purple. Like... why can't he feel his emotions as clearly anymore? His Dragon's Eye appears in his other eye, the catlike pupil searching around as its neighboro doeos. He still looks... mostly like Ryu, though his hair is longer and starting to lighten. He's not sure what's happening to him. Who is he?

... He's not sure anymore. He can't tell where 'Ryu' begins and ends. Is he someone else now? Is he... him?

He needs help, but he can't remember who to ask for help, or where. This place is confusing and he's lost and he's tired, like he's slept for far too long.

Black Raisin Cookie | Cookie Run Kingdom

[personal profile] cawpatrol 2024-03-10 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Only Human After All

[Good news, BRC is tall for the moment! Bad news, at least from her perspective, is that the C of BRC is gone. Wandering Reverin is Black Raisin Human, who isn’t really adjusting to her new form all that well. The new height is dizzying, and she keeps bumping into things, wobbling here and there. When she tries to do her quick little jumps, she often winds up flat on her face.

Even her Raisin Crows – rather, Crow Crows? – are bummed, as they can no longer lift her around and carry her everywhere. Not for lack of trying, mind you. ]

Ugh… is this some sort of “be careful what you wish for” punishment? How do these creatures manage to survive with such weight on them all the time… I’m already so exhausted.

Me’s A Crowd

[ This time, there’s a second BRC running around, but she’s not like the tough cookie that’s typically seen here. Instead of keeping to herself and living off the land, this cookie is a thief! She can be spotted stealing anything she can get her hands on, from bits of food to utensils to whatever small thing you were just handling!

Also she doesn’t have Raisin Crows… she has Date Crows! The horror! ]

This is mine now! All mine! Get your own!

Cheesed to Meet You

[In Mirrorland, there’s a chance you can come across terrain that belongs to BRC’s homeland of Earthbread. But Candyland, this is not. For those who venture with BRC, be it on purpose or accidentally, are now entering the Golden Cheese Kingdom!

It’s an odd mix of ancient Egyptian culture and futuristic technology. Cookies drive around in fast cars decorated with hieroglyphs, glitching pyramids can be seen in the distance, and Cheezbirds are making light conversation with straight-faced cat-like cookies. Everything is shining and golden, everyone is happy and blissful, and it seems like a paradise…

Except for the 404 breaks. Literally – if you try to enter a building alone, or go into an alleyway to cut time, or perhaps try to glance at the wrong face, it’s replaced with a gigantic white screen that keeps repeating 404 ERROR.

BRC, for her part, isn’t happy to be here to begin with. It’s only been a brief time, and she already seems exhausted. ]

… I know this is where I’m supposed to be, but this feels more like a mockery of my mission. I know Golden Cheese Cookie isn’t even here. Ugh… must it be so bright?

Dr. Senku Ishigami | Dr. STONE

[personal profile] 10billionpercent 2024-03-10 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I A – Glimpses of Home

[Encountering the mirrors is a fine exercise, but Senku has already learned not to get to close – thank you Halloween fun house – but he can’t help but be distracted when he gets a glimpse at the past.

He can’t help it if his eyes go wide and he stops in his tracks to have a look at the unfolding scene. Not himself, who cares about that, although at six Senku is definitely a precocious kid, dressed in a suit and labcoat like the little scientist he is. It’s not an experiment though – Byakuya and him are going out for ramen.

Byakuya has the warmest, fondest smile as he looks at Senku, listening to him ramble on about electricity like he’s some high schooler. This was back when Byakuya could actually follow what he was saying and offer gentle guided corrections. It wouldn’t be long before his knowledge outpaced his dad’s.

Maybe he’s got a reason to linger for awhile longer. Out of everyone, they’re not destined for a happy reunion and no matter how many times it comes to mind, it still hurts.]

II B – Distorted Memories

[Senku, despite his best efforts makes the decision to jump into the mirror world to help rescue people. He caught a glimpse of The Unknown and while he’s not sure he can be useful in that direction, he can try and help people escape.

He is vulnerable to the effects as anyone. Stepping into this distortion is like a wild trip to about eleven years ago in his estimation and everything seems just as primitive as it was. It’s not exactly the most fun place to visit at times.

The devil is in the details as they say, and running into Gen Asagiri is not a surprise, he would know how to hunt him down. The difference is, instead of white, half of his hair is pink.]

I preferred the black and white, Mentalist. [He can’t help himself but scoff and open himself up to a bit of verbal sparring.]

II C/D – Finding An Exit

[The initial change from being in the mirror too long is Senku’s eyes have gone emerald green instead of the red hue they normally are, but he doesn’t care about that. Even if he’s beginning to feel a bit strange, he’ll encounter another dreamer.

He reaches out his hand to them.]

Come on, this way, there will be a way out. [He’s seen the anchor point, but he’s not done helping.]

[I’m open to any of the options if you would like to do anything else with Senku. He’s available to join you on your own world adventures too!]

I-A

Nico does not like these mirrors but can't help himself from looking. He's staring at a reflection of himself in orange. He's the same age but healthier; his skin is not as pale, and he has a better haircut. He's got scars, but they look like they healed better.

