[It's hot. There's more to the day, yes, but it's hot. That's all Wanderer really cares about, especially since it's so hot his flying kitten is still asleep in his house and not perched on his hat.

Wanderer really, really hates the heat. He hates the cold too, but for some reason the heat is making him cranky. Why couldn't his creator have thought to put in a cooling system of some sort? No, he doesn't want to sweat, but it would be nice to be able to be cool in this gross heat!

He's sitting under a tree by the lake, trying to cool off and debating if he really wants to stick his feet in the lake. It's tempting.]

Maybe, but... [Heizou flashes Wanderer a little grin.] We're improvising~!

[And immediately he's chatting up one of the employees, asking them to help him find the right sizes for shirts and shorts and hats. Don't worry if you hear him refer to you as wardrobe impaired at some point, Wanderer, he's just painting a picture for this hapless employee. But they're moving around soon enough, pulling out articles of clothing and holding them up against Wanderer's chest to check the size, how the color looks against his skin and hair, and soon enough they have a nice little pile of lightweight outfits for Wanderer to try on. At which point Heizou turns back to his friend with a smile.]

Okay, time to try everything on!

[This isn't the usual way he earns his nickname, but this is definitely a cyclone of sorts!]

[He does hear that comment about being "wardrobe impaired", and he absolutely glares at Heizou the entire time this happens.]

None of that is going to go with my hat or a veil.

[And the hat stays on. Better find a stand-in.]

[He sees that glare. He doesnt mind it in the slightest. He ik fact just gives Wanderer a light pat on the shoulder the first time he sees it on his face.]

Your hat, hmm..? Let's see what we can do about that.

[He darts away for a second, asking the employee to make sure his friend doesn't run away... and then comes back with a black bucket hat with cat ears.]

Tadah~!

Cat ears. Really?

[Let him put it on you, Wanderer. Please please pleeeeeease~]

It's even got trailing ribbons like your hat does!

[....if he protested that the ribbons aren't the point Heizou might come back with something worse.]

Find one without the cat ears.

[But he'll take the outfits (and shoot Heizou a look for getting him pants with holes in them what the hell) and head into a changing room.]

[Heizou's grin grows a little, obviously pleased, as he turns to find a version without the ears.]

Okay, okay! I just thought it would be cute on you. You'd better show me each outfit as you try them on, though!

[Don't make him complain to Venti!]

[He sticks his head out of the changing room door to look at Heizou, unamused (and confused).]

Why?

[He holds up a hand and starts ticking off on his fingers-]

Firstly? To make sure that you're actually properly trying them on. Second, to check that you've actually put everything on correctly. Third, so we can discuss what you do or don't like about each piece.

And finally... because I said so~! ♡ [Smile smile~]

You could have stopped at the third one, you know. You aren't Nahida. [Or Venti.

But he is going back into the dressing room.]

[That makes him chuckle softly as he wanders away in search of a non-cat hat. It doesn't take long, and within a few minutes he comes back to the changing rooom, knocking gently on the door.]

I found a hat for you~ How's it going in there so far?

[Wanderer pulls the door open to show Heizou the outfit with the torn jeans.]

Why do these pants have holes in them?

[Heizou blinks when the door swings open, and then a smile spreads scross his face as he claps his hands in approval.]

I assume it's a style thing. Though that having been said I think it looks great on you!

[He steps forward to make some little adjustments here and there, lightly brushing his shoulders, tugging gently on the shirt. And then he places the hat he brought over his head and steps back to appraise his work.]

Yes, not bad at all! Holes aside, what do you think?

I can't stand these pants. I already want to patch them up.

[The fact that he isn't complaining about the rest is a good sign, right?]

[Heizou will take his wins where he can get them.]

That makes sense. And the hat? Is it to your liking now that it doesn't have cat ears?

It isn't big enough for Arashi to sit on. ...but it's fine, otherwise.

Oh, is that the concern?

[Heizou tilts his head curiously, the smile on his face spreading.]

All right, then. Go try on some of the other clothes and I'll look for a hat with a larger brim.

[threebetrayals]

She complains if I make her fly too often. [He spoils his cat, fight him.] A wider brim keeps people out of my space, as well.

[But into the next outfit!]

[There will be no fighting about that here. Heizou acfually thinks it's pretty cute.

But off he goes in search of a wider brimmed hat! It takes a little longer, but he does eventually return to Wanderer's changing room with a simple black fedora.]

I think I found something for you, if you're ready for it.

[Wanderer comes out in one of the outfits with a jacket and odd tank top, slightly more comfortable but still kind of awkward in the outfit.]

Where's the hat?

[book2thehead]

[Heizou's all smiles again once he gets a look at Wanderer in the outfit. He thinks he looks great, and he's also pretty proud of himself and the selections he'd made.]

The hat is right here~

[He fits the fedora on Wanderer's head, makes a few tiny adjustments to it, then steps back again to take the whole outfit in.]

Well? What do you think? How do you feel?

[The look on Wanderer's face as he looks in the mirror is one of supreme discomfort and uncertainty, at least for a few moments before he schools it into something more typical of him.]

The hat looks like something Childe would wear. [It does not, he just can't resist jabs at his ex-coworker even now and he also needs to get the rudeness out of his system before he can even try to find something good about it.] ...the pockets on these pants would be useful, at least, and the top would be cooler than my usual shirt.

[That comment makes Heizou chuckle.] You're not wrong there. It certainly doesn't suit you as well as the other hat did.

[If worse comes to worst, they may have to let Wanderer wear his usual hat with these new clothes. But Heizou won't share that with him just yet.]

We'll keep the top and the pants then, hmm? And the previous top as well. I'll find another hat for you, too.

[Honestly just find him a hoodie and a kitten sling for Arashi.

Still wondering how he got talked into this, Wanderer heads in to change into the outfit with the stripped glove-things and the shirt...that...shows a bit of his stomach oh no. Just because he goes around in shorts doesn't mean he wants people to see the rest of him oh no.]

[You can have a hoodie when it gets cold, Wanderer. This is summer shopping!]

[Heizou goes around looking for another hat, this time coming back with a simple baseball cap. And, as usual, he knocks on the door when he returns.]

Are you ready for hat number three? This one feels promising to me~