He's a little taller, too.

Nico shakes his head and turns his back on it. He took a deep breath and let it out in a sigh.

II-A

A boy, maybe ten years old, is sitting at a table, going through cards. He's dressed in shorts, a white button-up shirt, and a charcoal jacket that matches the shorts. He looked up, dark eyes bright and friendly.

"CIAO! Sono Nico!" He holds the cards. "Vuoi giocare a Mythomagic?"

Looking down at the cards, horrors are displayed in art. A boy in black armor riding a massive dog, pointing a sword at a giant. On another, two boys with dark hair fighting, one, the older, strangling the other. A third, a boy in a jar dying from suffocation.

"Per favore, gioca con me."

Suddenly, his voice was pleading, and his eyes were teary. "Sai dove sono mia mamma e mia sorella?"

Ira | Kingdom Hearts

[personal profile] iracorn 2024-03-10 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[A - You are What You See]

[The image of Ira in the mirror isn't all that different from Ira as he normally is. But there are differences. The Ira in the mirror holds himself a little higher, and seems more confident. His clothes and mask cleaner and brighter. Perhaps this is an Ira from before the Keyblade War or simply as Ira would like to see himself.

Or how he might want to be seen.]

[B - A Glimpse of Home]

[Daybreak Town always features quite heavily in moments like this. It is Ira's home, and the place he longs for above all else. The place he was happiest in. It's bright streets and open parks, the sound of other keyblade wielders going about their days. It means so much to him, and one can always get a strong sense of longing.

But there's another image that plays this time, this one quite different. In almost a direct contrast, there is a desolate crossroads, empty and dustblown, and at the center of the crossroads, five figures. From Ira's point of view, to his left stands Aced (a large man in a bear mask), and then Gula (smaller, with the mask of a leopard), and then Invi (a woman wearing the mask of a snake). And in the centre of this circle a man in a familiar black coat with the hood down. Ira would know him as Luxu, but there are some who would call him Xigbar. But hey, whatever suits you.]

[C - A Quiet Desire]

[The image is once again of Daybreak Town, but without the nostalgic air of longing. In a square, two teams seem to face off against one another, but with the spirit of friendly competition. A small tournament, between the Ursus and Unicornis Unions. And maybe some familiar faces are in the crowd or competing. And during this, Ira looks over and smiles at Aced.

Or he's up on a balcony in the evening, the moon and stars starting to shine as the sun dips below the horizon, and caught in a conversation. Perhaps with Invi, perhaps with...someone else.]

[D - A Distorted Realm]

[Within this mirrored world, one might find themselves on the Streets of Daybreak Town. But they are different from the usual, familiar cobbled streets of Ira's nostalgia. There is still warmth, and light, and promise, but it seems stiffer, more ordered. People go about their day but they do so with a directness, a solemnness.

Daybreak Town was once a town of Unions, different groups facing off against each other in competition, but never adversarial. There was always the sense that they could work together. But as you look around, you don't really see any evidence of that, or really any evidence of any other union. If there is evidence, one can only see the sigil of the Unicorn. No bears or foxes, leopards or snakes.

This is a world where Ira won the Keyblade War.]

[E - A Contrast; An Exit]

[In perhaps direct contrast to that, the world that you find is a large library. There are stacks and stacks and shelves and shelves of books. It's hard to tell where you even are. It is dusty and there's a musty, but not unpleasant smell. Just the smell of old books.

There's a vague sound of someone or something falling over, most likely books, but if you go over a few shelves, you'll find a younger looking Ira under a small pile of books, looking a little distressed. This probably isn't the first time this has happened to him, but it's still frustrating.]

Azula | Avatar: The Last Airbender | Mirrorverse

[personal profile] itstillhurt 2024-03-11 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Azula hasn't had great luck with mirrors since coming to Reverein, so she's not at all thrilled to find herself trapped inside them. But that, it seems, isn't bad enough.]

A-1. May appear closer than they are

[Not long after getting ensnared in this mirror world, she sees something alarming... herself. Or rather, herself as she was several years ago. Hair and makeup a butchered mess, laughing hysterically, lashing out erratically, too frantic and unhinged to be reasoned with. She meets the double's eyes for only a moment before it throws up an explosion of flame and vanishes.

No. No, she thinks not. She bristles visibly at the sight, immediately giving chase through the bizarre and distorted reflection of Reverein, heedless of what or who she has to get through in the process.]

A-2. I see it coming, but I can't defend

[Despite Azula's efforts, her insane reflection has actually done a pretty good job of avoiding the real thing for significant portions of the day. You might encounter her without her original anywhere within the mirror realm. Fair warning: She's exactly as unhinged as she seems. She won't be easy to reason with, but she will be... uh... violent and paranoid, and probably think you're some sort of threat. Have fun with that.]

B. Some happy and some sad

[In her single-minded fixation with finding and dealing with her past self, Azula is barely paying attention to the sights, sounds, and memories around her. To her, it's all just more scenery, more potential hiding places and tactical vantage points for the chase.

She might come across some of her memories. She might come across your memories. Either way, she's far too single-minded in her pursuit to notice until she's right in the middle of it. Have fun with that.

(OOC note: Please let me know if you want one of her memories or one of yours)]

C. No message could've been any clearer

[The longer Azula hunts her prior self through the twisted reflections, the more... odd her behavior will become, even beyond her single-minded obsession with hunting her doppelganger.

At first, she'll simply be more erratic, more temperamental. Over the course of the first day or so, her personality will increasingly degrade. Not the violent and unhinged behavior of the double, but instead sullen, overly sensitive, and oddly... needy. She'll still have her temper and her cruel tendencies (and will struggle more to control or mask them) but the childlike vulnerability will also be increasingly noticeable.

Over the course of the second day, the changes will become physical- the longer the day goes on, the younger, visually, she'll become, and by the end of the second day she will be reduced to around seven years old. Isn't she delightful?

(OOC note: Please also let me know if you want still-normal-ish-Azula, mentally-immature Azula, or kid-Azula.)]

A. I agree with the second part.

[Rachel isn't optimistic, but she's had it. If she doesn't do something that at least resembles shopping... well, her other form of stress relief is probably gonna cause some problems, so let's not.

As she feared, the clothing selection here is genuinely tragic, but she's determined to make this work. She's spending an excessive amount of time fighting making something workable out of the clothing when the change comes over the shop mirror.

And suddenly she's extremely fixated on it. Whatever she's seeing in the mirror, it's made her completely forget what she was doing. But it definitely doesn't seem like it's hypnotizing her with her heart's desire- if anything, she looks pretty freaked out.]

B. Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real...?

[Once she's stopped being transfixed by the mirror and its glimpses of the future, she's in a really bad mood. She doesn't say why, exactly, but she's clearly distracted by every reflection she passes and fairly testy with any of the strangers she meets... which is basically everybody here. She won't be actively rude, but she's not exactly sociable.

Until she comes across a mirror that shows her... no reflection at all. At least not of her. The trees, the scenery behind her, the buildings, the light, those are all reflected, but she's not.]

Wait, are you seeing this?

C. One fight at a time

[Dealing with the duplicates pretty much ground her last nerve. She's done with this. As soon as she hears about this Unknown figure who's causing problem, she's almost ecstatic. Finally, finally something she can just fight to make it better.

She immediately finds privacy, morphs a Bald Eagle, and takes to the sky, patrolling for any sign of this 'Unknown' guy. If you want to help her take him down, she won't say no. If you find him yourself, she might help you fight him.

She might even help you find him in ways you don't appreciate. Sorry. But not that sorry.]

D. You jump, I jump, right? (Locked to Tobias/@notachickenhawk)

[It seemed like a perfect plan.

The open water wasn't great for eagles, so Rachel opted for dolphin- she doesn't know if all her morphs are gonna work here, but she's definitely not wasting time on the seagull. A dolphin can get out to the open water just fine, anyway.

Of course, the koi are... well, massive. The size of whales. She's been a whale, of course, but it's still sort of staggering to swim alongside something so huge and powerful.

Especially when she demorphs to human, which she has to for the plan to work. The increasingly powerful waves that the huge catfish are generating are child's play to a dolphin (Most things are child's play to a dolphin) but as she tries to swim into position alongside the fish, those 'fun and playful' waves keep shoving her back and threatening to pull her under. Fighting to keep her head above the surface- and the salt water out of her eyes- she calls out to Tobias.]

You-

[Bleah. She sputters out some salt water that splashes into her mouth and tries again.]

You ready?

[Hey, a demorphing trance should calm them down, as long as they both get hit by it at the same time, right?]

Hermes, as a rule, didn't spend a lot of time looking into mirrors or other reflective surfaces. Nor was he especially big on window shopping. So why was he so fascinated by this particular shop window? Well if one paused to look at what it was currently displaying, that would become quite clear.

Instead of reflecting the Reverin street he's standing on or showing the wares for sale inside, it instead displays images of a collection of floating islands covered with beautiful gardens and art deco architecture and populated people in robes and masks identical to those worn by Hermes along with various fantastical creatures such as gryphons and strange plant creatures. It's easy to see how someone could be distracted by such images, playing out like a vibrantly colored silent film on the window glass, but Hermes looks almost... nostalgic. Or at least as much as possible when half of his face is hidden.

I-D: The Unknown

Catching a glimpse of a figure in black robes and a mask, Hermes at first thought it was another citizen of Etheirys standing behind him, but a closer look revealed that this was someone quite different; the mysterious and troublesome 'Unknown' who'd been harassing the citizens of Reverin. "Who are you?", he demanded of the entity. "And why are you troubling the people of Reverin?"

Dreamboard- Personal Raincloud

Sometime after the trouble with the mirrors has passed, one might find a very wet Hermes sitting on a park bench and looking rather defeated. Why is he all wet, despite it being a relatively clear day? Because there's a personal sized raincloud hovering above him, raining on him and only him. He doesn't seem very happy about it, but also seems to be somewhat at a loss as to what to do about it. Maybe someone could lend him a hand?

[Perhaps one might catch a glimpse of a young girl running about during their explorations (or frantic attempts to escape) the world on the other side of the looking glass. Though she's dressed in quite fine clothes, she hardly seems concerned with matters of propriety as she wanders the various bizarre and shifting scenes that appear to make up the mirror world, acting much more like the nine or ten year old she looks like than anyone of real importance. Especially in urban environments like bright towns with sprawling streets that may or may not make geometric sense upon closer inspection.

She's less concerned about that, though. She's on a time limit, she knows, somehow, and she wants to experience as much as she can before she's caught. If you happen to look like you know where you're going in such a place, she might even approach you, asking with bright eyes:]

Excuse me...! Do you know if there's anywhere to play bombchu bowling around here?

b)
[... But, of course, there is always a chance for a young child to get in over their head when left to their own devices. Particularly in wilder places, where nature rules over men. Even with all the bravery that youth provides, the girl with her silk dress and soft hands is absolutely not equipped to navigate such environments. She hides, hunkering down somewhere small as can be, a quiet whimper revealing her location only to those paying particular attention.]

... Impa— someone, please, I want to go home...

[Meanwhile - for what are surely entirely unrelated reasons - Sheik is not having a good time.

He presses the heel of a too delicate (possibly six fingered) hand to his eye, a migraine wrinkling his brow as waves of rose gold hair spill out over his cowl. His voice is low upon seeing someone recognizably from Reverein, and his words terse, silently begging for equally quick responses.]

Have you seen a child pass through here? Or any scenes from the land of Hyrule, for that matter?

[He'd really, really appreciate getting the hell out of here as quickly as possible, thanks.]

A Recall from the Past
(As she is going about tidying up the outdoor portion of her house, Anya could have just ignore washing the windows for the time being and just hope and pray that nothing weird will happen for the second time in a row. It is one thing that she got cursed into being a servant princess in the Enchanted Forest but she unknowingly took a glance on the window to find a very familiar memory from home.

In the window reflection, a family on a tennis court could be seen. Four young girls (ages raging from 8 to 14) are seen happily playing tennis and giggling in a careful tone in white dresses and colorful ribbons (someone who knows Anya at this point may spot a familiar looking 8 year old red haired girl wearing blue ribbons and with blue detailing on her dress) while a young boy in a sailor suit is being watched over by an older man in a sailor’s uniform. Not far away a man in his mid to late 40’s and his wife, a woman four years younger than him, were seating in some benches, seeing what their children are up.

This is too good to be real and Anya tries to ignore this strange feeling of wanting to see her family being whole again despite the fact it has been years since all of them were alive and well. Somebody might need to get her back to reality real soon.)

Facing the Unknown
(Having caught a swift look at the mysterious cloaked figure and seeing them causing chaos in town, Anya has som suspicions that Rasputin might have weaseled his way into Reverein and he could try to put more lives in trouble so just he can get his revenge. Even after some years has passed, she still has a major grudge over him and will resort to violence if she has to. So she and Pooka begin to chase after them in the hopes to find out what they are up to and why they want to inflict so much trouble onto Reverein.

After spending a good amount of time tracking them down, she is shocked to discovered that the figure doesn’t have Rasputin’s face, instead their face (if any at all) has a mask covered it up. Yep she just cornered the Unknown and she is not liking what she has seen at all. Nope nope nope, this is going to be very bad.)

Grrr…. Bark, bark, bark! Grrr!!!

Bozhe moi! What are you and why are you spreading chaos onto this town?

Wait- I Don’t Remember It Like This!
(Anya at some point feels like she needs to get into the Mirror World to find out where the other people were taken to and volunteers to go inside and rescue them. But like anyone else, Anya is not spared from the effects of this messed up dimensions.

The dimension soon shifted into a large bedroom, decorated in fine furniture, satin beddings and fancy wallpaper. Anya begins to suspect that she might enter into the bedroom where her mother had given birth to someone dear to her heart. Maybe she could relive the birth of her dear little brother for once in her life?

But much to her own horror as she carefully looks at the infant wrapped in blankets in Alexandra’s arms, the eyes and hair of the fifth child in the Imperial family is completely off as soon as she hears the words from her mother to her father while a younger version of herself and her older sisters were soon allowed to enter the room for the first time in a few hours to meet their new baby brother.)

Nicky, my dear. It looks like we finally have a boy in our family. The Lord has managed to finally answer to our prayers- Oh my! Nicky. He seems to have a pair of emerald green eyes and blond hair.

WHAT!?! How could this weird world manage to get my brother’s eyes and hair color very wrong?!?

(But as Anya is about to find out, Alexei’s genetics aren’t the only things wrong in this twisted memory like how Tatiana for some reason is wearing glasses, Olga’s dress not matching her younger sister’s, and Maria having much smaller eyes than Anya can remember. Not to mention Nicholas being unusually clean shaven in this scenario. Oh dear.)

An Unwanted Makeover
(Uh oh, it looks like Isabela has gotten a new makeover while tidying up her flower shop and she is angry that the glass window on her storefront is giving her a hard time. It was supposed to be a nice time to get Madrigal Blooms cleaned up and ready for spring time and she is expecting a huge influx of customers wanting to book her for any wedding and party they want to get her services for.

Well it would have a great spring cleaning session for her if it weren’t one accidental look on the window reflection that caught Isa off guard. Something is clearly off with said reflection: while other parts of her look fine and still remain as they are, her hair and clothes aren’t so lucky. Instead of colorful pollen dye and a noticeable edgy feminine style, the hair is painfully platinum blond and her outfit looks too awfully prim and polished for her own liking.

Now before she can book it and run, the glass window/mirror manages to change her look to reflect what it has shown to her.)

What the-

(Please excuse Isabela as she begins to rage on about how embarrassingly preppy looking she got and rant against this unwanted makeover to bits. She is clearly not fine and happy about this.)

Finding an Escape
(Eventually Isa decides to risk it and hop into the Mirror World to hopefully find anybody trapped inside this awfully distorted mess. Geez somebody should have supervised Jack Frost on how to cast spells on mirrors without causing too much unexpected chaos. Still determined to find a way forward, Isa hopes to lead the way out of this mess. Luckily she is able to spot the anchor point so she takes a mental note to remember it by heart and mind before making a sprint for any trapped people.

At some point, Isa would encounter a dreamer (you perhaps) and she offers a hand so they can get up and join her on the way out.)

Gabriel Agreste | Miraculous Ladybug

[personal profile] papillion_de_resistance 2024-03-13 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
I-A: Most Desired

Given his profession and general desire to look well put together, it's not all that unusual to see Gabriel Agreste looking into a mirror. It is a bit strange, however, to see him staring into one for an extended period. Especially one that seemed to be tinged pink. But he's definitely staring into one now, smiling fondly at what he sees. Which would be all well and good, except he doesn't seem to really hear it when someone addresses him, which is... concerning. Maybe someone should take a look at what he's staring at to figure out what's going on? Or better yet, try and pull him away from the mirror before he zones out any further.

I-B: Clone Wars

Those out and about in Reverin might be treated to an unusual sight, namely Gabriel Agreste in a very tacky, very orange suit. And if that wasn't unusual enough, a short time later, Gabriel Agreste comes by yet again, wearing his normal clothes and a concerned expression, though this time he doesn't just pass by. Instead he comes over and asks, "Excuse me, but have you seen... well, me? Or rather a duplicate of me dressed all in orange? It's very urgent that I find him."

Dream Board- Sweet Child O Mine

If there was one thing Gabriel Agreste knew, it was fabric. And thus when asked to help prepare cashmere wraps for a basket of orphaned kittens, he was more than up to the task. Upon finding out he was supposed to help rock them to sleep afterwards however, the task suddenly became much more daunting. His attempt is clearly well meaning but ends up awkward at best, and isn't very effective in helping the kittens settle into sleep. Someone lend this man a hand, maybe?

Ferran ♦ OC

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2024-03-13 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
🔶 I-A

[There's some small part of Ferran that panics when he hears of people falling through mirrors. Frankly, the last time he had that experience, it became a source of no small number of his nightmares, and he's very much not interested in repeating anything like that ever again. So his initial instinct, whenever he sees someone in a trance near those mirrors, or even just something unusual in a reflection, is to immediately break the surface with his summoned sword. Mirror, window, doesn't matter. He'll make it up to whoever might want it intact later.

There's nothing he wants to see. His old home, clean and pleasant but so often empty. The penthouse apartment where he thought he could recover that was no better than a cage. His school, where he pushed his precious friends away if he couldn't avoid them entirely, even as they tried to smile at him.

It all gets smashed.]

🔶 II-A.1

[But eventually, it becomes clear that his aggressive approach isn't the solution. Parts of his friends have been drawn into the mirror, and apparently... they have to head inside to get them back.

He hates every part of it.

Maybe it's no surprise that his horrible experience is what escapes from him in the mirror world: a prim Fae with white-gold moth wings, reflective red eyes too large for his face, and translucent scales leaving a glittery trail as he flies to each reflection to see if he might find the one he seeks. The Fae is desperate and hurried whenever he's found, and his hands grip some of the mirrors so hard they crack at the edges, even where it seems like his fingers don't quite reach. He looks as if he might cry if he had the energy, but there are dark circles under his doll-like eyes that speak to a deep exhaustion.]

Where is it... where is my mirror?!

🔶 II-A.2

[Ferran of the present day, though, can be found not far behind the fairy; close enough to get in a few short minutes of conversation with his past self, if one meets them first.

He's transformed in only a mild sense, his magical persona changing little about his appearance aside from the torn elegant costume and a crest of red hair where his bangs typically are. But there's something sharp and terrible in his expression, and where the Fae seems hopeless, Ferran is determined. There's a silver bow in his hand, red eyes fixed on the fairy dust his other self has left behind.]

Fragment of their old self

[There's a somber little boy wandering around, the tangled mess of long red hair is not quite enough to hide his pointed ears. He wanders around in silence, looking with wide eyed curiosity at any mirror he comes across obviously searching for any hint of familiarity within them. Anyone who for one reason or another may seem approachable to him will be greeted with a small tug at their sleeve or the hem of their shirt by the boy.]

Forgive me, kind stranger, but could you help me get home? Ammë and atar will be worried if I'm gone for too long...

Distorted memories

Get thee gone, and take thy due place!

[Once again watching his father, eyes blazing with rage, hold a sword to hid uncles throat makes him feel that old bitter frustration build up inside of him again. Things could have been so very different if only his father hadn't been so focused on hating his half brothers so much...

It is almost enough to make him miss the bits and pieces of the memory that doesn't quite add up. Like the fact that his fathers sigil is not quite right, the star only has seven points missing it's last for some reason.]

Warped sense of self

[It starts so small he doesn't even notice it at first. His eyes grow a bit brighter, his hair a little bit more vividly red, small insignificant changes that mean nothing. But when his scars start to fade he takes notice with a growing sense of dread, he does not like the notion of his very self being changed and tampered with like this.

When his right hand returns it is almost enough to make him scream, if not for the fact that he was too shocked to do anything but stare at it in horror.]

A - Most Desired
[If Pauline had a nickel for every time a magic mirror put her into a trance by showing her visions, she would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

While out and about doing her usual day to day, she finds herself staring at a decorative mirror...and sees herself. She's happy. She's popular. She has so many friends and people like her so much! A tired looking man in a suit smiles as he ruffles her hair and pulls her into a tight hug.

A woman stands before her. Her face is expressionless, but gently, she lifts a hand and pats Pauline on the head. She says something and the Pauline in the mirror smiles.
Pauline stares into the mirror, mesmerized, as her eyes glaze over.]

B - Duplicates

[Anyone who may be a regular visitor or is just nearby Pauline's home may hear quite the commotion coming from inside. Several voices, each just a tiny bit different, can be heard from within, shouting and talking over one another. "Well, I'm the better Pauline." "Noooo, that's not fair! I'm a good Pauline, too! I'm good!" "We have no rubrick to measure against." "Can you guys chill, I'm trying to sleep." "Are you gonna eat that?"

Eventually, an exasperated Pauline stumbles out the door, several objects tumbling out the door after her as she turns to look back inside. She normally wouldn't be so aggressive but the fact that they all seem to be her...]

I don't know how this happened, but you've all like, totally gotta go!

[If one were to take a peek inside, they would see that not only is Pauline's normally neat home full of a ridiculous amount of duplicate items, some still spilling out of the mirror, but there's also a whole herd of somewhat off Paulines, chattering away at one another.]

C - Mirrorsnatched
[After all that, Pauline can't help but feel a little strange. Even with everything going on, she feels...unconcerned? Sucks to be some of these people, but man, none of this is her problem and she's glad she doesn't have to deal with it. As such, she's just kind of going about her day, observing whatever chaos might be unfolding near her.

Aang | Avatar The Last Airbender

[personal profile] all_the_aangles 2024-03-15 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Strange Reflections

He can be found regarding a mirror, and he's...smiling, gently. To be the Avatar is to live with your past, quite literally. He has communed with his past selves many times, the Avatar being reborn in each new generation. But this time, the mirror has granted him something different, and sublime.

It's not much of anything, to someone who doesn't know. He sits, cross-legged, watching a young woman in blue, strong with short hair; who seems to move in slow motion, the elaborate movements of her body calling up gusts of wind, blasts of fire, waves of earth - his future self, the next Avatar.

That is all well and good, and he'll be happy to talk about it with passerby - but there are other mirrors, and the next one shows another woman in blue, with long-flowing hair, swirling water around her with fantastic grace. That image pulls him in further and further...

Mirror World - Old Self

He's not proud of all of his past. There's things about being the Avatar - becoming the Avatar - that are dangerous, even a little bit dark. Once upon a time, he could not control the Avatar State - a time of enhanced power that he had, once, feared.

And he can see himself - or a version of himself - walking through the mirror world. He hides behind a column, looking out at it: it looks like Aang, but the eyes are pure white, and power swirls about him, ready to be used. Or unleashed. He has to stop it from getting out - but that carries significant risks with it...

D - Finding an Exit

When the time comes to get out, he has passed through...many mirrors, some in random frustration - and has seen many places he has barely had the time to explore.

But when he finds one that leads out - he pounds at it, trying to call out to anyone who might hear.

[ It's a quiet day, like most days have been.

And like most days, Trahearne spends his time at Zhongli's house, surrounded by the things and the stories he keeps, and he finds comfort in all of this. Today, his cat has tagged along, and she snoozes comfortably in the corner. (He's been spending a lot of time here, lately...)

Today, Trahearne is trying to brew tea. He doesn't have the delicate tastebuds for tea, but a few of his dear friends here, who have come and gone, have liked tea and brought it to him in times of need. It's about time he learns how to make at least a simple cup, so that he can repay the favor to at least one person. ]

I can't say it will taste very good. [ He walks steady back towards where Zhongli sits, a tray with the teapot and two cups balanced in his hands. He can smell the faint floral scent, and wonders if it's the same scent as when Zhongli makes it. ] But it comes from the heart, and I hope that makes up for any shortcomings.

[ It's funny, because he doesn't have a heart.

Anyway, he places the tray on the nearby table and settles in next to Zhongli. He pours the tea into the cup and he observes the color through the steam, generally satisfied with it. When it's full, he takes the cup and delicately hands it to Zhongli. ]

Here y—

[ He doesn't notice the way a nearby mirror gleams. Before he can even finish his sentence, there's a burst of color all around them. The colors ooze out of everything—the couch, the table, the bookshelves, the floor—and everything becomes an indiscernible mess of incomprehensible shapes and colors. All sense of direction and dimension is lost, and all that is left is the teacup in his hand.

Trahearne's eyes dart around wildly before settling on Zhongli again, confusion and panic clear on his plant-like features. What is going on? ]

I A.

[The mirror Iris stands in front of reflects the cozy image of 221B Baker Street, and a fan of a certain series of mystery stories might spot enough things to deduce the address. It's not exactly what's usually described, though.

In the main room is the great detective himself, Herlock Shomes. With him is a much smaller Iris, probably no more than seven, carrying a pink bear doll under one arm. She refers to him as "Daddy". He motions her to sit on the sofa, and she hops on it. He sits in the nearby armchair, and after a moment a very difficult conversation plays out.

Poor Iris is clearly quite shocked as he informs her that he's not really her father. He tries to soften the blow with additional information; he told her now because he knew she was astute enough to figure it out and he wouldn't be able to hide it from her. He also promises that when the time is right, he'll tell her about her real father.

It may be a relief when the image of her upset little face blurs, and another moment in that dwelling begins. It's later, but not by much. Perhaps it's even the same day. Sholmes speaks to her, and in her response, she now calls him "Hurley". This time you get to watch him be completely shocked, but after a bit he seems to silently accept it.

The present-day Iris looks very ashamed and guilty as she watches these scenes.
]

I'm so sorry, Hurley...

She walks slowly with perfectly practiced posture, and will occasionally address anyone who happens to pass by. The kindness also seems to carry over to this version of her, at least.]

Excuse me. Would you please let my mummy know where I am? We've gotten separated somehow, and I do hate to worry her.

((TRIGGER WARNING: This is based on Alastor's early days in Hell. Hell is not a nice place, and Alastor is a cannibalistic serial killer.))

Mirror World - The Missing Overlords and Mysterious Broadcast

The bars of Hell were filled with twisted demons of all sorts exchanging gossip. Right now there were two topics of conversation dominating the gossip chain:

The first was a strange broadcast of screams over the radio. Quiet at first, almost unnoticeable. However, it'd been getting louder the longer it went on.

The second and more pressing topic was that overlords were starting to go missing. These overlords had ruled unopposed for centuries, easily crushing every upstart that tried to make a name for themselves. Yet one by one, they were starting to vanish with no one stepping up to take credit.

Alastor sat at the bar, sipping a whiskey as he took in the latest gossip with his usual enigmatic smile. His eyes briefly flashed to radio dials as some drunk ran into him and cussed at him for being clumsy before staggering off. He swiped his closest neighbor's whiskey glass, tossing it back before getting up. His "victim" growled but didn't make a move otherwise. The deer was known for being stronger than the average newly-fallen sinner, but he wasn't anything to be all that concerned with.

Care to pull up to the bar and make friends?

Mirror World - Beware the Radio Demon

A richly-dressed fish demon ran along the emptied streets, looking desperately about for aid. Spying a stranger -- uncaring of who they were or what they looked like -- she grabbed hold.

"Help me!" she pleaded, eyes wide with terror, tears making her mascara run. "He's coming!"

Streetlamps began flickering. In the distance a tall man with large fluffy ears appeared and disappeared as the light above them kept turning on and off.

[Despite Yato's misgivings about mirrors after everything that's happened with them in the last few months, his roommates have insisted on keeping some of the damn things around the house. Which wouldn't have normally been a problem since they agreed to at least keep the bathroom one covered just in case.

The only issue?

Yato is not a morning person. So when he ambles on in to do his usual routine of brushing his teeth, he both fails to notice the lack of reflection AND forgets to cover the mirror afterwards, leaving it open to some uninvited guests.

By the time he's functional enough to head out into the world for the day, so are a small army of mismatched, oddly colored clones of him. From a blond one to one in formal attire to a military dress one, they're all sporting (even more) oddball personalities than the original.

Yet none of them are destructive like the one he has prior experience with, so this once Yato opts to let them be for a time. They seems friendly enough and they might be handy to have around. His own personal army of Mes!

Their first stop? The market!

The gang (gaggle? swarm? horde?? pack???) of Yatos make their way across town, talking and bickering amongst themselves, with their original leader trying to keep them all from veering away to do their own thing. A harder task than one might assume of a thousand-year-old god. It doesn't help that each of his doppelgangers has some kind of hangup of his own he wants to focus on - one wants to check out the forge for weapons, one the tailor, yet another the bar. Blondie's already run ahead and left them behind. Sheesh.

At the market it becomes clear that maybe this wasn't such a hot idea after all. If Yato had taken a few moments to think critically about his own behavior, he'd had realized that taking himself out on a field trip would involve WAY more trouble than it was worth. Because the blond one of him that's run on ahead has decided he's going to play at being a sales associate by stocking the damn store and offering advice or help to anyone he encounters.

While Original!Yato tries to catch up to him, the one in the military dress decides to shop the most effective way possible: by buying one of everything until his basket is overflowing with unnecessary things and he finds himself in the ladies' health section, pondering, er, useful monthly items with the utmost seriousness.

One of him sporting gold eyes and a flower garland has found the party goods and opted to wear two (2) party hats at once, making him look like a festive demon or something. Once he snatches a pack of party blowers, he really goes to town, handing them out to anyone he passes with a merry laugh.

As for Mr. Formal Attire, he's cornering anyone with a pulse and hitting on them. Badly. Some things never change.]

A Harem for Hiyori: (Locked to [personal profile] wwtd)

[When Hiyori gets home, she may not notice anything amiss at first. The usual calling out of "I'm home!" is met with a cheerful "Welcome back!" from the kitchen, followed shortly by Yato hurrying out in his stocking feet to take her coat and plant a quick kiss on her lips as he takes her shopping back to be put away.

Things only get a little odd as she continues through the house, for Yato seems extremely busy even for him: when she comes into the living room, he's decorating Rainy with a flower garland, pausing only to steal another kiss. Then it seems like he hurries on into her bedroom, where he's making the bed and dusting - and insisting on yet another kiss. After being shooed out so she can change, he's there at her door, waiting with a bouquet of flowers and - you guessed it - desiring another peck on the lips. But before she can ask too many questions, his godly hearing picks up something and he runs down the hallway with a wave and a bright smile, leaving her standing there alone.

From there it might get weirder as the sound of multiple voices - whispers, really, emanate from the kitchen. The closer she gets, the more it sounds like Yato bickering with himself in harsh mutters, his voice sounding slightly off save for when it gets raised louder with a "shhh!" Something is definitely up.

And what that is becomes obvious when she enters the kitchen: there's not one, not two, not even three of Yato, but at least six of him hanging about doing various tasks, from peeling potatoes to making more flower garlands to mopping up a spilled mess on the table. Yet despite the arguing, it all stops as one of them spots Hiyori and beams - an act that goes like a wave through the room as each identical face sporting brilliant blue (or in one case, gold) eyes swerves to face her in greeting. And then, in perfect unison:]

Hiya, Hiyori! Welcome home!

I C.

[Usually, Martel lives to help others. She can't pass a person who seems to be in any sort of need and not try to do something for them. She has no trouble sharing someone's pain so it's not as much of a weight on them, no matter how loaded down she pretends she isn't.

While there are unusual things happening all over Reverein, the change in Martel is particularly striking. In terms of her body and dress, she's exactly the same. But she doesn't smile. She seemingly takes no notice of the world around her. When a child not far away trips and scrapes his knee, his crying garners no reaction from her.

She's been known to be clumsy, so that might explain why she accidentally bumps you as she's trying to walk by. No matter the actual circumstances, she frowns at you.
]

Would you watch it? You're in the way.

II A.

[Whether or not the actual Martel is nearby, there's a version of her who's definitely not the same. She doesn't look any younger, and everything about her dress and style is exactly the same. It's thanks to that odd sense of skin baring style that you can see some odd crystal growths along her left arm, shoulder, and side. On occasion when she moves a part there, she winces.

While this Martel can smile and be polite, it's pretty clear that her entire drive just seems to be gone. Something has completely taken away all of her hope, and this is an unaltered vision of her in the past, not another effect of the mirrors.

As she tries to find an exit, she approaches you.
]

Excuse me, do you know how I can get out of here? It wouldn't be right for me to die away from everyone else.

II D.

[Find a way of this strange world is a priority for Martel, if only so everyone else has one too. Unfortunately, she doesn't always have the best memory, so anything remotely resembling a town gets her attention. When this happens, she speaks half to herself and half to anyone who may want to listen.]

Oh, is this it...?

[It probably isn't. But hey, maybe you can find a whole new place with her!]

For someone who wasn't particularly vain, somehow she was getting caught by a whole lot of mirror tricks this month.

You are what you see Cws: none.

A glance in a mirror as she was passing through on her way into town startled her and she stopped. Why did she... She reached to touch the reflection, and yeah the mirror her had long pointed ears like Kigi, though she looked otherwise like herself. "Weird..." she said, backing away from it. "Too weird." She reached up to play with her earring, confused but then she felt...

Why were her ears suddenly so long. "Why.... WHY AM I AN ELF?!"
